Welcome to the Possession Experiment, a thrilling game where You must take control of other people and decide their lives and fates in order to survive. The Possession Experiment is set in Base 75, a top-secret underground bunker operated by DEM Corp, an organization dedicated to paranormal experimentation. As a scientist working for DEM Corp, your objective is to test the effects of human possession. However, things take a dark turn when an entity escapes containment, leaving the facility in lockdown. With most of the staff dead, you find yourself trapped in the control room, cut off from the outside world.
To survive, you must navigate the bunker, fix the malfunctioning EMP device, neutralize the entity, and escape before the device runs out of power. But there's a catch – you can only control your escape using the subjects of your possession experiment. The game offers no checkpoints or save systems, and if a test subject dies, they are dead for good. It's a race against time as you balance your own survival with the fate of those you control.
The storyline of the Possession Experiment revolves around your character's desperate bid for survival amidst the chaos of a containment breach. As the entity roams the bunker freely, you must rely on your possession experiment to escape unharmed. The ultimate objective is to fix the EMP device, which will neutralize the entity and allow you to reach the elevator leading to safety.
Throughout the game, you will encounter various obstacles, puzzles, and challenges. Your decisions and actions will determine the outcome of the game, with multiple endings available Based on your choices. Will you successfully navigate the bunker and escape? Or will you fall victim to the entity's wrath?
One of the key mechanics in the Possession Experiment is the ability to control the test subjects to aid your escape. Through a computer interface, you can possess the test subjects and use their abilities to progress through the game. Each test subject can carry three inventory items, including weapons to ward off the entity. However, be mindful that weapons can only temporarily deter the entity, not kill it.
The test subjects are your lifeline in the game, allowing you to access different areas, solve puzzles, and Gather essential items. Strategically controlling the right test subject at the right time is crucial for your survival. Be aware of the entity's presence and use the test subjects wisely to outsmart and avoid confrontations.
The entity in the Possession Experiment comes in two different forms – a gas-like form and a solid form. In its gas-like form, the entity is invisible and can travel through small spaces. However, it cannot harm you or Interact with physical objects. In its solid form, the entity is more dangerous and can cause physical harm. However, inflicting enough damage to the entity will force it back into the gas-like form temporarily.
While you cannot kill the entity, defending yourself is essential for survival. Utilize the weapons at your disposal to ward off the entity when necessary. Keep in mind that the entity possesses some animal instinct and will retreat if harmed enough to kill a living human. This will buy you time to escape, but it's Never a permanent solution. Your best strategy is to rely on stealth, Puzzle -solving, and avoiding direct confrontation.
The Possession Experiment offers a challenging and immersive environment to explore. As you navigate the bunker, be on the lookout for items, clues, and puzzles that will aid your escape. Some items are randomly located between playthroughs, adding an element of unpredictability to the game.
The map and cameras play a vital role in finding your way around the bunker. Zoom in on the map to see camera names and locations, and pay Attention to glitching room numbers, indicating the entity's presence. Solving puzzles will require keen observation, critical thinking, and effective use of the possessed test subjects. Keep track of your objectives and use the knowledge gained through experimentation to progress.

Synopsis: A student takes the opportunity to delve in to the world of exorcisms for a theology project and offers to be possessed via a live stream online.
Commendation has to go to The Possession Experiment, because there is a drive to do something new here. The idea of a young man’s obsession with exorcisms leading him to volunteer to be possessed is an instantly intriguing concept and one I was keen to see executed. Unfortunately, the execution is where the film begins to stumble. After the intense and exciting start that was filled with promise, we are taken to a classroom where the change in tone and style is striking. Gone are the creative visuals and stylish edge; replaced by a dull grey-blue colour palette and a series of clichés. Our protagonist Brandon shares his bedroom with your classic jock type character who says “pussy” a lot, the rain pours relentlessly outside and a POV camera shot suggests something sinister is lurking in the bedroom. Uh oh, cheese alert.
It doesn’t end there, because Brandon soon meets his partner for his exorcism project. He’s the comedic relief; and a smoker who looks like he’s never smoked in his life. Every time he lights up becomes a distraction and reminder of how amateur The Possession Experiment is. With a little more of that initial creativity and a stronger cast; this could have been something spectacular. Instead, it’s a watchable, but flawed possession story with hints of promise and potential. It never quite strikes the balance between its core drive to be different and its ability to do so, and it’s disappointing because there is a great film beneath the clichés and over-complication.
In terms of over-complication, The Possession Experiment tries to juggle too much within its story. Writer-editor-cinematographer-director (that alone is impressive) Scott B. Hansen begins to transfer his juggling abilities to the story which tackles too many different ideas. The base of the film could have focused on Brandon’s interest in possessions and exorcisms, with his drive to prove their legitimacy leading him to want to be possessed himself. In turn, his curiosity what be his demise, because we all know what happens to the cat. It’s a simple concept, but it could have been effective. There is a nice touch with Brandon’s need to document the possession live online, because that cements the story in a very authentic reality. In this world of Facebook Live, YouTube and Snapchat, that’s exactly what a young student of today would do. However, scripted in to the story is an unnecessary twist that is eventually shoe-horned in just over the half-way mark. This new narrative strand poses the idea that possession can be inherited, which admittedly, is a great little idea, but one that doesn’t feel at home within this narrative.
All in all, The Possession Experiment is a fairly solid film, and has a few touches that are very impressive. The first few scenes are particularly great, but it’s a shame that the remainder of the film can’t maintain the creativity present in those opening few minutes. That being said, the concept alone warrants enough for this film to be watched and there is a refreshing amount of unpredictability present, which is rare for a modern day tale about possession.

The Possession Experiment is an intense Sci-Fi horror game that plays like a blend of Resident Evil and Five Nights at Freddy’s , as you possess test subjects and use them to help you escape the research facility you’re trapped in.
Developed by Alex Olinkiewicz (creator of Frostbite and Frostbite: Deadly Climate ), The Possession Experiment sees you trying to escape from a research facility that you’re trapped in after one of their freaky paranormal experiments escaped containment. You have locked yourself in the control room out of immediate danger, but also away from the various items you’ll need to make your escape. However, you can use the technology the facility was developed to possess and remotely control three human test subjects.
To escape you need to fix an EMP device that will disable the evil entity for 30 seconds, in which time you’ll be able to make a break from the control room to the escape elevator. Your three remotely controlled test subjects effectively give you three lives to complete your escape. They can’t take much damage before they die, but there’s an assortment of weapons scattered around the facility that they can use to fend off the monster and there are health packs too to help them recover from damage. They can only carry three items and a weapon at once so you have to do a bit of inventory management as you attempt to fix the EMP while staying armed and healthy.
Taking around 30 minutes to play through (though it also has multiple endings), The Possession Experiment is a very impressive slice of old school survival horror with a clever premise and a very tense atmosphere. The CCTV interface is a fantastic touch that not only gives you a real reason for the classic Resident Evil style fixed camera angles, but also makes you feel immersed in the experience. Your character is literally sitting right in the middle of the action as it unfolds and you can see and hear the monster and the test subjects moving around when they’re nearby. Highly recommended.

Endings are secret achievements that the players can find within The Experiment. Most endings are difficult to obtain, and many of them can be seen as "Bad Endings." After an ending is obtained, everything will reset, including the items that players have in their inventories. Upon finding an ending for the first time, players will receive a new Outfit for them to wear. There are currently 11 endings with 1 more to come in the next update for version 8.
