About the Role

Primary responsibility of the Senior Project Manager is the delivery of projects and programmes of work, varying in size and complexity.  The projects will stem from the IT Enabling Plan which, in turn, supports the Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) Strategy 2030. The Senior Project Manager reports to the Programme Manager within the Change Delivery team of IT Services department.

The role of Senior Project Manager will encompass all the duties you would expect, from planning, procurement, delivery, risk and issue management, budget management, adhering to our project governance regime, working with internal and external parties, regular reporting through to closure, and transition to business as usual.

You are already an experienced IT/digital project manager or a senior project manager looking for new challenges and an opportunity to work in a busy IT department at a world-renowned University.  As well as a degree, you will possess current accreditation in a recognised Project Management standard e.g., PRINCE 2, Agile Scrum.  To succeed, you will also need to be an excellent communicator in all formats and experienced in building great relationships with all levels of stakeholders.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our friendly team to deliver Reactive and Life Cycle Projects in line with client requirements or agreed programs and lead and manage the individual CBU (cost build up) process, supply chain and associated consultants.

This role is primarily home based but will include site visits to our school PFI contracts in Tower Hamlets. This is a FTC covering 12 months maternity leave, full time working 40 hours per week although there is a requirement to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business.

As this is a regional role covering multiple sites, the successful candidate would ideally need to be located within the London area.  A company car is provided with this role. 

The ideal candidate has to have a strong Mechanical and Electrical background as this is key to understanding and delivering the lifecycle programme.

 Responsibilities

  • Proactively develop and maintain effective working relationships, ensuring client /customer needs are understood, such that it enhances the company’s reputation byfostering an environment of continuous improvement to maximize our customers’ satisfaction.
  • Track the forecast and priority of works and the team capacity in order to meet business critical requirements
  •  Establish and coordinate the supply chain so that they work together effectively, maximizing their skills and contribution to meet objectives and project deadlines
  • Refine and participate on project management, CDM, H&S processes and governance as steered by G4SFM and key internal Stakeholders
  • Prepare and distribute all necessary reports and documentation in a timely and professional manner to relevant stakeholders to enable monitoring, control and communication
  • Establish and maintain mutually trusting relationships with key client stakeholders
  • Engage with the Lifecycle Team early in specification stage to help them refine requirements and to enable better project preparation.
  • Support and develop the creation of the annual and five yearly Lifecycle Plans.
  • Actively develop strong working relationships within Peer relationship network to ensuresuccessful delivery of the annual Lifecycle plan and additional works program.
  • Plan, co-ordinate and manage Major Project Works requested by various key stakeholders.
  • Receive the initial brief and where necessary produce fully developed tenderinginstructions, to the client’s confirmed requirements. Carry out Tender process from Enquiry through Management to Tender Analysis and Sub-Trader Appointment Recommendation.
  • Identify, select and recommend tendering Sub-Traders from initial enquiry through to appointment, tendering / procurement documentation and subsequent works installation including monitoring for quality and performance of all supply chain appointments
  • Review instructions against client expectations and where necessary assist or develop suitable

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Project Management with relevant role experience.
  • CDM experience
  • Understanding of model contract forms: JCT, NEC, GC Works etc.
  • Budget management experience and commercial awareness.
  • Experience of managing Client facing Project Works services across a diverse multi-site TFM portfolio.
  • IOSH Certification.
  • Experience of leading in H&S and welfare for own project works and those of others
  • Cost management and control, and quality monitoring
  • NEBOSH Certification
  • Ability to combine project, business and relationship management skills in order to facilitate stakeholder groups.
  • Experience of developing proposals, contracts, works variation and final accounts.
  • Experience of site works monitoring with installation inspections & measurement.
  • Well-developed communication, influencing and motivational skills

Work closely with Culture Marketing Manager to deliver authentic online and offline artist integration throughout the campaign Coordinate artist touch points with internal Red Bull teams – Communications, Content, Programming, Brand, and Field – to deliver a comprehensive campaign Collaboration with external operational teams and talent management teams to provide artists with best experience possible

INEOS Energy operates a number of fields in the North Sea in both Denmark and the UK. In the UK this includes Breagh, Clipper South and the recently awarded Greater Pegasus Area licenses.   

About the Job   

To develop the Pegasus Area licenses we are looking for a Project Manager to take the Pegasus West project through the Select, Define and Execute project phases.   

Reporting to the Head of Projects and Engineering UK, the Pegasus West Project manager will optimise value to INEOS Energy (INEOS) effectively delivering the project on time and on budget in line with industry and company standards with excellent safety performance and zero harmful impact on the environment.  

Key responsibilities  

SHEQ   

  • Be a leader and advocate for INEOS safety principles and behaviors.  
  • Work closely with the SHEQ Manager to establish project specific safety and quality plans with rigorous application of company and industry standards throughout each project phase.  
  • Ensure safety management systems are in place and functioning to ensure safe execution of Project and Engineering deliverables, including subsequent operation of the asset.  

Project   

  • Lead the multidisciplinary project team comprising subsurface, drilling, SHEQ, engineering, project services, contracts and procurement personnel.  
  • Communicate expectations and accountabilities clearly within the project team  
  • Ensure that regular effective project meetings are held with key stakeholders, contractors and in-house project teams.  
  • Lead delivery of a platform or subsea development including host tie-is and brownfield scopes to completion.  
  • Lead the project through Select ensuring that the key project decisions are made according to project drivers. Take the selected development concept into follow-on engineering phase in preparation for the Define phase ensuring the correct level of engineering definition is in place.  
  • Develop the project execution plan and contracting strategy with support from the contracts and procurement team and others.  
  • Ensure project systems and processes are in place to promote safe and efficient project delivery with timely commissioning and handover to the operations teams, including all necessary documentation from the project.  
  • Ensure appropriate project control, planning and progress reporting are in place, compliant with INEOS Group Guidance and industry practices.  
  • Provide reporting and updates to the wider organization, senior management, partners and regulatory stakeholders as necessary.  
  • Actively Manage project risk and opportunity

  • Experience of platform, pipelines, wells delivery in the North Sea   
  • Experience of the UKCS regulatory regime  
  • Experience of leading larger teams  
  • Greenfield and brownfield experience  
  • Track record of capital project management of projects >250m$  

  Education  

  • Degree level engineering qualification, and   
  • Chartered discipline engineer or Chartered Project Professional (ChPP) or    

  Location   

  • The role will be based in INEOS Energy UK’s offices in London  
  • Frequent travel to contractors and fabricators offices is envisaged

  • Three years of project management experience delivering projects.
  • Knowledge of various project management methodologies e.g. Waterfall, Agile/Scrum.

  • Masters in Business administration.
  • Project Management certification is a plus.
  • 5+ years of Technical Program Management/ Engineering Management experience. Experience working with operations teams, vendors and contractors.
  • Demonstrated ability to build project summaries, roadmaps, creative concepts, impact analysis and prioritization in order to influence stakeholders.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of key architecture components of distributed computing systems, software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, development, testing and deployment.
  • Depth of technical understanding in cloud, big-data platforms and machine learning.
  • Proficient in Keynote or Powerpoint to effectively interact, influence and communicate at various levels of the organization.
