By using the word 'nocturne' I wished to indicate an artistic interest alone, divesting the picture of any outside anecdotal interest which might have been otherwise attached to it. A nocturne is an arrangement of line, form and colour first - attributed to Whistler in Dorment and MacDonald, p.122

Recomendable.
Fujiko Rose is a UK-based fine and decorative artist who works predominantly in ink, using both traditional and modern techniques to create intricate drawings that combine realism and abstraction. Her interests in history, literature, film, architecture, and fashion motivated her to pursue a career in the arts at a young age. After exploring the world of design by selling hand-printed wallpapers and fabrics, she won the televised competition Landscape Artist of the Year , which gave her the visibility she needed to kick-start her career.
While mainly selling original artwork and prints, she has participated in a number of exhibitions like The Other Art Fair and joined JC Gallery Mayfair, where she hosted her first solo show. She has also collaborated with COS at Coal Drops Yard, RIBA, and Adidas London x Creative Debuts.

b. 1997, England "I like to say that my work is celebratory. An example of how I work is that I might visit a place and something about it will grip me. Then, when I eventually go about drawing it, I’ll consider the intention of the place as well as the experience of being there. From there, it’s a mix of serious overthinking and being playful; designing compositions, layering techniques, and having fun with different styles and themes."
