10 Best Homework Help Websites for Students

By Med Kharbach, PhD | Last Update: May 11, 2024

homework help websites

In the age of information, the pursuit of knowledge isn’t limited to the boundaries of a physical classroom. The internet, a vast repository of knowledge, provides an invaluable resource for students in need of assistance with their homework. But with such an expansive digital landscape, finding reliable, high-quality educational resources can often feel like searching for a needle in a haystack.

That’s where our curated list of the best homework help websites comes into play. To help you navigate the limitless sea of educational platforms, we’ve done the legwork and compiled a selection of the very best websites offering homework help. These websites, vetted for their quality and effectiveness, cover a broad range of subjects, ensuring that every student finds the assistance they need.

Homework Help Websites for Students

From math and science to language learning, social studies, and history, these platforms provide comprehensive resources that empower students to tackle their homework with confidence. Read on to explore our top picks and elevate your learning journey

1. AI Chatbots

Since I published this list on homework assistants, several shifts have occurred in the online landscape, one of which is the remarkable advancement of AI chatbots such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Jasper, Perplexity AI, among others. It struck me that these tools, if harnessed with care and responsibility, could serve as invaluable allies in the homework help arena.

These AI companions can offer instant assistance with a wide range of subjects, from math to literature, making them a flexible resource for students seeking to deepen their understanding or overcome specific challenges. Moreover, their ability to provide tailored support and explanations can make the learning process more engaging and personalized. It’s crucial, though, for students to remain critical thinkers and not rely solely on these tools, using them to supplement their learning journey rather than replace traditional study methods and the invaluable guidance of teachers.

Brainly is a website that offers homework help with subjects such as Math, Social Studies, World Languages, Computer Science, Arts, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, among others. Homework help in Brainly is community-driven and is provided by other students, tutors, Phds, and teachers. There is also the option for students to work 1:1 with tutors live. To learn more, check out Brainly full guide for students .

Chegg is another good website that offers homework help. More specifically Chegg offers three main services: Chegg Study, Textbook rentals, and Internship career advice. These services are accessible for a fee, the subscription plan starts at 14.95 per month.

The Chegg Study comprises the following features: textbook solutions, expert Q&A, writing help, math solver, premium flashcards, video explanations and more. To learn more, check out  Chegg’s full tutorial for students .

Quizlet is a very good homework help website. It equips students with the tools they need to learn any skill. There are in-depth explanations that use step by step explanations to show students how to solve complex problems.

Quizlet hosts solutions in over 60 subjects. The Flashcard feature in Quizlet is another powerful tool to help students prepare for their assignments and quizzes. Students can create their own interactive flashcards and study sets or use pre-made ones shared by other students and learners. Quizlet is also available as a mobile app for both iOS and Android devices. To learn more, check out Quizlet guide for teachers and students .

5- Bartleby

Bartleby enables students to search for and find answers to their learning problems, access textbooks, and explore step by step explanations to homework questions. Students can also browse homework help by subject.

There are numerous subjects covered including math, language, engineering, business, social science, science, and many more. Besides homework help, Bartleby also offers a virtual writing center to help students develop their writing skills and Bartleby tutor which provides 1-on-1 tutoring help 24/7. Plus a free trial period, Bartleby also offers the first week for $4.99.

6- Numerade

Numerade features short explanatory STEM video lessons covering answers to different textbook problems and questions. Students can search for problems  or upload an image and get instant help.

Each explanation comes with a step by step video lesson showing how to solve textbook problems. Numerade offers help with textbook questions in the following subjects: physics, algebra, trigonometry, biology, chemistry, accounting, calculus, geometry, statistics, pre-calc, accounting, and many more. Nemrade is also available as an iOS app.

Shmoop offers homework help and study guides for students. Shmoop’s materials stand out because of the dose of humour integrated in them. Shmoop’s resources include study guides, courses, quizzes, assignments, activities, test prep, book summaries, and many more. Some of the resources provided by Shmoop are free but to unlock all the features and content a premium subscription is required.

Enotes is another website to assist students with their homework. It offers precise summaries of books and Q&A services. Students can ask questions about books they have difficulty understanding and Enotes provides answers.

There are over 375.000 questions answered, over 30.000 book summaries, quizzes, lesson plans, study guides and many more. Enotes offers a 48-hour free trial after which you need to upgrade to unlock the site’s features.

9- Sparknotes

Another homework help website that is similar to Enotes. Sparknotes offers study guides that are mostly (but not exclusively) focused on literature. Other subjects covered include: Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Math, History, Psychology, Philosophy, Sociology, and many more.

Teachers can also access materials to help them with the teaching of classic literature including lesson plans and several other customizable materials. Sparknotes offers the first month for free then you need to upgrade to access the site’s materials.

10- Khan Academy

Khan Academy is another very good platform students can use to access a plethora of educational resources covering different subject areas. The site offers tutorials, instructional videos, explainers, guides, lesson plans and many more.

Final thoughts

The landscape of education has been significantly altered by technology, and homework websites are no exception. They offer a range of features—from collaboration tools and assignment trackers to full-fledged courses—that are changing the way students engage with their studies. Whether it’s Khan Academy’s mastery learning approach or Chegg’s expert guidance, each platform brings its unique offerings to the table.

That being said, no homework website can replace the tactile experience of a teacher’s guidance, and not all are made equal. As with anything in the educational tech world, it’s crucial to critically evaluate the sources we rely on. In my experience, while some websites can indeed be lifesavers during crunch time or as complementary study aids, others can be more of a distraction than a help.

Listen: we know homework isn’t fun, but it is a good way to reinforce the ideas and concepts you’ve learned in class. But what if you’re really struggling with your homework assignments?

If you’ve looked online for a little extra help with your take-home assignments, you’ve probably stumbled across websites claiming to provide the homework help and answers students need to succeed . But can homework help sites really make a difference? And if so, which are the best homework help websites you can use?

Below, we answer these questions and more about homework help websites–free and paid. We’ll go over:

  • The basics of homework help websites
  • The cost of homework help websites
  • The five best homework websites out there
  • The pros and cons of using these websites for homework help
  • The line between “learning” and “cheating” when using online homework help
  • Tips for getting the most out of a homework help website

So let’s get started!

The Basics About Homework Help Websites–Free and Paid

Homework help websites are designed to help you complete your homework assignments, plain and simple.

What Makes a Homework Help Site Worth Using

Most of the best sites allow users to ask questions and then provide an answer (or multiple possible answers) and explanation in seconds. In some instances, you can even send a photo of a particular assignment or problem instead of typing the whole thing out!

Homework help sites also offer more than just help answering homework questions. Common services provided are Q&A with experts, educational videos, lectures, practice tests and quizzes, learning modules, math solving tools, and proofreading help. Homework help sites can also provide textbook solutions (i.e. answers to problems in tons of different textbooks your school might be using), one-on-one tutoring, and peer-to-peer platforms that allow you to discuss subjects you’re learning about with your fellow students.

And best of all, nearly all of them offer their services 24/7, including tutoring!

What You Should Should Look Out For

When it comes to homework help, there are lots–and we mean lots –of scam sites out there willing to prey on desperate students. Before you sign up for any service, make sure you read reviews to ensure you’re working with a legitimate company.

A word to the wise: the more a company advertises help that veers into the territory of cheating, the more likely it is to be a scam. The best homework help websites are going to help you learn the concepts you’ll need to successfully complete your homework on your own. (We’ll go over the difference between “homework help” and “cheating” a little later!)

body-gold-piggy-bank-money

You don't need a golden piggy bank to use homework help websites. Some provide low or no cost help for students like you!

How Expensive Are the Best Homework Help Websites?

First of all, just because a homework help site costs money doesn’t mean it’s a good service. Likewise, just because a homework help website is free doesn’t mean the help isn’t high quality. To find the best websites, you have to take a close look at the quality and types of information they provide!

When it comes to paid homework help services, the prices vary pretty widely depending on the amount of services you want to subscribe to. Subscriptions can cost anywhere from $2 to $150 dollars per month, with the most expensive services offering several hours of one-on-one tutoring with a subject expert per month.

The 5 Best Homework Help Websites

So, what is the best homework help website you can use? The answer is that it depends on what you need help with.

The best homework help websites are the ones that are reliable and help you learn the material. They don’t just provide answers to homework questions–they actually help you learn the material.

That’s why we’ve broken down our favorite websites into categories based on who they’re best for . For instance, the best website for people struggling with math might not work for someone who needs a little extra help with science, and vice versa.

Keep reading to find the best homework help website for you!

Best Free Homework Help Site: Khan Academy

  • Price: Free!
  • Best for: Practicing tough material

Not only is Khan Academy free, but it’s full of information and can be personalized to suit your needs. When you set up your account , you choose which courses you need to study, and Khan Academy sets up a personal dashboard of instructional videos, practice exercises, and quizzes –with both correct and incorrect answer explanations–so you can learn at your own pace.

As an added bonus, it covers more course topics than many other homework help sites, including several AP classes.

Runner Up: Brainly.com offers a free service that allows you to type in questions and get answers and explanations from experts. The downside is that you’re limited to two answers per question and have to watch ads.

Best Paid Homework Help Site: Chegg

  • Price: $14.95 to $19.95 per month
  • Best for: 24/7 homework assistance

This service has three main parts . The first is Chegg Study, which includes textbook solutions, Q&A with subject experts, flashcards, video explanations, a math solver, and writing help. The resources are thorough, and reviewers state that Chegg answers homework questions quickly and accurately no matter when you submit them.

Chegg also offers textbook rentals for students who need access to textbooks outside of their classroom. Finally, Chegg offers Internship and Career Advice for students who are preparing to graduate and may need a little extra help with the transition out of high school.

Another great feature Chegg provides is a selection of free articles geared towards helping with general life skills, like coping with stress and saving money. Chegg’s learning modules are comprehensive, and they feature solutions to the problems in tons of different textbooks in a wide variety of subjects.

Runner Up: Bartleby offers basically the same services as Chegg for $14.99 per month. The reason it didn’t rank as the best is based on customer reviews that say user questions aren’t answered quite as quickly on this site as on Chegg. Otherwise, this is also a solid choice!

body-photomath-logo-2

Best Site for Math Homework Help: Photomath

  • Price: Free (or $59.99 per year for premium services)
  • Best for: Explaining solutions to math problems

This site allows you to t ake a picture of a math problem, and instantly pulls up a step-by-step solution, as well as a detailed explanation of the concept. Photomath also includes animated videos that break down mathematical concepts to help you better understand and remember them.

The basic service is free, but for an additional fee you can get extra study tools and learn additional strategies for solving common math problems.

Runner Up: KhanAcademy offers in-depth tutorials that cover complex math topics for free, but you won’t get the same tailored help (and answers!) that Photomath offers.

Best Site for English Homework Help: Princeton Review Academic Tutoring

  • Price: $40 to $153 per month, depending on how many hours of tutoring you want
  • Best for: Comprehensive and personalized reading and writing help

While sites like Grammarly and Sparknotes help you by either proofreading what you write via an algorithm or providing book summaries, Princeton Review’s tutors provide in-depth help with vocabulary, literature, essay writing and development, proofreading, and reading comprehension. And unlike other services, you’ll have the chance to work with a real person to get help.

The best part is that you can get on-demand English (and ESL) tutoring from experts 24/7. That means you can get help whenever you need it, even if you’re pulling an all-nighter!

This is by far the most expensive homework site on this list, so you’ll need to really think about what you need out of a homework help website before you commit. One added benefit is that the subscription covers over 80 other subjects, including AP classes, which can make it a good value if you need lots of help!

body-studtypool-logo

Best Site for STEM Homework Help: Studypool

  • Best for: Science homework help
  • Price: Varies; you’ll pay for each question you submit

When it comes to science homework help, there aren’t a ton of great resources out there. The best of the bunch is Studypool, and while it has great reviews, there are some downsides as well.

Let’s start with the good stuff. Studypool offers an interesting twist on the homework help formula. After you create a free account, you can submit your homework help questions, and tutors will submit bids to answer your questions. You’ll be able to select the tutor–and price point–that works for you, then you’ll pay to have your homework question answered. You can also pay a small fee to access notes, lectures, and other documents that top tutors have uploaded.

The downside to Studypool is that the pricing is not transparent . There’s no way to plan for how much your homework help will cost, especially if you have lots of questions! Additionally, it’s not clear how tutors are selected, so you’ll need to be cautious when you choose who you’d like to answer your homework questions.

What Are the Pros and Cons of Using Homework Help Sites?

Homework help websites can be a great resource if you’re struggling in a subject, or even if you just want to make sure that you’re really learning and understanding topics and ideas that you’re interested in. But, there are some possible drawbacks if you don’t use these sites responsibly.

We’ll go over the good–and the not-so-good–aspects of getting online homework help below.

3 Pros of Using Homework Help Websites

First, let’s take a look at the benefits.

#1: Better Grades Beyond Homework

This is a big one! Getting outside help with your studies can improve your understanding of concepts that you’re learning, which translates into better grades when you take tests or write essays.

Remember: homework is designed to help reinforce the concepts you learned in class. If you just get easy answers without learning the material behind the problems, you may not have the tools you need to be successful on your class exams…or even standardized tests you’ll need to take for college.

#2: Convenience

One of the main reasons that online homework help is appealing is because it’s flexible and convenient. You don’t have to go to a specific tutoring center while they’re open or stay after school to speak with your teacher. Instead, you can access helpful resources wherever you can access the internet, whenever you need them.

This is especially true if you tend to study at off hours because of your extracurriculars, work schedule, or family obligations. Sites that offer 24/7 tutoring can give you the extra help you need if you can’t access the free resources that are available at your school.

#3: Variety

Not everyone learns the same way. Maybe you’re more of a visual learner, but your teacher mostly does lectures. Or maybe you learn best by listening and taking notes, but you’re expected to learn something just from reading the textbook .

One of the best things about online homework help is that it comes in a variety of forms. The best homework help sites offer resources for all types of learners, including videos, practice activities, and even one-on-one discussions with real-life experts.

This variety can also be a good thing if you just don’t really resonate with the way a concept is being explained (looking at you, math textbooks!).

body_stophand

Not so fast. There are cons to homework help websites, too. Get to know them below!

3 Cons of Using Homework Help Websites

Now, let’s take a look at the drawbacks of online homework help.

#1: Unreliable Info

This can be a real problem. In addition to all the really good homework help sites, there are a whole lot of disreputable or unreliable sites out there. The fact of the matter is that some homework help sites don’t necessarily hire people who are experts in the subjects they’re talking about. In those cases, you may not be getting the accurate, up-to-date, and thorough information you need.

Additionally, even the great sites may not be able to answer all of your homework questions. This is especially true if the site uses an algorithm or chatbot to help students…or if you’re enrolled in an advanced or college-level course. In these cases, working with your teacher or school-provided tutors are probably your best option.

#2: No Clarification

This depends on the service you use, of course. But the majority of them provide free or low-cost help through pre-recorded videos. Watching videos or reading info online can definitely help you with your homework… but you can’t ask questions or get immediate feedback if you need it .

#3: Potential For Scamming

Like we mentioned earlier, there are a lot of homework help websites out there, and lots of them are scams. The review comments we read covered everything from outdated or wrong information, to misleading claims about the help provided, to not allowing people to cancel their service after signing up.

No matter which site you choose to use, make sure you research and read reviews before you sign up–especially if it’s a paid service!

body-cheat-cheating-cc0

When Does “Help” Become “Cheating”?

Admittedly, whether using homework help websites constitutes cheating is a bit of a grey area. For instance, is it “help” when a friend reads your essay for history class and corrects your grammar, or is it “cheating”? The truth is, not everyone agrees on when “help” crosses the line into “cheating .” When in doubt, it can be a good idea to check with your teacher to see what they think about a particular type of help you want to get.

That said, a general rule of thumb to keep in mind is to make sure that the assignment you turn in for credit is authentically yours . It needs to demonstrate your own thoughts and your own current abilities. Remember: the point of every homework assignment is to 1) help you learn something, and 2) show what you’ve learned.

So if a service answers questions or writes essays for you, there’s a good chance using it constitutes cheating.

Here’s an example that might help clarify the difference for you. Brainstorming essay ideas with others or looking online for inspiration is “help” as long as you write the essay yourself. Having someone read it and give you feedback about what you need to change is also help, provided you’re the one that makes the changes later.

But copying all or part of an essay you find online or having someone write (or rewrite) the whole thing for you would be “cheating.” The same is true for other subjects. Ultimately, if you’re not generating your own work or your own answers, it’s probably cheating.

5 Tips for Finding the Best Homework Help Websites for You

Now that you know some of our favorite homework help websites, free and paid, you can start doing some additional research on your own to decide which services might work best for you! Here are some top tips for choosing a homework help website.

Tip 1: Decide How You Learn Best

Before you decide which site or sites you’re going to use for homework help, y ou should figure out what kind of learning style works for you the most. Are you a visual learner? Then choose a site that uses lots of videos to help explain concepts. If you know you learn best by actually doing tasks, choose a site that provides lots of practice exercises.

Tip 2: Determine Which Subjects You Need Help With

Just because a homework help site is good overall doesn’t mean that it’s equally good for every subject. If you only need help in math, choose a site that specializes in that area. But if history is where you’re struggling, a site that specializes in math won’t be much help. So make sure to choose a site that you know provides high-quality help in the areas you need it most.

Tip 3: Decide How Much One-On-One Help You Need

This is really about cost-effectiveness. If you learn well on your own by reading and watching videos, a free site like Khan Academy is a good choice. But if you need actual tutoring, or to be able to ask questions and get personalized answers from experts, a paid site that provides that kind of service may be a better option.

Tip 4: Set a Budget

If you decide you want to go with a paid homework help website, set a budget first . The prices for sites vary wildly, and the cost to use them can add up quick.

Tip 5: Read the Reviews

Finally, it’s always a good idea to read actual reviews written by the people using these homework sites. You’ll learn the good, the bad, and the ugly of what the users’ experiences have been. This is especially true if you intend to subscribe to a paid service. You’ll want to make sure that users think it’s worth the price overall!

Man talks to a woman on a computer screen using an online learning platform.

Well... choosing the best virtual platform depends on several factors :

  • What age group are you teaching?
  • How many students do you have in your class?
  • Do you need to set up tutoring spaces for kids who need extra help?

There are several things to consider before choosing a platform that is right for your students

One of the best ways to determine the right platform for you is to create a list of must-haves . Compare the list against each virtual platform's features and benefits. From there, you'll be able to settle on the best platform for your students.

Our digital world opens up a staggering number of virtual classrooms to choose from. Each platform has their own unique advantages. Like everything else, there are limitations to consider.

But what happens when virtual classrooms do not meet all student needs? It is important to point out several caveats associated with virtual classrooms:

  • Teacher compensation and workload require restructuring
  • Students may lose interest in completing homework assignments
  • Educators should be mindful of how student data is collected and stored
  • Students miss their friends and the social interaction they received at school
  • Technological limitations may exist especially for kids from low-income families
  • It is not always easy to prevent unwanted visitors from entering a virtual classroom
  • Unstable enrollment as restrictions lift and students attend traditional classrooms vs. virtual learning
  • Problems with internet access could prevent students from logging into classes and missing important lessons
  • Other limitations include length of each session and the number of participants allowed to enter the virtual classroom (this isn't an issue for paid versions of some platforms)

Before choosing a virtual classroom, consider the pros and cons of each platform and how they may influence your students' learning experience.

There are several wonderful learning options available to educational institutions and teachers. A little research will help you arrive at the best decision for your students!

Virtual learning is changing education

Young student sits at a table and watches her teacher on the screen during virtual learning.

For every state and school district, there are different opinions on the future of virtual learning. Some say it's here to stay while others insist a physical classroom is the best way for kids to learn.

Here are a few key points to consider about the future of virtual classrooms:

  • Online courses offer flexibility and accessibility for everyone with internet access
  • Several platforms offer an extensive selection of programs and courses catered to different interests
  •  Most online learning resources are less expensive than traditional in-person classrooms and lecture halls, making virtual education more affordable

Although it’s hard to predict what online education will look like ten years from now, many online learning resources will be available in the near future. Online studies have become a great way to supplement traditional classroom learning.

Wikipedia is not always the best source of accurate information. But, it still deserves a mention. This site is great for doing initial research on your assignments. It gets you familiar with basic facts that you can build on.

One thing that may get you down in college? Referencing! Some courses will want you to use Harvard referencing, others MLA and some APA. Luckily, The Owl assists with that. They have tons of information on citing and the different methods you can use.

Google Drive

If you have a Gmail account then you probably already make use of Google Drive. But for those who are not, Google Drive is a free service that allows you to create, store and access files from anywhere. You’ll never have to worry about saving a paper and then losing it.

10 Best Educational Websites for Students That Make School Easier

websites for school assignments

Doing well in school takes more than intelligence and the motivation to learn. Being well-organized, taking notes in class, conducting proper research, and studying for exams are all required for academic success. And websites offering free technology tools can help with all of those tasks.

Technology can be especially effective in helping today’s students learn in school and at home according to Dr. Tracy Gray, managing director of American Institutes for Research (AIR). “As we’ve seen a continuing emergence of technology tools and resources,” Gray explains , “we’ve found that students, particularly those who are struggling, have benefited from their integration through the curriculum.”

Here are 10 websites to help students in both elementary and high school with note-taking, researching, studying, and writing papers.

Writing Papers

Mindmeister

Mindmeister combines the popular mind mapping concept with the ability to share ideas and collaborate with others via a word processing tool. For taking notes in class or writing an essay or research paper, mind mapping offers students a creative way to organize their thoughts. Mindmeister has a free, limited basic plan and a reduced-cost option for students.

Google Docs

A free online word processing tool, Google Docs has a collaborative feature for sharing work with team members for a group project, and it is especially helpful for writing essays and research papers. With a right click on any word, students can search the web for relevant info that will appear in a column to the right of their paper. This can reduce internet distractions and keep them on task. And if they choose to quote or reference what they’ve found, it’s quick and easy to create a footnote by clicking “Cite” at the bottom of the searched link.

This free online application offers an easy way for students to access citations and create bibliographies for their papers, which will be properly formatted in the style they choose. Formatted citations are available in APA, Chicago, Harvard, MLA, and Vancouver styles. EasyBib and Ottobib provide similar citation searches.

Taking Notes

Providing free and premium versions, Evernote is a great way for students to keep their class notes and information organized . By setting up notebooks in Evernote for each class, they can keep all their notes in one place and sync them with their phone, computer, and the web. It is easy to add class emails and scanned handouts to the same notebook to keep everything for that class in one place, and it is all searchable within Evernote.

Simple Note

As the name implies, Simple Note offers an easy way for students to jot down notes and easily access them from any device. It has a search and tagging function that make it easy for students to find their notes later, no more searching through notebooks or losing papers. As with other applications, Simple Note allows for sharing and collaboration among classmates. And it’s free!

These days, much of the research that school students are doing is on the web, but they still might want to highlight the info and take notes in the margin, just as they can with textbooks. That is where Diigo comes in. It provides a way to use a digital highlighter and sticky notes on any web page that will stay there on future visits. Students can share the pages with others and save and organize their research.

Quizlet is an effective studying tool students can use to help them memorize facts and concepts using aids such as digital flashcards, which students can create themselves or use those made by other students. The site covers a variety of subjects, including languages, math, and science. According to Quizlet, “90% of students who use Quizlet report higher grades.”

Researching

Digital Public Library of America

One visit to the Digital Public Library of America site will give students the vast cultural and informational offerings of this country’s libraries, archives, and museums. The site features files, images, virtual exhibits, and unique artifacts that are sure to add that something extra to any research paper or report.

This site is light on graphics but heavy on information. It offers a number of reference resources all on one menu page, including search engines, directories, current news features, weather resources, and even stock info. Plus, students will find an extensive collection of almanacs, biographies, calculators, dictionaries, maps, and encyclopedias.

Live Binders

This free online tool allows students to create virtual binders to keep their resources organized for school. It also offers collaborating and sharing functionality so students can work together with other classmates. Students, as well as parents and educators, can create a binder for a specific topic and then collect and organize all their web resources and links in one easy to find place.

If your student learns and studies better using technology, he or she may be a good candidate for online learning . K12 uses digital technology to provide a rigorous, interactive curriculum and high-quality educational experiences that give students an opportunity to succeed. The classroom is in the home or on the road, wherever an internet connection is available. Students learn via a combination of online lessons, interactive activities, and virtual classroom sessions. The online environment and the one-to-one support can be more effective for many students. Learn more at K12.com.

Finding effective ways to stay organized with technology and complete school assignments is an important part of being a successful student. Take advantage of the free web tools for students to help your children do their best this school year. Please let us know in the comments section below about any resources that you’ve found helpful.

I enjoy writing assignments on psychology because I can learn a lot of new things about myself. Sometimes, I even recognize behaviors described in books. However last week, when my parents went away on business and left me with my 10-year-old brother, I couldn’t do my own writing. Thank God this service is always here to help.

I never understood how someone I’d never met in person could complete my paper based on my ideas and do it so perfectly! Yet that’s what you guys did! The expert I worked with demonstrated a deep understanding of political science that surpassed my expectations. I now have more faith in assignment writing help than ever before.

I used to believe that writing services were operated by bots, hence I never considered using them. However, when I submitted my prompt here, I was surprised to receive a quick and detailed response from your team. It gave me confidence that I was looking at the real thing. I was not disappointed when I got the final paper as it helped me score a straight A.

Being a student is a tall order. There are so many responsibilities to take care of. I remember being in my second year and wondering if there would ever be a time when I would have to delegate. And then that time came. Now that I have Assignment Geek by my side, using it makes me wonder if I will ever do my own writing, hahaha.

Here’s my feedback on your service. The writing was excellent with detailed, original, and up todate arguments. You provided compelling examples and references from relevant authors. It's probably the best term paper I could have hoped for from someone I don't know. I hope my future assignments with you will be just as good!

The expert you provided for my dissertation is fantastic! Seeing him work so hard was the best motivation booster. He has a master's degree in philosophy, and it was vital for me to have that kind of writer on my paper. I appreciate your fantastic service and the pleasure of working with you. Sorry for being a bit emotional.

I appreciate your help with my essay. I wrote it myself and I must say it was a challenge. I didn’t have access to a reliable writing service at the time. Once I discovered this website I decided to bring my paper here. So glad I did. I believe hearing a professional opinion and advice is essential when submitting academic work.

Thank you, thank you!! Your little service is terrific! I gave out only a few details. Surprisingly you produced a full bodied piece of writing precisely like my teacher wanted! I wonder if all your experts are this good and professional. I’ll use your service again so that you can take care of my other assignments.

Oh well I'm not a big fan of writing long reviews but Assignment Geek com is definitely worth breaking this habit. OK, it’s a good company, I liked it a lot. It has a lot of cool things to offer besides the writing services It provides. Their experts can tackle various projects things like business plans, terms papers and essays

Is Getting Help with Assignments Unethical?

asking for an assignment help wrong, you ask? Perish the thought! Look, we all know that writing the assignment on your own and never asking for help is ideal. There are times when it simply isn’t realistic, though.

Assignments aren’t always easy. Some students might struggle with assignments because they’re not fast readers like the rest of the class. Others may have jobs or family responsibilities they need to take care of. The time and energy to dedicate to school assignments may not always be there, much as you would like it to be.

If you ask AssignmentGeek for help, we can do your work for you, and then you can mimic our techniques the next time you write a paper. You can look at the essays you get back as learning tools to enhance your academic skills. We feel there’s nothing wrong with that.

Real-World Examples of Our Service in Action

There are tons of real examples of students who benefitted from assignment help. Some were dubious about getting professional help for assignments, but when they did, they passed at the head of their classes. The assignment assistance from our service was what it took for them to get hired at high-paying jobs right out of college.

Those who couldn’t have written an assignment on their own got the help they needed, and they didn’t just pass their classes. They also learned to manage their time better and navigated heavy course loads. Other students who couldn’t have written an assignment for their most challenging classes were able to learn complex skills by studying the finished paper their professional writer gave back to them.

Other students who don’t speak or write English as their first language have been able to benefit from our services. Just because you’re not a native speaker, that doesn’t mean you should have to dedicate twice as much effort to your assignments as someone who is.

You can feel sure you’re getting a paper that a real human being wrote, so you’re in no danger of your professor calling you out for using a chatbot. The insights and the quality of the writing you’ll notice with each paper you get back proves it was written by a flesh-and-blood member of the writing staff.

Websites that Pay You to Do Homework

Remember when you were younger, and you absolutely  loathed  doing homework? Well, thanks to the internet, you may just loathe it a little less now. And that’s because — as this is the internet we’re talking about — you can get paid to do homework for other people all from the  comfort of your home  (and behind your PC screen).

If this sounds like a great way to  make some extra money on the side , and if you’ve got the brains for it, then why not give it a go?

Check out these 20 great tutoring websites to get started!

1. OneClass

OneClass - tutoring website that offers homework help

OneClass  doesn’t just pay you to do people’s homework with its Homework Help solution, but the company also pays you to share your study notes with other university students taking the same courses as you. In other words, you get paid to go to class and do homework, too!

OneClass’s system is credit-based. You earn 25 credits for every approved document you upload (75 if you’re an Elite Note Taker), which can be redeemed for gift cards to popular retailers like Amazon , Starbucks and Domino’s, or even for cash. You can even earn credits by earning badges and referring friends to join OneClass. And the best part is that it’s available to people who have finished university , too; you don’t have to be a current student to take part!

2. Tutor.com

Tutor.com website - promotes student success by offering homework help to students

Tutor.com  is a fully  online tutoring service  which comprises a network of  certified teachers , college professors, graduate students and professionals with master’s degrees, PhDs and Ivy League credentials who are experts in their fields.

The whole application process can take anywhere between one and three weeks. Once your application has been accepted, you’ll be invited to take (and pass) an exam in 1 of their 21 high-demanding subjects (including physics, maths, business law and essay writing). You’ll then have to participate in a mock session and undergo a background check, after which you’ll be able to start tutoring students of all ages and help them with their homework. Hourly rates are dictated by the subject you teach.

Skooli is a tutoring website that caters to students of all ages, from elementary school through to high school and college.

Whether you prefer to plan ahead, work on an as-needed basis , or leverage a combination of these two approaches is entirely up to you. Lessons can be as short as 15 minutes if a student is just popping in to get help with one particular problem they need to solve.

The requirements for signing up are pretty straightforward: you need to have a clear criminal record and to have graduated from an accredited university.

Spires tutoring website

Spires provides assistance to students of any age, from primary schoolers to college students and beyond. The hourly rate for elementary and secondary education help starts at $25 , while for undergrad and graduate level it starts at $35. There is also a service for tutoring professionals, for example to earn their chartered qualifications, that can pay over $50 an hour .

If you can teach a topic at any of these levels, whether that’s one of the arts , humanities, or sciences, you can easily apply to become a tutor through the Spires website.

Final thoughts

This is just a selection of the best websites that pay you to help students do their homework. A quick Google search will come up with many more, and remember there are other ways you can make an extra income, including  Swagbucks  and  Survey Junkie , where you get paid to answer surveys, fun trivia questions and daily polls.

Whichever websites you choose to boost your income, make sure you do your research (particularly when it comes to payment methods and frequency, overall brand reputation, and specific terms and conditions).

Have you found another website that pays to do others’ homework? Let us know in the comments!

6 Homework Apps to Help Keep You Organized

homework apps

Managing everything you have to do as a student can seem like a full-time job. With so many classes, activities, club meetings, and homework assignments thrown at you every day, it can be very overwhelming to keep track of it all.

Luckily, there are some great homework apps you can install on your phone or tablet that can help you know what classes you have coming up each day and stay on top of all of your assignments.

Here are six of our favorites. We hope these help you stay organized all year long!

Although the myHomework app supports traditional school schedules as well as block schedules, it does not support alternating block schedules, so if you have an A/B schedule, this is probably not the app for you.

  • My Study Life This app is a full-fledged homework management app with its own web application, which is awesome because you can check your assignments from your computer or your phone. Plus, the calendar view shows all of your classes and assignments at the same time, and it shows you incomplete tasks that are due soon so you know what to work on first. The design is unique, too, with circles showing what percentage of a task is completed and how much more you have to go. Available for: iPhone, Android, Windows 8, Windows Phone and the web. Requires iOS 8.0 or later. Cost: Free

Another cool feature is that you can organize all of your assignments by date, course or priority, and you can sort them by pending and completed as well. Other bonus features include the ability to add contact info for all of your teachers and the ability to enter your grades so you can track how your GPA is doing.

Unfortunately, none of the apps listed above will actually do your homework for you — that part’s still up to you — but at least they’ll make it more likely that you’ll get it finished on-time and stress-free.

The organization was established over 50 years ago and works “to change the trajectory of high-potential Black youth by providing unique programming in the classroom and beyond.” Their scholars complete a four-year fellowship that includes academic enrichment, leadership development, career exposure, mentoring and college access.

Students must maintain a grade point average near 3.0 to remain in good standing with the organization — a bar the organization sets knowing full well that access to scholarships and grants for college will be the only way that most of its students can afford to go. Not all students meet this threshold despite mentoring from caring adults and strong support from administrative staff. Thus additional academic supports are needed.

Over many years, EE provided programs to help get students back on track if they started to flounder and to establish academic habits that put them on a trajectory for success. We started by offering weekly group tutoring events at the organization’s facility that not only helped students with homework completion and exam prep but also provided lessons on learning strategies, goal setting, and self-advocacy. However, traveling to the facility after school was a burden for some scholars, so EE tutors also met students at libraries and other public locations to provide support in specific subject areas where students requested help. Year after year we met with administrators and added additional resources: a summer school study skills workshop for freshmen and final exam prep workshops for all grade levels. Our unique array of programs allowed the organization to support their scholars at every stage of their academic journey.

The mission of the organization is to fight for economic mobility among highly motivated, first-generation college students by providing mentoring and intensive career development. The agency was founded on the belief that socioeconomic status should not be a barrier to college persistence and career success.

Their staff found that many of their participants were struggling with writing assignments of all sorts in college. From essays in English class to writing cover letters for potential summer internships, many students were not effective writers. The organization provided various career development workshops throughout the academic year, but they lacked a writer’s workshop to specifically address this area of weakness.

We met with program managers and the executive director to discuss their students’ needs and what type of program would be beneficial. The Writer’s Practice Workshop was an ideal fit for them. The course allowed students to understand that everyone is a writer even if they don’t think of themselves as such. Over the course of four sessions students assessed their own writing process; discussed the tools of a good writer’s practice; considered the audience, purpose, and the needs of any piece; and produced writing on topics that were important to them. Students left the workshop with a greater understanding of how to start assignments and follow steps to revise, edit, and polish for best results, giving them confidence in their writing.

The organization’s mission is to provide opportunities for underserved youth to achieve academic and personal success via financial, educational and personal support during their high school years. They provide tuition assistance to attend a high-quality school along with the guidance and commitment of caring, adult mentors. They aim to serve an often overlooked segment: academically “average” students from the city’s most challenging and underserved neighborhoods.

Program staff wanted to help their students prepare for final exams and train mentors to more effectively support students in their exam prep efforts. Volunteer mentors were available to give support, but the organization lacked a consistent approach on how best to help students and make them better learners.

EE met with program administrators and board members to plan and implement a Final Exams Workshop in the lead-up to final exams. The 3-hour workshop was attended by students and their mentors on a Saturday morning. The curriculum helped students create DIY study guides for any class, plan a study schedule, prioritize final exams by difficulty and need, assess and discuss their strengths and weaknesses in regards to learning strategies, and share with peers their successes or concerns. We also facilitated a conversation between mentors and mentees as to how they could best support their students in the coming weeks. Students and mentors left the workshop with a blueprint for attacking finals week in the most efficient way — a plan they could use for high school and college.

The organization supported immigrants and their families by connecting women from over 60 countries who share a dedication to the pursuit of global understanding and universal human rights. As part of their philanthropic arm, the organization supported a local elementary school they had identified as highly diverse with a large number of immigrant students. Before engaging EE, the organization relied mostly on volunteers to provide reading support to students during school hours.

After discussions with the organization and the school principal, teachers, families, and other stakeholders, we developed a school year calendar of after school programs that would help students develop the skills needed to succeed in elementary school and beyond. We provided courses for grades 5-8 in the spring and fall, greatly expanding the enrichment opportunities the NFP was able to provide. In doing so, we developed a close relationship with the school administration and their teaching staff, who saw the positive impact the program was having on their students. Additionally, the NFP was able to expand their mission to areas where they saw a great need: improving study skills, raising test scores, and increasing access to high school opportunities for immigrant youth.

A scholarship foundation funded by a suburban country club was disappointed with the caliber of student who typically applied for their college scholarship offerings. Knowing that the skills needed for success in college must be cultivated from an early age, they wanted to establish a summer enrichment program for students entering 9th and 10th grade that would serve as an early intervention and better position the pool of applicants when the time came a few years later to apply for the college scholarships.

We collaborated with the foundation to identify areas of strength and weakness in their applicant pool and listened to their personal beliefs about what it takes to succeed in college. With that understanding, we customized a version of the Summer Learners’ Workshop that lays the foundation for college-level skills and caters to the learning styles and academic backgrounds of the particular students at this organization.

The resulting program has gained a reputation as one of the top summer enrichment experiences in that community with parents routinely reporting that the results exceeded their expectations. The program is now attended by an even wider array of students than those who were first targeted by the foundation.

A charter school network was seeking to implement a test prep program across eight campuses to prepare their 8th grade students for the Chicago Public Schools selective enrollment entrance exam. The high school admissions process is highly competitive, and it was the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic when students were learning from home. The schools did not have expert knowledge about the contents of the test, and finding staff at their schools to cover a program outside of school hours would be challenging. Administrators knew how competitive the admissions process was and that even their strongest students were not guaranteed a spot. For equity, they wanted to offer the course to all of their students – even those who were very unlikely to be admitted to a selective enrollment school.

Given the wide array of students, the EE team worked with individual school counselors to create ability groupings, determine a process for reporting attendance, progress, and behavior issues, and create a curriculum that would be effective in a remote learning model. We knew that remote engagement for an after school program would be a challenge, so we incorporated competitive team games, a leaderboard of accomplishments, and other incentives to encourage maximum participation. EE provided all management and instructional staffing to deliver the test prep course successfully while freeing up teachers and counselors at the charter school to focus on their daily workload. Students received a robust course focused on strategies, practice tests, and concept review that put them in the best position to maximize their potential on test day.

A leading scholarship fund that provides financial assistance for highly qualified, low-income students knew that financial aid alone would be insufficient to ensure their students’ success at rigorous private and parochial high schools. Therefore, they sought an intensive summer program to prepare scholars for what lay ahead.

EE worked with the organization to determine the biggest challenges scholars would face. We landed on a wide array of non-cognitive skills that are not necessarily taught in middle school: time management, organization, self-advocacy, focus, growth mindset, etc. Inspired by this challenge, we developed our Ideal Student Workshop, which would later become the basis for our Learners’ Workshop.

Over a decade later we are still delivering the program to students at this scholarship fund and others. The program works to develop the three dimensions of successful students: character, learning strategies and habits. We update the program yearly to keep up with changes in student needs and the educational landscape. Our fun and research-based curriculum continues to be a popular summer bridge for various organizations.

A prominent sports-based youth development organization wanted to improve one of the core elements of their program: providing educational enrichment programs to their participants.

Their goal was to offer a continuum of services for 9th-12th graders that would support students in their schoolwork, provide a pathway to college, and create a culture of learning amongst players. EE was uniquely positioned to offer a variety of services to meet this need: private tutoring, study skills classes, writing courses, high school admissions test prep, SAT/ACT prep, and college readiness seminars. We listened to the players, parents, and other stakeholders to determine which programs were most effective, established expectations for participants, and decided on the best timing and format to deliver the courses.

Since 2017 we have successfully delivered these services allowing their administrative team to focus on their primary coaching responsibilities. Ultimately, the best praise we have received is that we have provided a wide circle of caring adults to support students academically and emotionally and that we have listened to their needs and adapted our offerings to suit their participants.

School website design showing a girl carrying books

As in-person lessons start again and schools, administrators, students and parents reenter the school year, they’re changing the way they teach, communicate and interact daily. This is thanks to a newfound relationship with technology after several school years of remote or hybrid learning. For example, while school websites were once strictly informational, they now play an essential part in the academic experience, opening doors for effective information distribution and streamlined enrollment processes.

Whatever type of educational institution you’re a part of—whether it’s informal or formal, virtual or classroom-based, primary or higher learning—a good school website will educate and inform visitors. In this article, we’ll show you how to make a website for school with an A+ design, going over the benefits of having one, along with guidelines and examples.

Create the perfect site for you with Wix's website builder .

What is a school website?

A school website has two essential functions. The first is an online database for current students, parents and faculty. The second is a showcase of the school at its best to encourage prospective students and parents to enroll.

The best school websites instill a sense of pride in their community, while communicating a curriculum, list of activities and educational approach to its visitors. Of course, designing a school website requires time and effort—but it’s well worth it.

Benefits of a school website

Let’s touch on some of the benefits of c reating a school website.

Make a good impression

Prospective students and parents will visit your website to browse your school’s academic program, extracurricular activities, notable awards and so on. Presenting a positive first impression of your school’s culture and achievements will help you boost enrollment.

Keep parents and students informed

Schools usually include important announcements and events like PTA nights or webinars on their website as a seamless way to keep parents, students and teachers informed. Amidst their busy schedules, school members appreciate regular updates, calendars and notifications—all of which can be easily accessed online.

Make administration easier

With all the incredible web design features available, school websites can make administrative tasks more efficient and paper-free. Teachers can assign homework, post grades and even facilitate exams online, and parents can enroll, register and pay tuition with convenient forms and payment tools.

Encourage community involvement

You can also place video classes, events and discussions directly on your school website to help bridge the gap if school is closed or a student/parent can’t attend in person.

Live streaming events can also increase the participation and frequency of these happenings. Plus, to further harness your community’s involvement, you can create a forum for parents, students and teachers—facilitating an online discussion where they can address school-related topics.

Pro tip: Wix Tomorrow offers meaningful learning and creating experiences at every stage of a young learner’s web creation journey, from creating a first website, to learning industry-standard skills, to making real-world impact with hands-on projects.

How to design a school website

The goal of school website design is to achieve the right balance of professionalism, functionality and appeal. While reflecting your school’s values and spirit with attractive visual elements, your website should be informative and seamless to navigate. Let’s have a look at some key design elements to keep in mind, as you create a school website of your own:

Make it professional

Tell your school’s story

Add high quality images and videos

Create a membership area

Include a calendar of events

Make it mobile friendly

01. Make it professional

Visitors of all technological-abilities will appreciate a user-friendly site that brings them directly to the information they need. Your school website should present a clear map for students and their parents.

Add a website navigation menu that outlines the sections of your site and what type of information will be found there. This should guide parents of both prospective students and already enrolled students—as well as the students and staff—to find what they’re looking for with ease.

Additional web design tips that will enhance your school website’s professional appearance include: clear language, strong calls to action and a visual hierarchy.

02. Tell your school’s story

Create a compelling About Us page that relates your school’s mission, accomplishments and upcoming programs to potential enrollees.

Be sure to distinguish your school from other academic institutions. Use strong, professional language and include imagery that gives visitors a taste of your school's unique atmosphere.

Take the lead from commercial brands and strengthen your school's brand identity by using a color scheme that reflects your school colors and adding a logo or images of your school’s mascot to the website.

Tip: Use a free logo maker to design a school logo.

03. Add high quality images and videos

Showcasing your school’s accomplishments requires sharing photos and videos of students, classrooms and events. Try adding a slideshow, incorporating images into your background, or adding a photo gallery. Just remember: You must have parental consent before displaying images of children online.

Keep in mind that whichever way you choose to exhibit your photos and videos, you should make sure to maximize their impact by using only high quality images.

04. Create a membership area

Gone are the days when dogs ate the homework and parents amassed collections of old report cards. Now, everything can be put online. By creating a password protected membership area, your school’s website can include an interactive space for teachers, registered students and parents.

This convenient and secured spot can be used to upload homework assignments and grades, establish parent-teacher forums, and so much more.

You can also add a forum (check out these best forum builders ) in order to keep your community members connected.

05. Include a calendar of events

The sheer amount of annual school events can be overwhelming—especially for working parents with tight schedules. Adding an online calendar will ensure that all school members have easy access to your academic year’s schedule of events. Sync it with the users’ Google calendars (or any other online agenda) so that you can send reminders to parents before the event and improve attendance.

06. Make it mobile friendly

Most people use a smartphone to browse the internet, so make sure your school website has a mobile-friendly version. Mobile web design for websites is easier than ever, and can help your website's performance. Not to mention, it will amplify your visitor’s experience.

school website project

Websites are a great way to go above and beyond for a school project. If you make a website, you take your assignment to a level, not like any other student. Thankfully for you, websites can be quite cheap and easy to set up if you’re willing to learn and put the time into it. Let’s discuss different kinds of websites you can make, and different ways you can go about making one.

What kind of school project website should you make?

If your school project is open-ended it can be difficult to figure out what kind of website to make. Heres a list of 5 ideas to get you started:

  • Create an online portfolio to display your student work. This is a great way to build upon and share existing art or science projects.
  • Have a website that walks through the steps of a science experiment that they conducted in class, or share the story behind the experiment.
  • Start a school newspaper or literary magazine with student contributors (you’ll want to use WordPress if you’re doing this one).
  • A website about a field trip that your class took.
  • A website promoting an upcoming event at your school.

For a more comprehensive list see the full list of school website project ideas .

How can I create a simple school project website?

There are plenty of ways you can go about making a website now-a-days, you can use a website builder, code it yourself, or even use a mix of both coding and visual page building. What one you decide to go with can help you choose what platform you want to use to make your website.

Hand-coding your website is a great way to learn a lot and show your dedication to a school project.

Using something like Squarespace is a great way of coming up with something simple to wow your school teacher without having to look at code.

Using something like WordPress can be a great mix between them both code and visual building.

Here’s what it would look like to go about making your website for a school project using those 3 different methods.

Using HTML and CSS to hand-code your website

  • This method will take 4-12 days to learn the basics of HTML and CSS and setup your website
  • It will take some technical skills to learn the 2 programming languages
  • Will result in a website that might not look that professional, but will demonstrate your skills and dedication. If you want your HTML website online with a live URL, you have to buy a domain and hosting. I recommend using BlueHost for hosting as its the cheapest and the most beginner-friendly platform. Otherwise, your website will work locally off of a USB or file folder. if opened through a web browser.

HTML and CSS are the basic programming languages of any website. When I first learned HTML and CSS, it was a very fun rewarding experience. In fact, I had learned it to make a website about the Peregrine Falcon for a school project myself.

To get started with learning HTML and CSS to build your first website, you first have to get a text editor. Notepad++ is probably the most popular to use when coding websites, but Sublime Text 3 is my personal favourite because of how nice it looks.

After getting an editor, let’s set up the website files.

  • Make a folder on your desktop and call it whatever you want.
  • Inside the folder, right-click and then click New > Rich Text Document (that’s on windows mac might be slightly different).
  • Then rename the file to index.html , it might have a popup asking are you sure about something and just click yes to confirm the name change.
  • Lastly, open that new HTML file in your new text editor so you can get started coding.

Next, you’ll want to start with a video. Videos are great for visual learners and following alongside when coding. Attentively, you can read through W3 Schools tutorial page by page, clicking the “next” button at the bottom to learn about HTML and CSS at your own pace.

Here’s a great video to get you started. If you want to search for something different you can just search for “html css tutorial” in YouTube.

After learning the basics and trying out some HTML code on your own, you should begin to plan out and wireframe your website . This is a mistake I always made when I first started, programming before a plan. If you do this your website will turn out ugly and nonsensical – your choice!

After a solid plan and wireframe begin making your website. This will take a lot of time and practice so be patient.

Here’s what my first website looked like when I was first learning:

html css website

Using SquareSpace to make your website

  • This method will take 2-4 days to learn Squarespace and set up the website
  • Squarespace doesn’t require any technical skills to make a website, but if you want the final website to be accessible by a live URL you’ll have to pay monthly (starting at $12 a month). Otherwise, you can use the 15-day free trial and sign into your website to show it off privately.
  • Will result in a professional and clean looking website

If you’re looking to set up a basic website as quickly as possible for a few bucks, Squarespace should be your #1.

To get started with SquareSpace make an account and then select the template/theme you want to start with.

squarespace website templates

Getting good with Squarespace is really about just using it for a couple of hours to get used to where everything is and how it works.

If you do choose to go with Squarespace, keep in mind its limited in the different kind of functionality your website can have. For example, do you want popups? Too bad! Want a slider? Not happening.

Do remember that Squarespace is only as good as text, images and some basic e-commerce features if needed, so keep that in mind when thinking about going with Squarespace.

Using WordPress to make your website

  • This method will take 4-8 days to learn and set up the website
  • WordPress itself is free but it will require you to pay for a domain and hosting. I recommend using BlueHost for hosting as its the cheapest and the most beginner-friendly platform. Or you can run it locally with XAMPP .
  • Will result in a professional-looking blog (or nice content-focused website if you put time into it). A great platform for blogging, having authors with articles

WordPress is the industry standard for making websites. This website (The Website Architect) is built using WordPress. With WordPress, you can make almost any website you can imagine without knowing any programming knowledge. With programming knowledge, you can take your WordPress website that much further.

There are 2 types of WordPress, wordpress.org , and wordpress.com . WordPress.com is kind of like Squarespace, with limited functionality, and pricing plans. WordPress.org is a free framework you can download (for free) to build your own super custom and limitless website .

You can use wordpress.com as an alternative to Squarespace for making a simple website, but if you use wordpress.org’s framework you website can be without limitations.

To start with wordpress.org you’ll need to buy a website domain and hosting to get your website online. It’s usually around $15 a year for a domain, and $3-$20 a month for hosting.

Once you get your hosting, you can install the WordPress framework with a click of a button in the hosting tools.

wordpress installer in siteground

After WordPress is installed go to Appearance > Themes and pick from one of the free theme templates. From there, it’s a matter of creating pages and posts to make the website you want. You can even install plugins which are little widgets or mini-programs that make your website have even more functionality and use.

If you don’t want to build and code your own WordPress them you can use a professionally built theme or browse around for some at Envato Market’s ThemeForest is the single best place to find the best WordPress themes .

WordPress is quite big so it will take time to learn and fully explore. WordPress being so popular, 9 times out of 10 if you google how to do something specific in WordPress there will be plenty of resources to help you out.
