Explore my university through by my review

  • I really liked the environment of the college. This is India's no. 1 is research university
  • Campus life is very good and different students from different states of India come here to study, there are different types of interactions with them and one gets to learn.
  • I don't find the politics in this to be anything special, there is discrimination here.
  • Here there is discrimination among students and teachers talk in two pieces.

For this course, you must have graduation in any subject from any university. You must have Maths subject in 12th and or you must have computer related subjects in graduation like BASA. To enroll in this university, you will have to give CAT exam, after that you will have to fill the Janu form, then the cut off will be declared and accordingly you will be selected. Here, devolution points are available according to your district, which work like a reservation.

JNU- Campus of dreams

  • Faculty teaching methods and their supportive nature for the students from different parts of country which is very impressive.
  • Diverse community of students from different beliefs and cultural backgrounds.
  • Campus is very big and all buildings are far from one another.
  • Mess food is average but menu is very attractive.

Min 50% marks in 12th class is mandatory. Form is available at nta website it's name is cuet ug. Reservation to all the standard categories like sc , St , obc , EWS and physically disabled candidates , and special bonus points to girls and bonus quartile marks to students from tier 2 and tier 3 cities. Fast process of admission if possible and early if in first week of may.

JNU Life and Campus

  • Great environment with easy access of everything.
  • Nature friendly behavior or all the people.
  • People throw garbage here and there sometimes.
  • A little unconstructed infrastructure in campus.

The entrance exam for JNU is conducted by NTA. The cutoff for the admission depends on the particulat courseband demand and reservation quota as well. Syllabus is all about general knowledge, currents affairs and politics.

The life in JNU

  • The education system and the teacher student bond is really good. They are always ready to help and those who are learning the language much need that.
  • The environment of the university is really fascinating. Everyone is really helpful in the campus and people feel safe really safe there at night as well.

The eligibility depends on the course and if a person study properly for the entrance the chances are very much to get admission here. The admission process is quite good you get proper help in every step.

Jawaharlal Nehru university : At a glance.

  • The batch size is small and hence provide better co-operation with professors.
  • Hostels are eaisly available for engineering students as compared to another students.
  • As of now there is no any dedicated infrastructure for school of engineering. According to reports the new buikding is going to built by 2027 beside the AICTE.
  • The hostels infrastructure are very old. But for engineering students new hostels will be built along with schools Infrastructure.

The admission process is just like any other national Institute of india. The admission process is done by NTA based on jee mains score. one have to give jee mains and then take part in counselling orgainsed by NTA to take admission in JNU. The cutoff for general student is 97.5 precentile, while the OBCs cutoff is around 95 precentile and for sc/STs studnets the cutoff is around 85-87 precentile.

Life at JNU

  • Political environment is very enlightening and helps students shape opinions and develop a deeper understanding of the society.
  • Academic excellence- A lot many professors are graduates from world class universities including MIT and Havard. Hence they try to maintain their standard of teaching similar to those institutions.
  • The world here in too utopian. This place doesn't feel like the real world.
  • The professors are not very understanding if you are going into corporate or preparing for some civil service exam. They would rather have you do a PhD

Admissions are done via CUET UG and PG for graduation and post graduation. The cutoffs are quite high but someone with a basic understanding of the course will be able to crack it. There are deprivation points given to female students and people belonging to backward castes and rural background. Admissions to PhD are done via UGC NET. People who hold a JRF have the opportunity to sit directly for the interview in some of the centres.

JNU Japanese Centre

  • Great faculty, amazing Japanese scope. Scholarships given by JNU are top notch, including the prestigious MEXT scholarship
  • You are here to become employable and the good teachers will help you get there.
  • Extremely competitive environment, gets toxic at times.
  • Right wing political influence decides who gets appointed as teacher. ABVP hooliganism is rampant at times.

Very difficult but only because I was in P2 category. Cutoffs soar, Japanese is hard to get. JNU provides deprivation points, only institution to give those. If you study for 1-2 months it's very possible to get in, provided you really want to do it. JNUEE is no longer administered, now you have CUET UG, so only General Test and English, no Japan relevant test.

  • This college campus has lot of trees and greeneries
  • Teacher of this college campus is very high qualified and their method of their teaching is excellent
  • People who talk shit about the politics inside the campus the campus
  • A number of people who trying to spread violence between students

If I talk about eligibility student must have passed 12th and know basic English and math and If u want to find the application form and details about u can visit on college website jnu.ac.in. admission process is offline so u have to come offline with your documents

Abhishek yadav

The unexplored side of JNU

  • I love the culture of awarness programs and talks on various issues
  • The campus, its full of trees and nature
  • The people spreading fake news about JNU
  • The increasing number of gender gap with each new batches coming in the campus, earlier it use to be 51% girls which is now reduced to 40%

It required getting more then the cut off in the cuet examination. We can get it from the nta official website. The students is required to opt for general test as well english and score a decent marks... To be precise more than 85 or 86 to get into Japanese center

What are some tips for cracking a JNU PhD interview?

Sayantani Barman

JNU conducts an entrance test and an interview for admission of its PhD candidates. Usually, the written test carries 70% weightage, while 30% weightage is given to the interview. Most of the questions asked in the JNU PhD interview are about the research field the candidate plans to join. Below are the top 3 tips to crack the JNU PhD interview:

  • Research your chosen PhD program: Since most of the questions asked at the JNU PhD interview are about your research proposal, make sure that you familiarize yourself with the topic. Be prepared for questions like 'Why this topic?' Or 'How do you plan to research the chosen topic?' You must also be updated with the recent trends and developments in your research topic and conduct mock interviews with friends or colleagues.
  • Stay confident: Being confident during your JNU PhD interview has a great impact on your selection. Be confident throughout the interview session and make sure that you show your commitment to pursue the course.?
  • Communicate effectively : When answering your interviewers' questions, ensure that you're clear with what you want to say. Do not hesitate or mix up things, but be clear and maintain good body language.

Are JNU admissions tough?

Sabeer Chalana

JNU admissions are quite competitive due to its high reputation in India and across the world. Students from Delhi and outside of Delhi compete for admission to various JNU courses. The university accepts CUET for admission to its undergraduate and postgraduate programs. When the CUET results are declared, JNU releases its cutoff scores and merit list accordingly.

Candidates who have a CUET score that is at least equal to the cutoff scores will be called for the counseling session and will be allotted seats in their preferred institutions. Since a large number of applicants apply for JNU admissions , candidates must aim for a high percentile and a high CUET score. Good marks can ensure admission to JNU if not any other parameter.
