A proctored final exam is taken at the end of the semester. The final exam is taken on the same set date/time by all participants approximately 16 weeks from the start of the course. The final exam is administered remotely via ProctorU, a secure, online proctoring service .

Nurses with active licenses who do not want to participate in the clinical component can opt to complete only the theory component of the course.
Is there a prescribed schedule for the 80 clinical hours?

No. Although, the didactic component of the course provides updates in many specialty areas including maternal/child, mental health, oncology, gerontology, etc., the program’s clinical component be completed in an adult medical-surgical unit in an acute care hospital.
Is it possible to repeat the clinical component if I am not successful the first time?
Unsuccessful completion of the clinical component will result in student failure of the RN Refresher Course. If you wish to repeat the course, a new registration form must be completed and accompanied by the required fee.
Would a person who graduated from a nursing program but has not yet taken or has failed the NCLEX exam be eligible for the course?
No. The course is designed for nurses who previously held active RN licenses but have been inactive for a specified period of time. Someone who is preparing to take or retake the NCLEX exam should seek a review course specifically developed for that purpose.

California School of Health Sciences seeks to promote goodwill by using explicitly stated fair and equitable cancellation and refund practices pertaining to cancellations, withdrawals, and termination.
REJECTION OF APPLICANT:
Students not accepted by the school, or prospective international students whose visa applications have been rejected are entitled to a 100 percent refund of the amount paid for institutional charges (except the non-refundable registration fees).
PROGRAM CANCELLATION:
If the school cancels a program subsequent to a student’s enrollment, the institution will refund all monies paid by the student.
CANCELLATION BEFORE THE START OF CLASS OR NO SHOW:
All refunds due will be made within forty-five (45) calendar days of the first scheduled day of class or the date of cancellation, whichever is earlier. You are entitled to a 100 percent refund of the amount paid for institutional charges (except the non-refundable registration fees).
We are Avocational training, not a college or university, and our tuition does not qualify for the educational credits. We do not participate with the United States Department of Education’s federal student financial aid and loans. Therefore, our tuition is not deemed qualified tuition for federal income tax purposes and therefore, we cannot issue 1098Ts.
NOTIFICATION OF CANCELATION/WITHDRAWAL:
Students may notify CSHS verbally or via email or written request. ALL PERIODS OF FINANCIAL OBLIGATION OR ENROLLMENT PERIODS:
For students who have completed more than 60 percent of the enrollment period will not be legible for a refund. For students who have completed 60 percent or less of the enrollment period, the institution will provide a pro-rata refund.
The institution will retain the registration fee plus a percentage of tuition and fees, which is based on the percentage of the clock hours or weeks (based on the program) attended and the recorded student’s last date of attendance (LDA), as the examples described in the table below. LDA for IDL courses will be determined by checking the activity logs to find out when a student last interacted with your course materials.
The institution will pay or credit refunds within 45 days of a student’s documented date of
determination (DOD). If a student provides advanced notice of withdrawal such that the 45-day window for refund processing ends before the last date of attendance, the refund must be paid within forty-five (45) calendar days from the last date of attendance.

- Provide education about the LPN scope of practice to registered nursing students who wish to license as a practical nurse based on their RN education program and become licensed by exception as LPNs.
The content of the NRP is owned by Idaho Alliance of Leaders in Nursing (IALN, d/b/a Idaho Center for Nursing) and managed by Nurse Leaders of Idaho (NLI). The NLI Education Committee and a faculty consultant nurse educator provide guidance and direction to the NRP.
