词汇及语法错误批注 | 5.
- In the social point of view, telling this to children is very important because we are motivating the child not to give up. From a social perspective, telling children this is very important because it motivates them not to give up. 介词的语法错误:应使用 'From a social perspective' 而不是 'In the social point of view'. 代词单复数错误:应该用 'them' 而不是 'the child',因为在之前的句子中提到了‘children’.
- We are making him to try hard, to make an effort, to read between lines and at the end of that long path achieve their objectives. We encourage them to try hard, make an effort, read between the lines, and ultimately achieve their objectives. 及物动词的使用错误和代词单复数错误:不需要使用 'making him to', 可以直接用 'encourage them to'. 'Read between lines' 是一个短语错误,正确的说法是 'read between the lines'.
- it was just because another person deserve it more than us. it was simply because another person deserved it more than we did. 时态错误和代词使用错误:'deserve' 应该是过去式 'deserved' 和 'us' 应改为 'we did' 以保持语义和时态一致。
- In the economic point of view, if our objectives demand a lot of money, we are again in the same situation, although we work hard, it would be difficult to achieve it. From an economic perspective, if our objectives require a significant amount of money, we find ourselves in the same situation; even with hard work, achieving them would be difficult. 介词的语法错误:应该使用 'From an economic perspective' 而不是 'In the economic point of view'. 不间断句子:用分号 ';' 替代逗号,以避免不间断句子。
- And at the end, if you have done all these things but you still did not achieve your goal, you will be happy anyway because you did your best. In the end, if you have done all these things but still haven't achieved your goal, you'll still be content knowing you did your best. 时态错误和修饰语错位:应该用 'haven't achieved' 而不是 'did not achieve'. 'Will be happy anyway' 可以更精确地改为 'you'll still be content knowing you did your best'。

In this modern era of nonstop scientific and technological advancement, artists still command profound respect from people worldwide. There are a number of things about life that the arts can teach us that science and technology fail to do so.
Many forms of art, especially literature, can deliver messages about the appreciation of what we have in life as well as life itself. Hundreds of literary works choose to depict misery, misfortune, and sorrow that still exist in many places, and this sends the strongest message to those who do not appreciate their lives. “The Goldfinch”, for example, which narrates a resonant story about the miserable life the main character led after the unfortunate death of his mother does make each one of us wonder whether we have become heartless toward our own loved ones. And I doubt that there are any technologies in the world that could manage to convey such powerful messages .
Arts teach us to cherish the beauty of culture and are t he fuel for our spiritual lives . This is extremely important in a world where science and technology seem to fade our belief in the gravity of culture in daily life. The connection between arts and culture is here to stay, and traditional music and ancient paintings can remind us of where we came from and who we are at present. That is to say, our cultural identity is preserved in various forms of art.
Although science and technology advance our understanding of all things and better our lives , arts can touch us to a much deeper extent , help us value what we have, and remind us of the significance of our culture.

The strides and incredible advances science has made today is greater and mightier than ever before. However, art and culture are distinct niches altogether that can’t ever be overshadowed by the pace science has been moving forthwith and that is why artists are profoundly acknowledged and revered.
The essence of art and culture dates back to as long as human civilization has ever existed. The murals and paintings of Ajanta Ellora caves by themselves steadfast in the presence of art for a long time. It is undeniably true and inevitably essential that human brains as reportedly so, can’t execute well without the secretion of Dopamine, Oxytocin, Endorphins and serotonin, which are indeed triggered by art and music. In fact, as compared to the medications and antidepressants used for people undergoing hypertension and depression or other relevant mental anomalies, music has often be touted much more efficacious with no side effects at all.
Poetry, painting, narration, literature too, as a matter of fact, are unparalleled with regards to expounding and depicting human emotions, which can never be superseded by technologies ever. People often consider literature or other nuance of culture as slightly unpragmatic, which is a completely irrational argument. Intellectual demonstration of agony, euphoria, melancholy or exhilaration, is in no way, impractical. The folk tales, bedlams and even religion is one way or the other, related to the subtlety of art itself. Hence, is undoubtedly essential.
Conclusively, it may be stated that though science could say a lot about “What is life?”, however, it fails to impart “How to live?”, which is aptly and had always been in the past, entailed by art and culture.

IELTS Writing Task 2 often explores the intersection of art and society. The topic of “the role of art in expressing social issues” has appeared in various forms over the years and is likely to remain relevant in future exams. This subject allows candidates to demonstrate their understanding of art’s impact on society and their ability to articulate complex ideas. Let’s examine a recent question that exemplifies this theme:
Some people think that art (e.g. painting, music, poetry) can have an important influence on social issues. Others think that art has no effect on social issues. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
Analyzing the Question
This question requires candidates to:
- Discuss the view that art can significantly influence social issues
- Explore the opposing view that art has no impact on social issues
- Present and justify their own opinion on the matter
It’s crucial to address all parts of the question to achieve a high band score. Let’s look at sample essays for different band scores to understand how to approach this topic effectively.
Sample Essay 1 (Band 8-9)
Art has long been a powerful medium for expressing societal concerns and catalyzing change. While some argue that artistic expressions have a profound impact on social issues, others contend that art is ineffective in this realm. This essay will examine both perspectives before presenting my own viewpoint.
Proponents of art’s social influence argue that artistic works can raise awareness, evoke empathy, and inspire action on pressing issues. For instance, Picasso’s “Guernica” powerfully depicted the horrors of war, becoming an enduring symbol of peace. Similarly, protest songs of the 1960s, such as Bob Dylan’s “Blowin’ in the Wind,” became anthems for the civil rights movement, mobilizing people against racial injustice. These examples demonstrate art’s capacity to reach people emotionally and intellectually, potentially shifting public opinion and driving social change.
Conversely, skeptics maintain that art has minimal real-world impact on social issues. They argue that artistic works often preach to the converted, rarely reaching or convincing those with opposing views. Furthermore, they contend that concrete policy changes and grassroots activism are more effective in addressing social problems than symbolic artistic gestures. This perspective suggests that while art may be aesthetically pleasing or personally moving, it fails to translate into tangible societal improvements.
In my opinion, while art alone may not solve complex social issues, it plays a crucial role in shaping public discourse and inspiring action. Art can serve as a catalyst, bringing attention to overlooked problems and humanizing abstract concepts. For example, The role of art in expressing social issues has been evident in recent years with powerful murals addressing climate change, prompting communities to engage with environmental concerns. Moreover, art can provide a voice to marginalized groups, fostering understanding and empathy across societal divides.
In conclusion, while the direct impact of art on social issues may be difficult to quantify, its ability to provoke thought, inspire empathy, and initiate conversations makes it an indispensable tool for social commentary and change. The power of art lies not in providing solutions, but in compelling us to confront and grapple with the complexities of our society.

Sample Essay 2 (Band 6-7)
Art has been a way for people to express themselves for a long time. Some people think it can change society, while others don’t. I will talk about both sides and give my opinion.
Those who believe art is important for social issues say it can make people think differently. For example, songs about war can make people want peace. Paintings showing poor people can make others want to help. Art can touch people’s feelings and make them care about problems in the world.
On the other hand, some people think art doesn’t really change anything. They say that looking at a painting or listening to a song doesn’t solve real problems like hunger or violence. These people believe that only actions, like giving money or changing laws, can really help society.
In my opinion, art can be useful for social issues, but it’s not the only solution. I think art can make people more aware of problems and sometimes inspire them to act. For instance, importance of public art in fostering community identity shows how art can bring people together and make them think about their community. However, art alone cannot fix everything. It needs to work together with other efforts to make real changes in society.
To conclude, while art may not directly solve social problems, it can play an important role in making people aware and encouraging them to take action. Art and other forms of addressing social issues should work together for the best results.
(Word count: 261)
Sample Essay 3 (Band 5-6)
Art is something people make like paintings and music. Some people think it can help with social problems, but others don’t agree. I will talk about both ideas.
People who think art is good for social issues say it can make people feel things. When someone sees a sad painting, they might want to help others. Music can make people happy or angry about things happening in the world. This way, art can make people care about problems.
But some people don’t think art helps with social issues. They say looking at art doesn’t give food to hungry people or stop wars. These people think only real actions can help, not just making art.
I think art can be a little bit helpful for social issues. It can make people think about problems they didn’t know about before. But I also think art alone is not enough to fix big problems in the world. People need to do more than just make or look at art to really help.
In the end, art can be good for making people think about social issues, but it’s not the only thing that’s important. We need both art and other ways to help make the world better.

Art is Considered an Important Part of Society: IELTS Essay Samples
Question- Art is considered an important part of society as well as an expression of its culture. Do you think it is important for children to be taught art? Do you think children should be encouraged to focus on arts rather than other subjects?
Art has a critical and inherent role in our society, acting as a harbinger and display of culture and creativity. It is, thus, vital that children should be taught art from a young age. Art is a great tool and avenue for children to learn and express themselves creatively. For example, a child taking part in an art exhibition in school or even in college will naturally harness the skills of innovation and creative thinking in the future. Some of the world’s most gifted artists have endowed us with timeless masterpieces while creating landmarks and examples of what happens if creativity is manifested suitably. Children will treasure their thoughts and passions if they start learning art and artistic skills. The artwork helps children understand how to express ideas and concepts. Young minds are highly linguistic and often face issues in communicating their visions and thoughts. With artwork and creative expressions like writing, painting, and sketching, they can display their ideas to the world. This is why psychologists and experts feel that children should learn the art and be exposed to art to boost creativity and mental well-being. Although art helps foster greater creative thinking and mental well-being, it also teaches children to express their emotions. Hence, it should be implemented educationally along with the other subjects. Children should have a balanced educational curriculum where each subject should be given a priority. Other subjects like language, science, and mathematics should be equally taught in the daily curriculum to ensure comprehensive learning of children to grow up as educated, rational, and free-thinking individuals. They are equally needed for suitably teaching and grooming our future leaders. To conclude, I would like to state that art should be taught to younger children in schools and elsewhere to teach them creative expression and harness their imagination. However, it should be balanced with other vital subjects in the curriculum for overall development. (320 words)
Important Resources to Read About IELTS Exam:
The actual functioning of any society is often indicative of its pursuits in terms of creative talent, art, and socio-cultural sensibilities. In my opinion, it is crucial for children to achieve a certain level of understanding, knowledge, and proficiency in art and art-related subjects. It is arts that plays a vital role in the expression and manifestation of cultural and historical facets of any country. If nobody had opted for arts, then we would not have been able to see, understand and learn from the countless priceless paintings, sculptures, artifacts, ornaments, historical monuments and landmarks that have been created over centuries. Art helps us understand our roots, cultures, and ancestry and how we have continued to evolve across civilizations. Art is what impacts creativity intrinsically. It helps in stimulating innovation and free thought. Multiple famous discoveries in music, literature, dance, painting and sculpture are fitting examples of how art-based disciplines can naturally succeed. Take the example of the Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci or even the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the Taj Mahal in Agra. Many forms of artistry and creativity have evolved over the years. Art also offers a suitable platform for students to explore their intrinsic potential, giving them good career options. People coming from less-privileged backgrounds or humbler circumstances may also get the motivation to change their lives by displaying their artistic talents alongside. There are countless stories about how people from marginalized and less-privileged communities and backgrounds made it big and succeeded due to their artistic skills and talents. Lastly, I also think that it is not likely that all children will have the same level of interest in pursuing art as a subject in the mainstream. We need a sizable chunk of students to go for art and art-based disciplines for a more balanced and compassionate society. We require as many artists as we require scientists, lawyers, engineers, doctors and other professionals in various fields. To sum up, I feel that art is a great influence over our historical and cultural knowledge and that too positively. Artistic achievements always provide intangible benefits to societies, communities, people and countries. They also help in unveiling new talents and skilled minds. Thus, children should be encouraged to study art as a subject, but they should always have their freedom of choice. (385 words)

Art is Considered an Important Part of Society: IELTS Essay on Art and Society
You will be asked to write a variety of essays in IELTS Writing Task 2. This includes Opinion Essays, Argumentative Essays, Advantages and Disadvantages Essays, Problem & Answer Essays, and Mixed Essays. The type of essay required must be determined, and your responses must be written accordingly. You are expected to use your skills, experience, and examples when answering.
To be more specific, IELTS Writing Task 2 requires you to write a 250-word essay on a given topic. Not to mention the fact that the task is time-limited. You have 40 minutes to cleverly answer the specific topic with your own language, obviously without any mistakes. This article provides an example of an essay on “Art is considered an important part of a society.”
Art is Considered an Important Part of Society: IELTS Essay Topic
Will you be able to write an essay on art? If you don’t have the idea to approach a topic like that, you must read the section below carefully.
Art is Considered an Important Part of Society Sample 1
Introduction.
Art is widely regarded as an important aspect of society, and works of art often offer important insights into current communities. I am fully in favour of art education playing a significant part in the lives of children. I assume that children should be encouraged to value art as much as they value other topics such as science, math, and so on. This article would address two advantages of combining art education to include a rationale for why prioritising other topics is so beneficial.
Since the movements and methods used in making it include finely tuned motor abilities, one of the main benefits of incorporating art instruction in a school curriculum is that it aids in the learning of motor skills.

Art is Considered an Important Part of Society IELTS Essay: Body
Swirling a paintbrush, colouring between multiple lines, and erasing minor aspects of a sketch are all examples of this, and they all include particular concentrations and smooth hand motions. Drawing various shapes and chopping papers would not only improve general dexterity, but it would also make children even more concise and effective. Another advantage in delivering art lessons is the production of total trust. Take, for example, the usually egocentric visual arts. To put it another way, when a kid sketches or paints, it is an expression of themselves and how they think. As a result, if teachers and others encourage young people to participate in visual art by complementing their work and showing the images in an exhibition, this type of project is likely to improve children’s morale and personal growth.
Art is Considered an Important Part of Society IELTS Essay: Conclusion
Children must be encouraged to pursue painting as well as academic subjects such as algebra, astronomy, and others. Using detailed perceptions of both subjects, the study of astronomy was made perfectly possible, just as the scale of the earth, our distance from the sun, and the advent of satellites were made perfectly possible. Without it, we wouldn’t have any of our new technological marvels and would have remained uncivilised for all time.
Finally, it is obvious that spare subjects are just as important as art subjects. Furthermore, regardless of the incorporation of a creative approach and determinations, providing art education remains a truly fundamental mission.
Art is Considered an Important Part of Society Sample 2
One of the most contentious issues currently is whether or not art is a necessary subject for school children. In this article, I’ll look at both sides of the debate and then offer my own thoughts on the topic.
On one side of the debate, others contend that the advantages of it as an intellectual topic far outweigh the drawbacks. The primary explanation for this is that it is the transformation of an individual’s creativity into paper; as a result, it assists students in broadening their thinking. It’s also plausible to argue that it serves as a vehicle for shy students to articulate themselves directly.

One clear example is when children show their love and feelings towards their parents by using their imagination to create a birthday card, assuming they studied this craft in kindergarten. As a result, it’s easy to see why this viewpoint has gained traction.
Individuals, on the other hand, often contend that it is a waste of time. People also believe this because students are already overburdened with other academic topics, and having a class would add to their workload. Furthermore, there are no career opportunities for art students nowadays; as a result, they choose other vocational subjects. For example, students should choose between science and commerce, all of which have plenty of job opportunities.
As a result, it can go without saying that this point of view is both plausible and rational.
Both points, in my view, have substance. Overall, however, I agree that it should be an elective subject, bearing in mind that students’ work prospects are paramount.
Art is Considered an Important Part of Society Sample 3
Art is a significant cultural legacy that represents individuality and reflects national characteristics, values, and customs. Despite its relevance, people’s engagement with and participation in it has declined in recent years, as science and technology have taken precedence. There are some reasons for this ignorance that can be found, but there are also some remedies that can be used to change this perspective.
There are some key explanations for the change in focus and mindset toward technological fields. To begin with, painting is a profession that does not promise a high wage. People are most likely to study high-demand careers such as science, which are more indispensable and in-demand in the community. Second, humans are heavily reliant on technology, as gadgets make everyday activities easier, medical services help to avoid and treat illnesses, and technology, in general, makes our lives easier. People began creating science spheres after seeing the advantages and successes of innovations. Because of these possibilities, people choose technological and business capabilities over creative talent.
To solve a dilemma, one can engage in a variety of tasks. To continue, the government should fund galleries and art-related subjects in schools to raise public consciousness of the importance of it and to develop creative skills in children. Similarly, sentimental appeals, such as musicals, operas, and plays, will stimulate and inspire a culture to cultivate the arts. Regrettably, due to their busy schedules, people are unable to visit museums and galleries in their free time. As a result, the government will open cultural centres at night and organise festivals, allowing people to visit them on weekends. Those solutions have the potential to strengthen the present situation and change people’s attitudes about it for the better.
To summarise, it is an essential aspect of life that has fallen out of favour. However, the dilemma can be addressed if the government and individuals take the appropriate action.
The IELTS Writing Task 2 is an essential part of the test. To write an excellent essay, you must be well-versed in a wide range of statistics and subjects. This breadth of experience will assist you in easily relating something to the subject in order to bolster your argument. Since there are various types of essays, you must practise one thoroughly in order to achieve a good band score on your IELTS test.

(I asked this question anywhere else on your blog but can not locate now 🙁 )

There are two words which you need to learn: 1) The arts This relates to art and other skills which reflect human creativity and expression such as dancing, threatre, video making, design etc 2) art This relates to painting, drawing and sculpting. It is usually something created with hands or brushes and involves an image or picture being formed. This is a general definition.

Band 6+: Art is considered an essential part of all cultures throughout the world. However, these days fewer and fewer people appreciate art and turn their focus to science, technology and business. Why do you think this is? What could be done to encourage more people to take interest in the arts?
In this day and age, in spite of the fact that art plays a pivotal role in all the cultures all over the world, individuals are more interested in science, technology, and business, and fewer people strive to seek artwork. This essay intends to look into some reasons for this phenomenon and also propose ways to stimulate more population to participate in art.
According to the history, artists earn less money than others and there are a handful of job opportunities for them in society. Additionally, the number of students is extremely low in this major at universities, and they prefer to opt profitable branches in science, technology, and business. A large majority of people believe that art does not have any career future, and it is entirely waste of time in both academia and industry.
However, we cannot yet, deny the effect of it on our cultures and how much it is imperative for our society. Furthermore, governments can support youngsters financially and arouse them to take part in cultural incidents. For instance, create special places like art galleries so that painters and artists could represent and sell their paintings to others. This is really beneficial as young folks feel that their artworks are valuable, and it makes them to pursue this career in the long run.
In conclusion, if policymakers are not able to find an appropriate solution to support artists both spiritually and financially, the present trend will continue and we will witness more and more individuals go towards the other majors like science, technology, and business. As a result, art will be eradicated in the not too distant future.
