Admissions to the M.Sc program at IGNOU will be done on the basis of merit in the last qualifying examination. The selection process for the M.Sc program at IGNOU is purely merit-based. Candidates are enrolled at this university on the basis of merit secured in Graduation in the relevant subject.

University's admission committee will release the merit list on the basis of marks secured in the qualifying examination.
Shortlisted candidates have to visit the Regional Office/ Study Center with all required documents.
Document verification and payment of program fees will confirm admission.

How to Apply?

Necessary steps to apply online for admission into M.Sc at the IGNOU:

Visit the official website of IGNOU @ http://ignou.ac.in/
Click on the “ Register Online” tab and select the “Fresh Admission” menu.
Redirect to another tab and there will be two options “Registered User Login” and “Click Here for New Registration”.
Click on “ New Registration” and fill in the required registration details.
After filling in all the necessary information, click on the “SUBMIT” button.
Instantly the username will be sent to the registered email id & phone number.
Re-login using the login credentials.
Then, the candidates are required to enter personal details, education qualification details, and course details.
After filling the application form, candidates have to pay the application fee through Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking/ UPI.
Then, submit the duly filled application form and take a printout of it.

Non Submission of Assignment

The TMA for each semester can be downloaded from the Student Zone of the University website. You have to complete the assignment within the due dates specified in the assignment booklet. You will not be allowed to appear for the term-end examination for any course if you do not submit the assignment in time for that course. If you appear in the term-end examination, without submitting the assignments, the result of the term-end examination is liable to be canceled.

Again now a days the field in related to environment like disaster management, climate change etc. •Facalty is available for the student and they are ready to help students any time. Ratio is correctly not known but I can say that it's good. •Facalty is highly educated with PhD holder and other high qualified. Teaching method is basically online distance mode. They provides notes in pdf formate and through video classes. Offline books are provided through postal address. Study materials are easily available on the official website and different application of the official. • Exams are conducted as both semester and yearly method. It was feasible i would have said, if i would have got the quality education. Here it was looking too much expensive as we did not got anything worth in return except a degree. For teaching Master students.lecturer has to be PHD qualified.but college never cared to call experienced professional except few who had good industry experienced. nither there was a single permanent master lecturer in college. No dedicated class room.everyday it changes. Every day only few hour classes.no proper structured.one in early morning.& second in late afternoon.Now you may guess.

How does ignou issue degree mark sheets.

IGNOU does not provide semester or year-end grade reports. It will provide you with a consolidated mark sheet at the end of your program. However, if you want a mark sheet halfway through, you must apply it separately. You will be charged a nominal fee and will receive IGNOU marksheet for all of the papers you have already examined, as well as the results.

The university gives you the option of coming to the convocation ceremony to get your degree certificate or sending an Rs. 200 demand draft as they post the degree.

What is IGNOU B.com A&F degree for CA students? What are the advantages and disadvantages of doing it?

Can I apply for two programs in IGNOU simultaneously?

According to the UGC, no universities have been approved to allow students to pursue dual degrees or master's degrees at the same time. Even if you register for one degree at IGNOU and another at another distant or regular university, it will not be valid because UGC does not endorse that. You cannot display both certificates at the same time.

As a result, it is always preferable to complete a B.Com before pursuing an MBA. B.Com in addition to BBA is a challenge. After completing your B.Com, you can enroll in IGNOU's MBA program.

Is an MCA from IGNOU good for my prospects?

IGNOU degree is accredited by the Indian government and is recognized as equivalent to a graduate degree in engineering in the United States. The only difference is that distance learning requires you to fight more, both during your studies and in the job market. However, one should not overthink, hard work pays off.

Maintain your fundamentals, learn and master the latest technology, and prepare yourself to be versatile and competitive.

Your priority should be to find a job in your field of study, rather than a high-paying job. When you're in the field, your experience counts, and your degree usually takes a back seat.

How many subjects do we have to choose in BA for IGNOU?

A student should take no more than 96 credits in BA (applicable for every subject).

To obtain a major in any subject, a student must have a total of 48 credits in that subject, which equates to 6 papers of 8 credits taken over three years. (2 papers per year)

The remaining 48 credits are divided as follows:

In the first and second years, compulsory papers BSHF 101 and FST 01, each worth 8 credits.

Students in their second year are required to take one elective course in addition to the compulsory course and the subject in which they are majoring.

Applied Courses are for third-year students, and they can be taken for 8 or 16 credits.

Students may take any subject from Group 1 to Group A1 in addition to Group A1.

As a result, the number of subjects taken each year is determined by the number of credits a student takes. If a 4-credit subject is chosen, the student should take two 4-credit papers for a total of 8 credits, increasing the number of papers.

Are master's degrees from IGNOU acceptable for admission into Ph.D. courses in top universities?

It is not only accepted, but it also falls into the H+ category. The H + classification simply indicates that the degrees earned at this institution are transferable to the university sector. It has nothing to do with a preliminary decision on whether this institution's qualifications can be equated with German higher education qualifications. It should be noted that no equivalence determination or evaluation of higher education institutions in Anabin occurs on the Status down.

Contrary to popular belief, the question of whether a foreign institution corresponds to a German university or a German university of applied sciences is not answered. In the field of higher education, equivalence definitions and assessments are conducted solely in terms of final types and degrees.

How good is IGNOU for MA courses?

It is guaranteed that the study material provided by IGNOU is excellent. You'll have a great time going through them. It will undoubtedly provide you with a thorough understanding of the subject. However, it is not without difficulty. You get to work hard. If you want to study Economics via distance education, IGNOU is your best bet.

However, pursuing it at a regular university in a face-to-face mode may be preferable because teachers can assist you with your difficulties. However, if you are already employed, MA in Economics from IGNOU is an excellent choice.

How is the English MA course in IGNOU University?

It is extremely convenient to pursue an M.A. in English through IGNOU. The only problem is that the course materials are delivered very late. Because the materials remain the same year after year, they can be obtained from anyone who has already completed the course or from used bookstores. To be honest, the material isn't much help. You have five years to complete your course, which consists of eight credits, four in the first year and four in the second. It is mandatory to submit the assignment for the paper you wish to sit for during the exams, which are held twice a year. It is entirely up to you whether to take all exams at once or spread them out over all ten semesters. In short, if you are determined, you can complete your master's degree in two years by taking two papers each semester. Contact classes are scheduled; if possible, attend them as they will get you started on your preparation and keep you motivated.

Doing some research for your assignment and attempting to keep your answer original rather than copying from the guide will increase your chances of getting good grades on the assignments. If you fail a paper in the semester exam, you have the option of retaking it in subsequent semesters until you achieve a passing mark.

So, get the reference books, analyze the question pattern, turn in your assignment, and begin studying for the exam.

What is the scope of doing Post Graduation Diploma in Applied Statistics from IGNOU?

PGDAST is concerned with applied statistics. As a result, it requires fewer proofs. There are more theorems, formulas, and methods to employ. While a Masters's program contains numerous proofs as well as an applied component. However, PGDAST will undoubtedly improve your statistical knowledge. Furthermore, statistics have numerous applications in computer science and big data/data research. As a result, it will undoubtedly improve your career prospects. This is especially true given the scarcity of computer engineers who are also statisticians. And statisticians are in high demand in information technology firms. So you have an advantage over others.

It does not entitle you to study higher mathematics or statistics at any Indian university or IIT. Because PGDAST is only a one-year program, as opposed to MSC, which is a two-year program. PGDAST can also be completed by graduates from any discipline. While a Master's in Statistics requires a minimum three-year Bsc degree in Math/statistics. The PGDAST program is a diploma program.

You should go for it if you want to learn statistics. It will undoubtedly be a rewarding experience. One year of effort is not excessive. You must be consistent. To be eligible to sit for term-end exams, you must complete assignments. Even if you do not consider the benefits of computer science, it will almost certainly foster a new way of thinking.

How long does the IGNOU take to send a mark sheet and certificate?

According to the Ordinance, Rules, and Regulations, results should be announced within 45 days of the examination date. The Grade Card can be downloaded from the IGNOU website for any purpose. If you require an original Grade Card for the semesters you have completed, you must contact the Registrar's Student Evaluation Division.

However, once you complete your program, you will automatically receive your grade card and provisional certificate. Only after convocation will you receive your original degree certificate. Convocation is usually held in April of the following year, following the date of the exam that you took.

I have done B.sc (Microbiology). I have applied in MSc Zoology course in ignou. discrepancy shows that ” ELIGIBILITY The candidate should have passed the B.Sc (Hons)/B.Sc (Major) in Zoology or B.Sc (General/CBCS) with Zoology as one of the subjects The reservation policy of GOI will be applicable.” But I have done zoology in my First year of B.Sc.
