Oxford's graduate law programme is unique. The BCL and MJur (for students from a civil law background) are the only graduate law degrees in the world which are taught through tutorials as well as seminars and lectures. Oxford's graduate law students have closer contact with their teachers than on any LLM. Oxford is renowned for the size, strength, and diversity of its community of legal scholars who are drawn from around the world, and our students benefit enormously from the many opportunities they are given to discuss their work with leading academics in the field. Taught Programmes: The Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL) - For practitioners and academics alike, Oxford's Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL) degree is the most highly regarded taught masters-level qualification in the common law world. The Oxford Magister Juris (MJur) - This course is designed for outstanding law students from non-common law backgrounds. It is a counterpart to the BCL and shares all its courses. The BCL and MJur are full-time programmes running from late-September to mid-July. For more information please see the BCL and MJur Ebrochure . The Masters in Law and Finance (MSc) is taught with the Saïd Business School, and offers outstanding students with a legal background the opportunity to integrate the study of finance with advanced legal study. For more information please see the MLF Ebrochure . The Master of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice (MSc) is a specialist one-year programme run by Oxford's Centre for Criminology. The MSc is also open to those with a degree in a relevant discipline other than law. Please visit our website for more information on the MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice . The Master of Philosophy in Criminology (MPhil) is a one-year degree available only to those proceeding from the Oxford MSc in Criminology. You can find more information about the MPhil in Criminology on our website. The Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law and Practice is a one-year part-time masters-level course for people embarking on a career in IP law and practice. For more information on this course please see the Diploma in Intellectual Property Law and Practice pages on our website. The Master of Studies in International Human Rights Law is a part-time graduate degree studied over 22 months, offered by Oxford University's Department for Continuing Education. You can find more information about this course by visiting the International Human Rights Law webpage . Research Programmes: Oxford has the largest graduate research programme in Law in the English-speaking world, with a vibrant community of about 200 research students engaged in master's and doctoral research across a wide range of legal and interdisciplinary specialisms corresponding to the diverse interests of faculty members. Research students play a central role in the intellectual life of the Faculty, collaborating in numerous discussion groups and seminars. The Master of Studies in Legal Research (MSt) - an entry-level one-year research degree that can also serve as the first year of a DPhil. The Master of Philosophy in Law (MPhil) - a one-year research degree that can also serve as the first year of a DPhil, available only to those proceeding from the Oxford BCL or MJur taught postgraduate programmes. The Master of Letters (MLitt) - an intermediate-level two-year research degree. The Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) - a major research degree requiring three to four years of study and setting the highest standards of academic achievement. You can find more information about our Postgraduate Research Degrees on the Faculty's website .

Oxford's Faculty of Law is the largest law school in the United Kingdom. In 2020  it was ranked as the world's second best law by the QS worldwide league table. The British government's 2008 Research Assessment Exercise showed that substantially more top-rated research activity went on in Law at Oxford from 2001-2007, than in any other university in the UK. The Faculty's facilities include the modern, purpose-built Bodleian Law Library which holds more than 450,000 law related items, more than any other comparable library in the UK. The library is conveniently located in the same building as the Law Faculty, the St Cross Building. Colleges also have collections of law books. There are also extensive academic computing facilities and dedicated staff to provide training and support.

DPhil in Law - 36 months

Wellington square, oxford, gb, oxford, united kingdom, # 2 qs subject rankings, 36 months program duration, 66,150 gbp tuition fee/year, law and legal studies main subject area, program overview, main subject.

Law and Legal Studies

Study Level

The Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) includes writing a thesis of between 75,000 and 100,000 words over a period of three, or at most four years (six to eight years for part-time students). The thesis must make a significant and substantial contribution to its field. All students will be admitted to Probationer Research Student (PRS) status in the first instance, and all students except those who have previously completed the MPhil in Law will undertake a course in legal research methods during the first year as a full-time student or in the first two years as a part-time student. This provides training in legal research methodology, but it will also expose students to the diversity of and intellectual challenges involved in legal scholarship and serves as a forum of peers in which they can discuss the methodological challenges involved in their own research.

Oxford offers 48 undergraduate degrees in a wide range of disciplines, from the traditional sciences through to humanities, law, languages, and fine art. Students can also study joint honors programs such as Philosophy and Theology, and Archaeology and Anthropology.

Undergraduate degrees are usually three years in length and are taught inside the individual college to which students apply. Undergraduate study at Oxford is centered on the weekly tutorial, which is supported by classes, lectures, and laboratory work carried out in university faculties and departments.

The admissions rate for Oxford is 21 percent, which seems high in comparison to Ivy League universities but is a reflection of the English system. The application period runs during the autumn for the following academic year. Applicants register to take a test, and prospective students might have to send in written work alongside the standard completed UCAS form. Shortlisted candidates are then invited to interview, and will know whether they have been successful by the end of the calendar year.

Unlike the University of Cambridge, Oxford does not operate a pooling system for candidates invited to interview. Instead, it’s common for applicants to be asked to stay multiple days in the city (accommodation is provided) and, if there are no places available at their first-choice college, they may also be invited for interviews at other colleges which have less competition for places.

Around 17 percent of applicants are international citizens, and there are no quotas for international students (with the exception of the medicine program). The application process is broadly the same for international students, with Oxford accepting school-leaving qualifications from many different countries. There are, however, additional elements to the application such as English language requirements.

Tuition fees are currently set at the annual UK maximum of £9,250, with loans available from the UK government for the full amount. Loans are also available to cover living costs during the full three years of study. Students from outside the EU are charged a significantly higher tuition fee, of up to £24,000 a year, and an additional £7,570 a year college fee. This does not include accommodation or board.

Terms at Oxford are actually shorter than at other UK higher education institutions, and their total duration amounts to less than half of the year. However, undergraduates are also expected to do some academic work during the three holidays, known as the Christmas, Easter, and Long Vacations.

Oxford has a reputation for world-leading research, teaching and resources, all within the confines of a uniquely beautiful city. Graduate programs at Oxford are shorter than in many countries, typically lasting only one year for a master’s degree, something which is designed to facilitate swift career progression.

Students belong to an academic department or faculty that provides teaching, supervision and numerous resources to support studies and are assigned an academic supervisor who provides guidance and advice throughout the program. There are taught programs that usually lead towards a master’s qualification, where students study a range of core and optional courses, supported by lectures and seminars. Research degrees at the master's and doctoral level are conferred in all subjects studied at graduate level at the university.

There were over 20,000 graduate applications last year, so getting your application right is absolutely crucial. Candidates must choose their subject carefully and check to see if they have the correct qualifications before submitting an application.

To apply, applicants must complete Oxford’s graduate application form, pay a £75 application fee and upload the following supporting documents: a statement of purpose and research proposal (if applicable), an official transcript of a bachelor’s degree, academic references, and in many cases a portfolio and written work.

International students whose first language is not English will also need to submit an English language test score certificate to prove either standard or higher (depending on the course) level of English proficiency.

The cost of studying at Oxford as a graduate varies depending on the program. In the humanities, this could range from £4,260 (US$5,962) a year for a three-year DPhil (PhD) in music, to £16,230 (US$22,714) for an MSc in Contemporary Chinese Studies.

Most graduate courses fall within this range of costs. There are a few exceptions however, with the most expensive programs, including business administration, costing up to £77,390 (US$108,307). Likely living costs can be anything up to a further £18,655 (US$26,108) a year on top of the course fees.

Financial aid for graduate students is diffuse in its nature. Some colleges offer their own scholarships, and there are a number of external scholarships available, where organizations offer anything from £1,000 (US$1,400) to the entire cost of tuition.

For British students, the UK government offers a loans scheme for master’s courses, and there are hundreds of charities that make awards to current and prospective graduate students.

The Doctor of Philosophy (DPhil) is the most prestigious of the Law Faculty's research degrees. It entails writing a thesis over a period of three, or at most four years (six to eight years for part-time students).

All students will be admitted to Probationer Research Student (PRS) status in the first instance, and all students except those who have previously completed the faculty's MPhil in Law programme will undertake a course in legal research methods during the first year as a full-time student or in the first two years as a part-time student. This provides training in legal research methodology, but it will also expose you to the diversity of and intellectual challenges involved in legal scholarship and serves as a forum of peers in which you can discuss the methodological challenges involved in your own research. The course comprises seven compulsory two-hour seminars during Michaelmas term while in Hilary term, students must attend eight hours of seminars from a wider range of options, including seminars offered by other social sciences departments and the faculty’s Centres for Criminology and Socio-Legal Studies. Students must also attend the course conference at the start of Trinity term.

The Faculty can provide supervision for a wide range of different topics and a list of completed doctorates gives a general sense of the breadth and depth of the research undertaken by its students.

A typical week for a student during their first two terms will involve attendance at a legal research training methodology class and perhaps participating in a discussion group (of which there are over 30) or auditing a BCL seminar that relates to their own research topic; apart from which they will be spending their time engaged in their own research. You will also meet with supervisors to discuss your work as explained in the supervision section below. After the third term (providing you transfer to full DPhil status) you may undertake fieldwork and research trips, depending on the nature of your research topics, and there may be opportunities to undertake paid research assistance or to teach undergraduate students.

If you are a part-time student, you will be required to be physically present in Oxford for a minimum of 30 days per year, normally coinciding with the full terms of the academic year, to be arranged with the agreement of your supervisor. You should expect to meet with your supervisor (either in person or, where available, online) up to nine times throughout the academic year, and in the first two terms, you will be required to undertake the legal research training methodology course (either in person or, where available, online).

Master of philosophy - mphil, full-time, 12 months starts oct 2024.

The MPhil in Law is a one-year research master’s degree during which you will write a dissertation. The course can either serve as a qualification in its own right or a route into the DPhil in Law.

Prior to 2018-19, the MPhil was exclusively for students who had completed the BCL, Magister Juris, or MSc in Law and Finance and students who had not first completed these degrees were instead admitted to the MSt in Legal Research. From 2018-19, the restrictions on MPhil admission were removed, so all suitably qualified graduates were eligible for admission, and the MSt was absorbed into the MPhil.

Students undertake the faculty’s course in legal research methods during their first two terms. This provides training in legal research methodology, but will also expose you to the diversity of intellectual challenges involved in legal scholarship and will serve as a forum of peers in which you will be able to discuss the methodological challenges involved in your own research. Students must also attend the course conference at the start of Trinity term. For the most part, however, students will be spending their time undertaking self-directed study, though with the help of their supervisors.

Throughout the period of your studies, you will work with an assigned supervisor who will meet regularly with you to discuss your work and provide feedback and advice. You will also be able have the opportunity to take part in a range of seminar programmes and discussion groups, affording plentiful opportunities for interaction with your peers and academics working in the same or related research areas to yours.

Degree routes

We offer a wide range of postgraduate degrees, ranging from LLM by Research, PhD, PhD by Publication.

The degree for which you register will depend on your academic qualifications and research experience.

There are two routes toward obtaining a PhD.

MPhil/PhD route

By far the most popular and common is the MPhil/PhD route. All students enrol as probationer research students. This entails students initially registering for the degree of MPhil/PhD, before transferring to full PhD status, should sufficient progress have been made with their work. Transfer to full PhD status normally happens after 18 months for full time students and after roughly 24-26 months for part time students.

Thesis: 80,000 - 100,000 words.

Length of study: minimum of three years full time and four years part time.

Entry requirement: the minimum entry requirement for the MPhil/PhD route is:

  • a first-class or upper second-class UK honours degree
  • a relevant master’s qualification
  • or an equivalent qualification.

Applications from those holding qualifications other than the above will be considered on their merits and in relation to the nature and scope of the work proposed.

The alternative route toward obtaining a PhD is known as a PhD Direct in which the student registers directly to study for a PhD. Accordingly, the student does not need to undergo a formal transfer assessment and the minimum period of study is shorter compared to the MPhil/PhD route.

Length of study: minimum of two years full time and three years part time.

Entry requirement: This is the same as for the MPhil/PhD route, except that the student must demonstrate an exceptional level of preparedness and aptitude for PhD study, for instance in the form of an MPhil degree or an outstanding performance at Masters level in an area very closely aligned with the PhD.

PhD by Published Work

The degree of PhD on the basis of published work may be awarded to candidates whose submitted work:

  • reflects the same academic standards as those which operate for a traditional PhD based upon an approved programme of supervised research
  • forms a coherent programme of research
  • demonstrates the use of appropriate research methodology
  • and makes an original and sufficient contribution to the present state of knowledge in a particular field to the satisfaction of the examiners.

Thesis/critical appraisal: 7,500 - 15,000 words.

Length of study:  Normally 1 year.

Entry requirements: Applicants should normally have had a very clear and demonstrable association with Oxford Brookes University (e.g. as a past student or member of staff, as an associate lecturer undertaking regular teaching at Brookes, or as a research collaborator with an established member of staff). The submission for examination comprises the published work on which the application is based, together with a supporting critical appraisal of this work.

LLM by Research

These research degrees allow students to critically investigate and evaluate an approved topic and combine the equivalent of up to one semester’s taught programme (focusing on research training) with a major research project. As with other research degrees, they are examined by thesis and viva.

Thesis: 30,000 words.

Length of study: 1 year full time or 2 years part time.

Why Oxford Brookes University?

  • Research students in the Faculty will be allocated funding towards the costs associated with specific research activities during the research programme.  MPhil/PhD students receive £700, LLM by Research students receive £350.

Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky Biography

Born: May 7, 1840 Votkinsk, Russia Died: November 6, 1893 St. Petersburg, Russia Russian composer

Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky was one of the most loved of Russian composers. His music is famous for its strong emotion, and his technical skill and strict work habits helped guarantee its lasting appeal.

Early years

Born on May 7, 1840, in Votkinsk in the Vyatka district of Russia, Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky was the son of a successful engineer. Peter and his brothers and sister received a sound education from their French governess. His parents sometimes took him to concerts, and after one such evening he complained that he could not fall asleep because of the music stuck in his head. He was devoted to his mother, and at age four he and his sister composed a song for her. Her death when he was fourteen was a huge blow to him.

Tchaikovsky attended law school in St. Petersburg, Russia, and, while studying law and government, he took music lessons, including some composing, from Gabriel Lomakin. Tchaikovsky graduated at the age of nineteen and took a job as a bureau clerk. He worked hard, but he hated the job; by this time he was totally absorbed by music. He soon met the Rubinstein brothers, Anton (1829–1894) and Nikolai (1835–1881), both of whom were composers. Anton was a pianist second only to Franz Liszt (1811–1886) in technical brilliance and fame. In 1862 Anton opened Russia's first conservatory (a school that focuses on teaching the fine arts), under the sponsorship of the Imperial Russian Music Society (IRMS), in St. Petersburg. Tchaikovsky was its first composition student.

Early works

Tchaikovsky's early works were well made but not memorable. Anton Rubinstein was demanding and critical, and when Tchaikovsky graduated two years later he was still somewhat frightened by Anton's harshness. In 1866 Nikolai Rubinstein invited Tchaikovsky to Moscow, Russia, to live with him and serve as professor of composition at the Moscow Conservatory, which he had just established. Tchaikovsky's father was now in financial (money-related) trouble, and the composer had to support himself on his meager earnings from the conservatory. The musical poems Fatum and Romeo and Juliet that he wrote in 1869 were the first works to show the style he became famous for. Romeo and Juliet was redone with Mily Balakirev's (1837–1910) help in 1870 and again in 1879.

A disastrous marriage

In 1877 Tchaikovsky married the twenty-eight-year-old Antonina Miliukova, his student at the conservatory. It has been suggested that she reminded him of Tatiana, a character in his opera Eugene Onegin. His unfortunate wife, who became mentally ill and died in 1917, not only suffered rejection by her husband but also the vicious criticism of his brother Modeste Tchaikovsky. Modeste, like Peter, was a misogynist (one who hates women). Modeste attacked Antonina in a biography he wrote about Peter. This was an attempt to shield Peter and mask his weaknesses. Later biographers repeated and even exaggerated Modeste's claim that Antonina was cheap and high-strung.

Tchaikovsky never stuck around to find out what she was like. Within a few weeks he had fled Moscow alone for an extended stay abroad. He made arrangements through his relatives to never see his wife again. In his correspondence of this period—indeed through a large part of his career—he was often morbid (gloomy) about his wife, money, his friends, even his music and himself. He often spoke of suicide. This, too, has been reported widely by Tchaikovsky's many biographers. Even during his life critics treated him unkindly because of his open, emotional music. But he never sought to change his style, though he was dissatisfied at one time or another with most of his works. He also never stopped composing.

Arrangement with Madame von Meck

Tchaikovsky became involved in another important relationship at about the same time as his marriage. Through third parties an unusual but helpful arrangement with the immensely wealthy Nadezhda von Meck was made. She was attracted by his music and the possibility of supporting his creative work, and he was interested in her money and what it could provide him. For thirteen years she supported him at a base rate of six thousand rubles a year, plus whatever "bonuses" he could manage to get out of her. He was free to quit the conservatory, and he began a series of travels and stays abroad.

Von Meck and Tchaikovsky purposely never met, except for one or two accidental encounters. In their correspondence Tchaikovsky discusses his music thoughtfully; in letters to his family he complains about her cheapness. He dedicated his Fourth Symphony (1877) to her. Tchaikovsky finished Eugene Onegin in 1879. It is his only opera generally performed outside the Soviet Union. Other works of this period are the Violin Concerto (1881), the Fifth Symphony (1888), and the ballet Sleeping Beauty (1889).

Later years

Tchaikovsky's fame and his activity now extended to all of Europe and America. To rest from his public appearances he chose a country retreat in Klin near Moscow. From this he became known as the "Hermit of Klin," although he was never a hermit. In 1890 he finished the opera Queen of Spades, based on a story by the Russian poet Aleksandr Pushkin (1799–1837). Tchaikovsky was happy when, despite the criticism of "experts," the opera was well received. In late 1890 Von Meck cut him off. He had reached the point where he no longer depended on her money, but he was still upset by her rejection. Even his brother Modeste expressed surprise at his anger. Tchaikovsky had an immensely successful tour in the United States in 1891.

The Sixth Symphony was first heard in October 1893, with the composer conducting. This work, named at Modeste's suggestion Pathétique, was poorly received—very likely because of Tchaikovsky's conducting. Tchaikovsky never knew of its eventual astonishing success, for he contracted cholera (a disease of the small intestine) and died, still complaining about Von Meck, on November 6, 1893.

Postgraduate Admission FAQs (taught)

Here are some frequently asked questions about admission to study as a graduate student in the Law Faculty.

Before referring to these questions, you may wish to view the Law graduate courses page on the University website. This has links to pages for each programme which provide information about admission requirements, fees, resources, and how to apply (including application closing dates).

Am I eligible to apply for one of Oxford's postgraduate law programmes?

For law programmes, everyone with an undergraduate law degree, or equivalent, is eligible to apply; and for Criminology programmes, eligibility extends to cover those with degrees in relevant subjects as well as those with law degrees (typically this means social sciences degrees but on occasion applicants with humanities degrees have been accepted). However, entry is highly competitive. Most people ask this question meaning 'am I likely to get in?' The answer is that if you meet the standards listed in response to the next question, you will be in the running for a place. Unfortunately, that is the only advice we can give you on your prospects of admission. The only way to test the ground is to make an application.

What information is relied upon to make admissions decisions?

Academic transcripts, confidential academic recommendations, submitted examples of academic work, and the statement of study plans (for taught programmes), or research proposal (for research programmes). Information about your non-academic interests or professional experience is disregarded except to the extent that it reveals something relevant to future academic achievement.

What should I include in my statement of purpose/research proposal?

If you are applying for admission to the BCL, MJur, MSc Law and Finance or MSc/MPhil in Criminology and Criminal Justice, you should submit a 300-word 'statement of purpose,' as part of your online application. It should explain your motivation for graduate study at Oxford and give details of any relevant academic, research, or practical experience you have. If you have some idea of which BCL/MJur options you wish to take then it is useful to mention this though it won't weaken your application if you do not as yet have any preferences

Are there any special requirements for applicants whose first language isn't English?

We require an IELTS score of 7.5, with individual scores of at least 7 in each component, or a TOEFL internet-based score of 110 with minimum component scores as follows: Listening 22; reading 24; speaking 25; writing 24. If you have your results already, you should submit them with your application.•  University English language requirements ...

What if I am offered a place, conditional upon attaining the required IELTS score, but then narrowly miss attaining the score?

You will have to re-take the test. We adhere very stringently to this requirement and do not grant admission to students with scores below the required level. If you are not able to attain the required score by the end of August, then you will be deemed to have failed the conditions set.

Can I take a pre-sessional English course to compensate for an IELTS socre that is below the required level?

Whilst the University’s language centre does offer pre-sessional courses, these cannot be used as substitutes for the required IELTS or TOEFL test results.

Who makes the admissions decisions?

For the BCL and MJur, a panel of Faculty assessors chaired by the Director of Graduate Studies for taught courses reviews all the applications and makes decisions. The MSc in Law and Finance and MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice also have their own admissions panels which makes admissions decisions. In all cases, if this decision on behalf of the Faculty goes in your favour, a second phase begins in which your application is considered by the college of your choice. At college level a decision will normally be made by the law tutors in consultation with the college's Tutor for Graduates. You may not secure a place at your first choice college, but an offer from the Faculty means that you will have a college place.

Why are the colleges involved?

Oxford is a federal University and every degree candidate must be a member of a college. The colleges are academic institutions, not merely places of residence. Graduate students do not usually receive teaching through their colleges, but will still rely on the college for academic support, advice, and resources, and will be subject to its academic jurisdiction (e.g. in approving examination entries and applications for deferral).

Do I need to fill in separate forms to apply for a college place?

No, your application will be viewed directly by colleges once you have been offered a place by the Faculty. Not all colleges admit students for all programmes, so you should check that they all consider applications for the programme you are applying for.

•  More on choosing a college ...

What happens to my application if it isn't accepted by my first choice college?

If the application is considered and turned down by your first choice college, it will then be made available for all colleges to view online.  Please note that it is quite usual for applicants to be turned down by their first college; particular colleges often find themselves with many more applications than they have places available so have to pass some applicants on to other colleges. If this happens to you, there is no need to panic - we will find you a college place, even if that involves consideration by a number of colleges.

Can I turn down the offer of a college place and have my application considered by other colleges?

The only circumstance in which you can turn down a college place is if you have been awarded a scholarship by another college, or exceptionally, if you have a disability which the college which has accepted you may not be able to provide for but which another college can. If you do not accept the college place offered or if you fail to meet the conditions set by the deadlines imposed by your college and department, you will be deemed as having forfeited your place at Oxford.

Is there any process by which I can defer the offer of a place if I am unable to or do not want to start the course next October?

Our general policy is that deferrals are not permitted. Very occasionally, and in exceptional circumstances (which usually means the student has been prevented from starting the course by some sort of medical or domestic emergency) we will permit a deferral, but in such cases it is still necessary to meet all the conditions for the year in which you would have started (including financial conditions). Your deferral will need to be approved by both the Faculty and your college; if it is not approved and you decide to re-apply for the following year, you will need to provide all new application materials and there is no guarantee you will be accepted again.

Do I need to fill in separate application forms for accommodation?

The application form for entry as a graduate student allows you to indicate whether you want to be considered for college accommodation. This will start the ball rolling. However once you have been accepted by a college, you will usually need to complete further paperwork supplied by the college. There is also some University accommodation for graduate students, including those with families, for which separate application must be made.

•  University accommodation office website...

Do I need to fill in separate application forms for scholarships administered by Oxford University or by the Faculty?

The application form for entry as a graduate student allows you to indicate that you want to be considered for certain University funds and for Faculty funds, though for certain scholarships, we are in the process of introducing a new form allowing applicants to specify particular areas of interest (there will be further information made available on the scholarships webpage about this). For all other sources of funding, including College scholarships, you will normally have to make separate enquiries and applications.

Check our graduate scholarships page for possible funding sources

When can I expect to hear if I've been offered a place?

The admissions process is complex and can take some time. We have many applications to read and compare. For the BCL, MJur, and MSc Law and Finance, you can expect to hear from the Faculty around the end of March.  College decisions may take around six to eight weeks more.

Whom should I contact about progress with my application?

The process is centrally managed by the University's Graduate Admissions Office. If you need to make contact after application (e.g. if you have further information to add) it is best to use email. But please be patient. Do not contact the GAO for routine updates on progress as this will usually just slow progress down. You will be contacted as soon as there is any concrete news. Neither the GAO nor the Faculty's Director of Graduate Studies can enter into correspondence about decisions made by colleges. Enquiries should be directed to the college concerned.

Try Any Questions?  which provides information for prospective and current Oxford students, as well as general information about the University.

Or refer to the postgraduate handbooks for BCL/Mjur  and  MLF

Or contact the Law Faculty Office by email using [email protected] . Please do not telephone, as your email enquiry can be more easily routed to the appropriate Faculty Officer.
