in my opinion , it was the best movie i ever saw.I am not a dc fanboy or something like that.i didn't watch many dc crap movies.the last great movie of dc was the dark knight rises.Joker was a psychological thriller chef-d'oeuvre.I Hope todd philipps continue to make movies like this and i hope it wins some academy awards though it's not needed ...
How come barely anyone talks about Joker (2019) anymore?
Unfortunately, the Joker movie is too self-serious and on-the-nose. Unlike The Dark Knight or Taxi Driver, it doesn't really provide any answers or critiques to its main character. Joker was able to start a conversation about mental health stuff, but the movie itself doesn't really bring anything to the table.

The MCU does that actually pretty well with Iron Man and Captain America. Heath Ledger and Nolan's take was pretty spot on as the Joker, and every actor before or Cameron Monaghan has too. Without Nolan though, Ledger would have suffered like Pheonix who was phenomenal in a mediocre movie.

This movie as of now has peaked and seems to be peaking even further, but I think it will drop over time. I'll wait and see. Edit: the average all critic score is now 9.26/10 for 30 critics, with a 87% percentage. the top critic score is 8.33/10 (risen from 7.5/10) and the percentage has risen from 57% to 60% (6/10).

Unfortunately, the Joker movie is too self-serious and on-the-nose. Unlike The Dark Knight or Taxi Driver, it doesn't really provide any answers or critiques to its main character. Joker was able to start a conversation about mental health stuff, but the movie itself doesn't really bring anything to the table.
