माझ्या मामाची मुले देखील माझ्या वर्गात असल्याने आम्ही खेळा सोबत नवीन नवीन कौशल्य शिकण्याकडे विशेष भर देतो. जसे की, अभ्यासामध्ये मला अवघड जाणारा विषय मी माझ्या मामाच्या मुली कडून शिकून घेतो आणि माझ्या मामाच्या मुलीला अवघड जाणारा विषय तिला समजावून सांगतो अश्याने आम्हा दोघांचा अभ्यास होतो. सोबतच गमतीजमती देखील होतात.

उन्हाळ्याच्या सुट्ट्या मध्ये माझा नवीन उपक्रम म्हणजे रोज सकाळी लवकर उठून मामाच्या गावातूध वाहात असलेल्या नदी मध्ये जाऊन पोहायला शिकणे आणि मासे पकडणे. तसेच माझ्या मामाच्या मुलीला टाकाऊ वस्तूंपासून टिकाऊ वस्तू बनवणे फार आवडते त्यामुळे मी तिला नेहमी मदत करत असतो.

उन्हाळा सुट्टी मध्ये घरामध्ये फार गरम होत असल्याने आणि रात्रीच्या वेळी घराचा छातावर झोपतो त्यामध्ये चंद्र, ताऱ्यांचा गप्पा-गोष्टी करत कधी झोप लागते याचे भानच राहत नाही. माझ्या आजी पौराणिक कथा आणि भरलेली आहे माझ्या आजीला प्रत्येक गोष्टीवर पौराणिक कथा सांगता येतात आजी मला दर उन्हाळा सुट्टी मध्ये पौराणिक कथा सांगत असते. आतापर्यंत आजीने मला रामायण-महाभारत यातील सर्व महत्त्वपूर्ण कथा सांगितल्या आहेत. या उन्हाळा सुट्टीला आजी मला भगवद्गीता मधील काही महत्त्वपूर्ण गोष्टी सांगणार आहे.

मोठ्या शहरांमध्ये जाऊन लहानशा छोट्याशा आणि निसर्गाच्या सानिध्यात मध्ये असणाऱ्या गावांमध्ये राहण्याचा अनुभव हा शब्दांमध्ये व्यक्त करता येणार नाही एवढा आगळा वेगळा असतो. खरंच या उन्हाळा सुट्ट्यांमध्ये मला जो आनंद मिळतो तो संपूर्ण वर्षभरामध्ये कधीही मिळणार नाही एवढा मोठा असतो.

तसेच या उन्हाळा सुट्टी ची सर्वात मोठी विशेषता म्हणजे फळांचा राजा आंबा हा एवढा उन्हाळा सुट्ट्यांमध्ये च मिळतो. त्यामुळे उन्हाळा सुट्टी मला फार आवडतात कारण आंबा हा माझा आवडता फळ आहे आणि या फळाचा स्वाद मला केवळ उन्हाळी सुट्ट्यांमध्येच घेता येतो. म्हणून उन्हाळी सुट्टी मला खूप खूप आवडते!!!!

उन्हाळ्याच्या सुट्टीमध्ये सूर्य खूप तापलेला असतो त्यामुळे संपूर्ण वातावरणामध्ये उष्णताचा पारा चढलेला असतो अशा परिस्थितीमध्ये विद्यार्थ्यांना विश्रांती मिळावी, उन्हाळ्याच्या असाह्य वेदनांपासून बचावासाठी विद्यार्थ्यांना उन्हाळ्याच्या सुट्ट्या दिल्या जातात.

या उन्हाळ्याच्या सुट्ट्या मध्ये विद्यार्थ्यांचा कमकुवत विषयावर अधिक भर देऊन सराव करते तसेच उन्हाळ्याच्या सुट्टीचा त्यांना आनंद घेता येईल या हेतूने उन्हाळ्याच्या सुट्ट्या देण्यात येतात.

उन्हाळ्याच्या सुट्ट्यांमध्ये विद्यार्थ्यांना नवीन ठिकाणांना भेट देण्याची संधी मिळते, त्यांचे सामान्य ज्ञान वाढते, शालेय प्रकल्प कामासाठी वेळ मिळतो. एकूणच आपण असे म्हणू शकतो की उन्हाळ्याच्या सुट्ट्या आमच्या पूर्ण विकासासाठी अत्यंत आवश्यक आहेत.

उन्हाळी सुट्टी मराठी निबंध । Essay On Summer Holiday in Marathi

आपल्या भारत देशात मुख्यतः तीन ऋतू आहेत. ते म्हणजेच उन्हाळा, पावसाळा आणि हिवाळा पण या तीन ऋतूतील सर्व शाळकरी मुलांचा आवडता ऋतू म्हणजे उन्हाळा ऋतू कारण उन्हाळा ऋतू आला की उन्हाळ्याच्या सुट्टी चालू होतात आणि शाळा, महाविद्यालयांना सर्वांना सुट्ट्या मिळतात.

तर आज आपण ” उन्हाळी सुट्ट्या” या विषयावर निबंध बघणार आहोत.

उन्हाळी सुट्ट्या ह्या सर्वच शाळकरी मुलांसाठी स्वतःच्या आणि आजूबाजूच्या वातावरणाचा अंदाज घेण्यासाठी खूप फायदेशीर ठरतात. कारण या उन्हाळ्या मध्ये शाळेला, महाविद्यालयांना सुट्टी दिली जाते. मग अभ्यासाचे टेन्शन नाही ना कुठल्या परीक्षेचा ताण नाही त्यामुळे आमचे मानसिक स्थिती ही शांत असते.

काही मुले उन्हाळी सुट्ट्या आपल्या पद्धतीने घालवितात. पण मी या वेळेस च्या उन्हाळी सुट्ट्या या माझ्या आजी-आजोबा आणि मामा सोबत घालविणार आहे. कारण वर्षभर अभ्यास, परीक्षा यांच्या ताणामुळे मला कंटाळा आल्या सारखे वाटत आहे.

आणि उन्हाळ्याच्या सुट्ट्या हीच वेळ आम्हा विद्यार्थ्यांन साठी आराम करण्याची आहे. आणि मी दरवर्षी उन्हाळ्या सुट्ट्यांमध्ये आजी-आजोबांकडे जात असतो. म्हणून कदाचित उन्हाळा ऋतु मला खूप आवडतो. उन्हाळा ऋतु मध्ये वाढलेला भयंकर तापमान आणि त्याचबरोबर येणारी उन्हाळी सुट्टी हि मला खूप आनंद दायक वाटते.

कारण उन्हाळ्याच्या सुट्टीत मी क्रिकेट, खो-खो, कॅरम यांसारखे मैदानी व बैठे खेळ खेळत असतो. कडक ऊन आणि त्यात थंड काही तर पेय किंवा आईस्क्रीम खाण्यात वेगळीच मज्जा असते. आणि उन्हाळ्याच्या दिवसात घरी कोण पाहुणा आला की, आई त्याला थंड काहीतरी पेय सरबत किंवा रसना देत असते आणि सोबत मला पण देते उन्हाळ्यातील हे थंड पेय मला खूप आवडते.

या कोल्ड्रिंक्स मुळे मी उन्हाळ्या ऋतु ची आतुरतेने वाट पाहत असतो. बाहेर कडाक्याचे ऊन आणि घरामध्ये थंड हवेत फॅन, कुलर अथवा ए.सी. खाली बसून टी.व्ही. बघण्याची मज्जा ही वेगळीच असते.

दरवर्षी प्रमाणे या वर्षी ही उन्हाळ्याच्या सुट्ट्यां मध्ये मी माझ्या मामाच्या गावाला जातो. मामाचे गाव हे कर्नाटक राज्यात मध्ये येथे. जाण्यासाठी रेल्वे ने प्रवास करावा लागतो. आणि मला रेल्वेचा प्रवास खूप आवडतो. वर्षातून एकदा म्हणजे उन्हाळ्याच्या सुट्ट्यां मध्येच मी माझ्या मामाच्या गावाला जातो. तेथे गेल्याने आम्ही खूप मज्जा करीत असतो.

उन्हाळ्याच्या कडक दिवसात मी आणि माझ्या मामाची मुले घरा शेजारीच असणाऱ्या बगीच्या मध्ये जातो. बगीच्यामध्ये वेगवेगळी झाडे असल्याचे बगीचाचा परिसर हा अतिशय थंड असतो. वर्षभर अभ्यास करून कंटाळलेल्या स्थितीत काहीतरी नवीन म्हणून उन्हाळ्याच्या सुट्ट्यात आम्ही नव- नवीन गोष्टी शिकतो.

जसे की कागदा पासून वेगवेगळे आकार करणे, घरात शोभेच्या वस्तू बनविणे, घर स्वच्छ करणे, घराच्या आसपास नवीन झाडे लावणे व उन्हाळ्या मध्ये कडक उन्हामुळे नदी, तलाव मधील पाणी आटून जाते त्यामुळे पक्ष्यांना पिण्यासाठी पाणी मिळत नाही म्हणून आम्ही एका भांड्यात पाणी ठेवून ते भांडे झाडावर अडकवतो जेणेकरून त्यातील पाणी पक्ष्यांना पियायला मिळेल.

तसेच आम्ही सर्वजण मिळून उन्हाळ्याच्या सुट्टीत आजूबाजूच्या परिसरात फिरायला जातो. मामाच्या गावा मधून छोटीशी नदी वाहतो. पावसाळ्यात या नदीला खूप पाणी असते व जसजसा उन्हाळा चालू होतो या नदी पात्रातील पाणी आटायला लागते.

पण थोड्या फार प्रमाणात पाणी असल्याने आम्ही सकाळ सकाळी या नदी मध्ये पोहण्यासाठी जातो. मी पोहण्याचे कौशल्य उन्हाळा सुट्टी मध्येच शिकलो आहे. संध्याकाळच्या वेळेस ऊन उतरल्याने आम्ही गावामध्ये जातो. गावामध्ये विठ्ठल- रुक्मिणी चे मोठे मंदिर आहे. आम्ही त्या मंदिरात जाऊन दर्शन घेतो व जरा वेळ मंदिराच्या परिसरात बसुन मग घरी परत येतो.

उन्हाळ्याच्या सुट्टीत आम्ही खूप धमाल करतो. नवीन वस्तू, कपडे यांची खरेदी करतो. फळांचा राजा म्हणून ओळखले जाणारे फळ आंबा हा उन्हाळ्या मध्येच येतो. आंब्याचा आनंद हा उन्हाळ्या मध्येच घेतात. अंबा हे माझे आवडते फळ आहे. म्हणून मला उन्हाळ्यात आंबा खूप आवडतो. तसेच कैऱ्या, चिंचा, पेरू हे सुद्धा उन्हाळ्यातच येतात आणि ते खाण्याची वेगळीच मज्जा आहे.

उन्हाळ्या ऋतूत लग्न समारंभ खूप मोठ्या प्रमाणात होत असतात. दरवर्षी आम्ही चार- पाच लग्नात तर जात असतो. माझे लहान बहिण- भाऊ भातुकलीचा खेळ खेळतात आणि मी सुद्धा त्यांच्या मध्ये लहान मुलां सारखे खेळ खेळत असतो. उन्हाळ्या सुट्टीत माझ्या आवडीची अनेक फळे बाजारात येतात.

अननस, कलिंगड, टरबूज, द्राक्षे यांसारखी मनाला तृप्त करणारी फळे उन्हाळ्या ऋतू मध्ये येतात आणि ते मला खूप आवडतात. मी या फळांचा ज्यूस करून फ्रीज मध्ये ठेवतो व भर उन्हाच्या वेळेस सर्वांसोबत पीत असतो. व सायंकाळी थोडे ऊन उतरले की मी माझ्या मामा सोबत क्रिकेट खेळतो. मामांनाही दहा दिवस उन्हाळ्याच्या सुट्ट्या मिळतात त्या मध्ये मामा आम्हाला सिनेमा, नाटक बघायला घेऊन जातात सोबत आईस्क्रीम कोल्ड्रिंक पाजतात.

रात्री झोपण्याच्या वेळेस आजी- आजोबा आम्हाला त्यांच्या काळातील प्राचीन कथा सांगतात. व सोबतच देवाच्या पौराणिक काहण्या सोबत सांगतात. आजी- आजोबांच्या या कहाण्या ऐकत ऐकतच आम्ही झोपे जात होतो. माझ्या उन्हाळ्याच्या सुट्ट्या ह्या खूप आनंदात जातात.

हातातील मोबाईल व्हाट्सअप, फेसबुक या सर्वांतून डोके बाहेर काढून आपल्या कुटुंबाच्या सहवासात राहण्यात वेगळीच मज्जा अनुभवायला मिळते. वर्षभर दूर राहिलेल्या आजी- आजोबांना ही आम्हाला पाहून आनंद मिळतो. नव- नवीन गोष्टी बघायला आणि शिकायला मिळतात. मित्र- मैत्रिणींचा सहवास लागतो.

उन्हाळ्याची सुट्टी म्हणजे खरच मौज, मजेची असते मौज, मजेसोबतच काहीतरी नवीन शिकायला सुद्धा मिळते. माझी मोठी बहीण उन्हाळ्या सुट्ट्यांमध्ये काही ना काही शिकत असते. या वर्षी ती स्वयंपाक म्हणजेच नव- नवीन पदार्थ आणि मेहंदी काढायला शिकत आहे. या उन्हाळ्या सुट्ट्यांचा आनंद तर मिळतोच पण सोबत नव- नवीन कौशल्य सुद्धा शिकायला मिळतात.

तसेच परीक्षाच निकाल सुद्धा या उन्हाळ्या सुट्ट्यांत लागतो. तो म्हणजेच १ मे या दिवशी मग परीक्षेत चांगल्या गुणांनी पास झाल्यास आई- बाबा आणखी लाड करतात. म्हणून माझ्यासाठी उन्हाळ्या सुट्ट्या ह्या खूप महत्त्वाच्या आहेत. याच वर्षीच नव्हे तर अनेक वर्षेंचा म्हणजे लहानपणा पासून ते आत्ता पर्यंतच्या गोड आठवणींचा संग्रह म्हणजेच माझ्या ” उन्हाळ्या सुट्ट्या “.

म्हणून मला उन्हाळा हा ऋतू आवडतो आणि उन्हाळ्या सुट्ट्या सुद्धा. मी या सुट्टींचा नक्कीच चांगला फायदा करून घेऊन आनंदमयी आणि तणाव मुक्त उन्हाळ्या सुट्ट्या माझ्या कुटुंबा सोबत घालविण्याचा प्रयत्न करेन.

माझी उन्हाळातील सुट्टी ची मजा: My Summer Vacation Essay Marathi :दरवर्षीप्रमाणे ह्या वर्षीही माझे एप्रिल महिन्यातील पेपर झाले व सुट्टी लागली ह्या सुट्टीमध्ये मी खूप धमाल केले, मामाच्या गावाला गेलो, परराज्यात फिरायला गेलो, देशाची राजधानी पहिली आणि खूप मज्जा केली.

शाळेला सुट्टी लागल्याची मजाच फार वेगळी असते, कधी सुट्टी लागनार आणि कधी मी फिरायला जाणार हे विचार परीक्षेच्या वेळी अभ्यास करतांनाही मनात येत असता. ह्या वर्षी सुट्टी लागली आणि मी मामच्या गावाला फिरायला गेलो, माझ्या सोबतच माझी आई आणि माझा लहान भाऊ हेही होते.

माझे मामाचे गाव मला खूप आवडते, गावच्या बाजूने नदी वाहते, तेथे जवळच मामांची शेती आहे, शेती मध्ये विहीर सुद्धा आहे. गावला गेल्यावर तिथे पाळीव प्राणीही पहावयास मिळते.

तसे पहिले तर एप्रिल महिना व मे महिना हे प्रचंड उष्म असतात, ह्या दिवसात गरम फार जास्तच होते, परंतु ह्या प्रचंड गरमीतही सुट्टीची मज्जाच फार वेगळी असते. माझी उन्हाळातील सुट्टी ची मजा हि तशी निराळीच होती.

माझी उन्हाळातील सुट्टी ची मजा : वाढते तापमान

ह्या वर्षी तापमान जरा जास्तच होते, आह्मी ह्या दिवसात पाणी जास्त पिणे हा नियमच बनविला होता, व शक्य नसेल तर दुपारच्या वेळी घराच्या बाहेर न जाणे हेच आह्मी पसंत करत होतो मग घरात बसून सर्वांनी मिळून खेळ खेळणे, चित्रपट पाहणे इत्यादी क्रिया करीत होतो.

ह्या सुट्ट्यांमध्ये आह्मी आपल्या देशाची राजधानी “दिल्ली” येथे फिरयलाही गेलेलो होतो, तेथे आह्मी लाल किल्ला पहिला, अतिशय छान वाटले आह्मी एक दिवस दिल्ली येथे मुक्काम करून बाकीचेही प्रेक्षणीय स्थळ पहिले व नंतर तिथून परत मामच्या गावाला परत आलो. एकंदरीत दिल्लीतील तापमानही फार जास्तच होते. मनात विचारहि आला कि तापमान वाढ होण्यामागे कारणे काय आहेत? ह्या सर्व गोष्टीना माणूसच जबाबदार आहे का? तापमानवाढीवर काही पर्याय आहेत का? आपण सर्वांनी मिळून काय केले तर तापमानात होणारा हा प्रचंड बदल आपण कमी करू शकतो? आपल्याला ह्या सर्व विषयांचे चिंतन करणे फार महत्वाचे आहे.

रात्री मी जेवण करून झाल्यावर घरचा आभ्यासही करायचो, गणिताचे फोरमुले समजावून घेणे, मराठीचे निबंध लिहणे आणि वर्तमानपत्र वाचणे हे सर्वहि मी केले त्यामुळे दिवस कसा गेला हेही मला समजायचे नाही.

माझी उन्हाळातील सुट्टी ची मजा : सुट्टीचा उपयोग

ह्या सुट्टीमध्ये मी एका चित्रकला कार्यशाळेत प्रवेश घेतला जिथे मी नवीन माहिती शिकलो आणि माझ्या कलात्मक कौशल्यांचा यात विकास झाला. चित्रकलेच्या कृतीने मला स्वतःला दैनंदिन जीवनातील तणावातून उपचारात्मक सुटका मिळाली. प्रत्येक ब्रश स्ट्रोक माझ्या अंतःकरणातील विचार आणि भावनांचा एक पुरावा होता आणि कलाकृतीचे अंतिम तुकडे माझ्या उन्हाळ्याच्या सुट्टीत मी तयार केलेल्या आठवणींचे स्मरण म्हणून काम करत होते. माझी उन्हाळातील सुट्टी ची मजा मध्ये मी अशी माझी सुट्टीत मज्जा केली.

सर्व उत्साहाच्या दरम्यान, मी विश्रांती आणि स्वत: ची काळजी घेण्यासाठीसुद्धा वेळ काढला. नदीकिनारी आरामात घालवलेले आळशी दिवस, विहिरीत मारलेल्या उद्या, उंच झाडांच्या सावलीत कादंबऱ्या वाचणे यातच गुंतल्याने माझे मन, शरीर आणि आत्मा पुन्हा टवटवीत झाला.

माझी उन्हाळी सुट्टी जवळ आल्यावर, मी नवीन उर्जा आणि उद्देशाने घरी परतलो. मला आलेले अनुभव आणि मला भेटलेल्या लोकांनी माझे जीवन अशा प्रकारे समृद्ध केले ज्याची मी कल्पनाही केली नव्हती. मग ते निसर्गाचे चमत्कार शोधणे असो, मित्रांसोबत जोडले जाणे असो,माझी उन्हाळी सुट्टी हा वाढीचा, शोधाचा आणि अविस्मरणीय क्षणांचा काळ होता

Summertime is the most awaited time of any student’s life . It gives them a break from the scorching sun and blazing heat. The summer months are quite hot, however, students love them because they bring a sense of calmness due to the vacations. It frees them from the monotonous and dull routine of school and studies.

Most importantly, summer vacations give us a chance to explore new things. We can adopt new hobbies like painting, dancing, singing and more during this time. Furthermore, it gives us a chance to visit our grandparents or to someplace abroad. Summer vacations bring all types of fun, however, these particular summer vacations were the most memorable for me. My parents made me join a summer camp which was too much fun and then we visited our grandparents’ place.

Summer Camp

As the first day of my summer vacations started, I started getting bored easily. Mostly so because all my friends had gone to someplace or the other. My parents noticed this and decided to send me to a summer camp. Our school itself was organizing one in which my parents got me enrolled.

At first, I thought it would be of no use and would be equally boring. However, to my surprise, I was wrong. The summer camp was one of the best experiences of my life. I got the chance to indulge in so many activities and in fact, it was the first time where I discovered my talent for painting.

We got up early in the morning at 7 o’clock, despite no school. We had trainers who would teach us different things each day. On the first day, I got to learn karate, which was very amusing and helpful. Further, I learned how to play sports like basketball , table tennis, and volleyball.

Finally, came my most awaited part. We were taught painting and unique tips to master this art. I learned it quickly and started enjoying painting. My passion for painting began from this summer camp , and I will forever be indebted to it.

My Grandparents’ Place

After my summer camp ended, my whole family decided to visit my grandparent’s village . It is situated away from the city and is full of lush and greenery. I love spending time with my grandparents so I was very excited to visit their village.

We stayed there for over two weeks, and that throughout that time, I was at my best behavior. I used to get up at 7 o’clock in the morning to take a stroll with my grandfather. Then all the family members would get together to have breakfast full of healthy things and fresh fruits from the farm nearby.

In the evening, we would sit by our grandmother’s bed and listen to stories. Then, my siblings and I used to go to the terrace and play games. We would also gaze at their stars all night, as we did not get that in the city.

In short, this is how I spent my summer vacation. It was definitely one of the best times of my lives. I got to learn new things and spend valuable time with my grandparents. I feel blessed to have a loving family with whom I can enjoy my summer vacation.

The ideal time to have true fun is when on a summer vacation. My vacation this time gave me the right opportunity to try new things and learn new skills. I enrolled in a summer camp during my break. I took part in camp activities including karate, yoga, painting, singing, and dancing. On the fifteenth day of the training, my trainers organised a trip to the nearby park. We all had a terrific time despite the bad weather. I had my first experience with animals up close. I had a lot of memories from camp. I made some new friends and participated in all the activities.

My Summer Vacation

I made the choice this year to remain home for the summer instead of taking a trip. To use my free time productively, I enrolled in programmes where I studied canvas painting and concurrently began learning table tennis. In the afternoons, I aided my mother in the kitchen and my father with a few accounting-related jobs. I felt the most connected to and engaged with my family during this period. I then went out with pals for the remainder of the evening. Additionally, I watched a few movies and web series. These TV episodes and films not only entertained me, but also gave me some valuable life lessons.

I used my summer break to spend more time with my family and myself than I could have during the school year. I came to see how productive and fulfilling spending vacations at home truly was.

Since there is no academic pressure or mental stress over the summer, it is thought that this is the perfect time for kids to learn more about themselves and their environment. Additionally, this provides them with much-needed relief from the sweltering heat. Summer vacations provide a terrific opportunity for kids to take a stress-relieving excursion and be outside, something they can't do with their busy schedules during the year.

My Visit to a Hill Station

This year, our family decided to take a summer vacation to a hill station. The visual splendour of several attractive locations in India is well-known, including Mussoorie, Ooty, Wilson Hills, Kufri, Nainital, Manali, Kerala, and Rishikesh. We debated which hill station to visit for a while before deciding on Shimla.

Our Trip to Shimla

My family and I drove to Shimla in our car and arrived early in the morning. We then proceeded right away to the hotel that we had reserved. Shimla has everything to entice travellers, from opulent hotels to gorgeous settings, and mall lanes to retail streets teeming with people from many cultures.

The tour was scheduled to last five days. We visited Mall Road and Jhaku Hills, two of the city's most popular tourist destinations, on the evening of our first day of travel. There are several events taking place there in the evening. Experiencing Shimla's nightlife was also incredible. We went to the Footloose Discotheque, which was packed with lively people and humming with wonderful music.

We rode the toy train the next day. This miniature train travels between Kalka and Shimla. Only 3 such trains operate in our country, and this one is one of them. Even though they move slowly, passing through them is fun. Skiing and bungee jumping were among the winter sports we engaged in that evening.

The next days were spent travelling to towns close to Shimla including Chail, Kufri, and Chitkul. Along with admiring their stunning natural beauty, these locations may be visited for some snowy adventure.

For foodies like myself, Shimla is also a nice treat. Shimla's cuisine is peculiar in that there is no middle ground, with little eateries serving just quick food, fine restaurants serving costly booze, and cafés serving a range of teas and cold beverages. Indulgent salami burgers were what we enjoyed on weekdays on our evening stroll.

We used to become exhausted in the evening after all these days full of activity, but the nightlife there or just gazing up at the stars made us feel really happy and re-energized. Curvy roads force one to see those beautiful hills from all directions, big trees that are standing erect, and that brisk air that exalts one's spirit and emotions.

After five days in Shimla, full of enjoyment, we returned to Delhi. This trip's memories are still fresh in my mind and I have taken many pictures to show to my friends. Shimla is unquestionably the queen of the hill towns. I’m definitely looking forward to the next time we visit.

Writing an essay on how you spent your summer vacation is a classic way of starting a new school year. Think about this essay as an opportunity to tell a story about your summer while reflecting on the experiences you had. Choose a memorable moment you had this summer and start crafting your essay, giving as many details as possible.

Choosing a Topic

Step 1 Look back on mementos you kept from the summer.

These can also make nice visual aids if you are asked to present your essay.

Step 2 Make a list of the things you’ve done over summer vacation.

A list might be full of things like babysitting, attending a camp, working at a local store, taking a road trip, etc. This type of brainstorming can help you pick major events and other important moments from your summer.

For example, maybe you spent your summer traveling around Japan. Think of a memorable moment you had while traveling — maybe you walked up a mountain in the pouring rain — and write about this moment, adding lots of details.

For example, if you're writing about spending time at the beach, your outline could remind you to talk about the sandcastle building contest you entered, the dolphins you saw, and the ice cream you ate every day.
Details might be what the other sandcastles looked like, how far away the dolphins were, and what kind of toppings were on your ice cream.
Your outline is just to help you organize your thoughts — it can be written by hand or typed.

Crafting the Essay

Step 1 Focus on your feelings, interactions, and thoughts.

Instead of saying that you worked in a pet store, ate a PB&J sandwich, and walked home every day, talk about more than just your actions. You could talk about which pets are your favorites to work with, how it felt to eat the same sandwich every day, or what you thought about on your walk home.

The village also encompassed a big playground that used to be full of kids during the evening hours.

Our next day included traveling on the toy train. This toy train here runs from Kalka to Shimla. There are only 3 such trains in our country, and one of them is here. It’s an amusing experience to travel through them irrespective of the fact that they are slow. The evening was spent doing snow adventures such as skiing and bungee jumping.

The next days were spent visiting places near Shimla, such as Chail, Kufri, and Chitkul. These places can be visited for some snow adventure besides enjoying their beautiful scenic beauty.

Shimla is also a good treat for foodies like me. A bizarre thing about Shimla’s food is – that tiny diners or cafes are offering just fast food, a variety of teas and cold drinks, or fancy eateries that have overpriced alcohol on the menus – there is no ground in between. We had salami burgers at Beekays, which were delicious.

During all these days filled with loads of activities to do, we used to get tired in the evening, but the nightlife there or just staring at the starry sky gave us an immense sense of joy and filled us with new energy. There is enchanting music from tall trees standing upright there, curvy roads that make one look at those beautiful hills from all angles, and that lively breeze that fills one’s soul and heart with ecstasy.

We came back to Delhi after spending five fun-filled days in Shimla. The memory of this trip is fresh in my head. Shimla is indeed the queen of hill stations. I would love to revisit the place.

The first thing that caught my attention was not the people around dressed in Disney characters or the marvelous expanse of the space and rides and shops but the castle at the far end – The Disney Castle. It was just spectacular. The very charm and enchantment of it knocked me out of breath. The fireworks at night after a complete parade show make you wonder if you had crossed a line and entered the fantasy world. It had been much more than I imagined, even in my make-believe.

The next was a traveling day as we moved to our next destination Malaysia. The City gateway was the complete opposite of where we came from. This city did not have many skyscrapers, but the beautifully spread horizontal city was rich in culture and diversity. The exquisiteness of mosques, museums, and heritage sites perfectly blend with the city’s modern lifestyle and layout. The hilltop parts of the country, like Genting Highlands, could be called heaven on earth. The beaches here offer a perfect place to relax and rejuvenate. I am glad we choose this as our last destination during this trip.

The journey to the village was smooth. We started well ahead of the train’s arrival time and reached the platform before its arrival time. It is three hours of a train journey from my city to the grandparent’s village, passing through lush green agricultural fields and glimpses of village life.

When we got off the train, I saw my grandfather waving and walking toward us, accompanied by my cousins. After exchanging initial greetings, we walked towards our house a couple of kilometers from the station. Though there is a road to reach the house, we took rather secluded trails, passing through the fields.

Something is mesmerizing about an Indian villages ; the cool breeze, the peace and calm, the smell and sound of cattle, and the distant sound of a pumping set from the fields entices you and makes you cherish every passing moment.

The food, milk, and even water taste much better in the village than in the city. We stayed in the village for four days, during which I met many of my relatives, elders, and friends from the village. I even went to our family’s agricultural field and learned a few tips for farming. Four days passed quickly, and the day soon arrived when we had to move on a further journey. However, it appeared that a few surprises were waiting for me.

Trip to the Dudhwa National Park

When the day arrived, I was in for two surprises firstly, that we were going to “Dudhwa National Park” and secondly that my grandparents were also going with us.

Dudhwa tiger reserve is a protected area spanning over 1280 sq km in Uttar Pradesh. It stretches across the districts of Lakhimpur Kheri and Bahraich, sharing the northeastern boundary with Nepal.

We boarded the train to Bareilly from Varanasi, an unforgettable overnight journey spent with family and like-minded wildlife enthusiasts, traveling to the same destination as us. From Bareilly, we took a connecting train to Dudhwa, which is approximately a distance of 12 kilometers.

We reached the park in the evening and stayed in a simple yet comfortable resort, having all the comforts and basic amenities. The staff was accommodating, and the food was simply delicious. The resort was securely surrounded by forest on all s, use and was well guarded. We fell to sleep listening to the voices of jungle fowls and animals from a distance.

The next morning we all woke up early and got ready for the jungle safari. The forest deforests deforest department organized the safari in anth a guard and an experienced guide onboard. As soon as we entered the forest, we started seeing birds and animals, which we had only seen in books and television. Birds like Bengal Florican and great slaty woodpecker were a delight to watch. As we progressed deeper, many species of deer- swamp deer, barasingha, and chital came into view. We were also lucky enough to spot barking deer, which is very difficult due to its shy nature. We were lucky enough to spot a tiger lurking in the bushes on our third and last day. With this last sighting, our journey ended, and we headed back home on the same evening.

Summer vacation is the best time in any student’s life. A month or more of a fun time at your disposal is nothing less than a blessing. There are several ways to spend a summer vacation, although we must spend it in such a way that we learn new things and gain new experiences. Also, take care not to harm or disregard anyone during your enjoyment.

We learnt about the different types of vegetation and the cultural heritage of the place. My grandparents helped me in learning the names of different trees.

We went bird watching with the whole family. I learnt about the different birds that are found only in the Ooty. We would start the day with an early morning walk with my cousins and then we would play and travel through the city for the day. Towards the end of the trip, we also went shopping to take souvenirs of the place. I am very grateful for the love of my family, and I had the best time during this summer vacation. I love summer vacation for two reasons. The first reason is that the summer season is the mango season. We get lots of mangoes during summer . The second reason is that we have vacation for two months. There is no school , no studies. There is nothing specific to do for two months.

This season I had been to my grandparents’ house for about a month. They live in a small village near Pune. I went there with my parents. Two of my cousins from Nagpur also joined us. My grandfather lives in a huge old-fashioned house. He is a doctor and owns a small hospital .

The house is surrounded by lots of trees. There is a mango tree, a coconut tree, a chikoo tree, and many more. Our children enjoyed ourselves a lot there. In the morning, after having breakfast, we used to play cricket , football in the garden , In the afternoon we played cards, carom, etc. My mother , uncle, and Granny also joined us many times. We ate fresh fruits, vegetables and lots of mangoes.

Every evening grandfather used to take us for a walk. We also went to some picnic spots nearby. Sometimes we used to go to his dispensary and help him in treating the patients.

One day we went on a short picnic to a temple. My father told that it is a very old temple. The temple is on a small hill and we enjoyed climbing there. It was really a cool and comfortable place. There was also a small river just near the temple. We went boating there. Then we had our lunch and returned home in the evening.

I really had a great time for one month with my grandparents. I felt that I could stay at my Granny’s place forever. But the school was about to reopen and I had to come back. But I will certainly visit my grandparents again next year.

This summer vacation, I spent my time in the city with my aunt. Being a village student, I never had the opportunity to explore the cities until this summer vacation. This summer vacation, I spent time with my aunt, who lives in Kolkata. My Aunt is a doctor in Kolkata. This summer vacation, I came to live with her for a few days.

Since my aunt had to work the night shift, she could spend the day with me. During the, we would take the public bus and take a tour of the City of Joy, Kolkata. She used to take me to some of the historical places and local attractions.

Kolkata is known for its vivacity, culture, and colors. Located in the eastern part of India, it is the center of many historical events and home to diverse cultures. This summer vacation, I spent time visiting some of the most prestigious places in Kolkata.

Places I Visited

I went to Victoria Memorial, a famous landmark in Kolkata housing some of the most famous sculptures, and paintings, artifacts from the colonial era in India. I also saw the magnificent Howrah Bridge over the Hooghly river in Kolkata. This is one of the busiest bridges in the world and stores the unique engineering marvel of the city of joy.

Memory I Made

What I loved the most during this trip was going to M. P. Birla Planetarium . It is one of the finest astrological observatories, and I cannot stop thinking about all the collections of their astronomy gallery. I also enjoyed my trip to the Alipur zoo with my aunt.

This is where I saw the tiger, the lion, and the python. We also tasted different street foods with my aunt during our trips. She used to treat me to the best street foods available in Kolkata. Sometimes we were late to return home, and my aunt had to go to work during the evening. However, I loved the experience of traveling around the city with my aunt. It was a thrilling experience for me.

Once the summer vacation was over, I had to return home and go back to school again. Although I returned, my mind was filled with the memories of the busy city streets, historical places, and vibrant city life. This summer vacation was full of great experiences I will never forget.

It is true that for a student, summer vacations are one of the most anticipated times of the year. I used to look forward to summer vacations too till last year. But now that I am in my final year of school, the realization slowly started sinking in that summer vacations won’t be a carefree time for me as this year I have to spend the vacation preparing for my school final examinations. The Surprise

So you can well understand the happiness I felt when my parents announced that they had planned a trip for me to go on during summer vacation. But Little did I know that more surprises awaited me. My parents along with my friends’ parents have decided that since this is our final summer vacation in school, they will allow us to go on a trip together alone with no parental supervision. We will all be going to Shimla and staying at the house of one of my friend’s relatives.

Imagine the happiness and excitement that my friends and I felt upon hearing this news. Since all our parents decided to break the news on the same evening, we all got to know around the same time. Since we will be leaving in three days, the next few days were spent simultaneously packing and planning with our friends on the phone. On the day, a car driven by a friend’s older brother picked all of us up from our homes. It took us around 9 hours to reach Shimla.

What we did in Shimla

We were tired and fell asleep. But the next day, we rose early to explore Shimla. We went on a short trek to visit Jakhu Temple and enjoyed the panoramic view from the hilltop. The next day, we went on a day trip to Kufri, a hill station near Shimla where we tried various adventurous activities like skiing and horse riding. The adrenaline rush I felt was simply amazing. We also visited several historical landmarks, strolled down the Mall road, visited local markets and apple farms, rode the toy train, and took a walk in the pine forests.

We were in Shimla for 15 days and I think we tried out all the activities for tourists and visited almost every part of Shimla. All the time we were in Shimla, we were in awe of the beautiful natural scenery surrounding us. Needless to say, I immensely enjoyed my very first trip with friends. I will forever cherish the memories I made on this trip.

Large portions of England and Wales braced for considerable heat on Tuesday, with government officials issuing an alert for vulnerable people and meteorologists warning it would be the hottest day of the year so far.

Temperatures in London and along the southern and eastern coastlines are expected to climb to nearly 90 degrees Fahrenheit, or 32 Celsius, which may be typical weather this time of year for many parts of the world but is unusual for Britain, where the weather this summer has been especially cool and rainy.

The heat in Britain may also stir up sweaty memories of a string of brutally hot days across the country in July 2022 , when schools, doctors’ offices and museums shut their doors while the government urged people to work from home. In Britain, few people have air conditioning at home , and much of the country’s housing stock was built to retain heat . Transport delays in very hot or very cold weather are not uncommon.

“Much of the U.K. is entering a warm or even hot interlude of weather, with some places in England and Wales likely to meet heat-wave criteria in the coming days,” Frank Saunders, the chief meteorologist at the Met Office, Britain’s national weather service, said in a news release on Tuesday.

Britain’s health security agency issued a yellow alert , a level one out of three, for most of England, from the southern coast through the Midlands. Yellow indicates weather conditions were unlikely to affect most people, but could bother those who are particularly vulnerable.

On Monday night, when temperatures were relatively warm by Britain’s standards, the line to enter an outdoor pool in East London extended out of the facility. Robyn Landau, an interdisciplinary scientist, said that hot weather in London feels much hotter than in other cities that are better designed to cope with it.
