To get your official transcript from IGNOU, follow the simple steps mentioned below:
Fill in the Application Form for the issue of the official transcript. This is available on IGNOUs official website.
Get the printouts of both sides of your degree and marksheet.
If you want the transcript shipped to your address in India then make a DD for the marksheet (INR 300) and degree (INR 300). This marksheet should have marks for all years or semesters.
In case you have the marksheet for every year or semester then DD Number of marksheet X 300 +300 for the degree.
If you are willing to get your transcript delivered out of India, then the cost of both the degree and marksheet is INR 500 instead of INR 300.
Write your roll number, name and contact number on the backside of DD.
The transcript will be enclosed in a sealed IGNOU envelope.
All the documents have to be submitted to Block 9, Room 2.
It usually takes 20-25 days for the transcript to get delivered.
You don’t have to personally visit the university. You can send someone on your behalf too along with the documents.

You do not have to necessarily pay your fees in the first year itself. If you do, you will benefit a lot from it. So yes it’s a luxury, not a necessity.
At IGNOU, you have to pay fees for only 2 years even if you take 5 years to complete the course. IGNOU exam fees are payable every time you appear, per course basis. Keep in mind that practical and theoretical exam fees are different for the same course.
Your course has a minimum of 2 to a maximum of 5 years of eligibility. It can be convenient if you deposit your fees for the second year and then opt for the exams within the stipulated 5 years. The major benefit will be that you become eligible to appear for exams in both years.

Simply, by registering for the 2nd year as well, you become eligible to complete your course anytime within 5 years. It does not matter if you do not appear on your first-year exams or do not complete your assignments. You can do it conveniently within 5 years.
The minimum duration of an IGNOU course accounts for the minimum period you have to spend on a course to get a degree. The maximum duration is the maximum time period you can take to complete a program in order to get a degree.
Because of long distance learning, there are many people who might not complete the course within the minimum period. For them the maximum duration helps in completing the pending assignments and exams without affecting the work they are doing alongside.
For example, the MCA Course in IGNOU is for 3 years. This means to get a degree you have to give at least 3 years. If you don’t complete 3 years you will not get a degree. This is the minimum duration.
Now for the same program, MCA, IGNOU gives you a maximum of 6 years. This means you can take 6 years to complete your assignments and give all exams. This is the maximum duration.

NEW DELHI: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has rescheduled the Term End Examination (TEE) June 2024 scheduled for June 18 due to clash with the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) June 2024. Now, all the papers scheduled to be held on June 18 will be conducted on June 23. IGNOU’s decision follows the representations made by students of postgraduate programmes.

“Consequent upon the representations for June, 2024 TEE received from the students of PG Programmes regarding UGC-NET Examination being held on 18.06.2024 (which was earlier scheduled on 16.06.2024) the IGNOU has decided to reschedule, the entire set of Examination to be held on 18.06.2024 (Tuesday) to 23.06.2024 i.e. SUNDAY to safeguard the interest of the Students,” said IGNOU in an official notice.
“All the other remaining examination will be held as per the Date Sheet for Term-End- Examination June, 2024,” it added.

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has released the admit card for June-term end examinations 2024. Students who will be appearing in exam can check and download their admit cards on the official website http://ignou.ac.in/ and students can download the same through their enrolment number. IGNOU June term-end examinations will begin on June 7, 2024.
Candidates should make sure to carry printout of admit card to exam hall. One should also carry a valid ID proof to the exam hall. In case they fail to carry the same, students will not be allowed to appear in June TEE exam. It is advisable to download and keep a copy of your IGNOU admit card for future reference even after the exams are over.
How to download Students should go to the official IGNOU website. On homepage, navigate to the “Student Support” or “Student Zone” section. Look for hall ticket or admit card section. Click on the respective link. Enter your enrolment number and other required details (as mentioned in form). Submit the information to view admit card. IGNOU hall ticket will appear on screen, go through same and download it. Take its printout for future references.
Enrolment number In case student forgot enrolment number, he/she should navigate to student support or student zone section and click on forgot enrolment number or retrieve enrolment number. Post entering required details, IGNOU enrolment number will be sent to their registered email address or mobile number.
Assignment submission deadline ends today Candidates enrolled in ODL, online programmes, GOAL, and EVBB for the June 2024 TEE can submit their projects, and files, internship projects at official IGNOU website – http://ignou.ac.in/ till May 15, 2024. The exam will conclude on July 13. It is scheduled to be conducted in two shifts – a morning shift from 10 am to 1 pm and an evening shift from 2 pm to 5 pm.
