Being a voracious traveller, I have travelled to many cities. Out of the long list, I have there is one city which I think is very interesting.

The name of the city is Thimpu, it is the capital of Bhutan, and it falls under Asia.

This city is famous for its clean and pristine environment. A sizeable number of tourists visit this place to relax under the arms of nature.

Being a travel enthusiast, I have this uncanny knack for visiting offbeat locations. While reading from Wikipedia , I gained information regarding Thimpu city. And to gain experience beyond the conventional domain, I have travelled to it umpteen times. 

Post industrialisation, most cities have massive infrastructure and uncontrolled pollution. However, Thimpu city is an exception.

Firstly this city doesn’t have much carbon footprint. And the reason for that is the natives of this place treat nature as god. According to them, saving the environment is akin to worship.

Apart from this, the city doesn’t have much hustle and bustle. People prefer to walk on foot rather than moving here and there on vehicles. Due to this reason, people living over have more patience as compared to the natives of other cities I have visited.

Moreover, the eatables available in the restaurants of Thimpu city are not only delicious but also healthy. The locals serve the food to the tourists in a consummate manner. The love and affection I have received from the people of this city are etched in my memories.

The world must have more such cities to make it a liveable place.

Introduction:

Being an avid traveller, I have visited numerous places. However, there is one city which I have found interesting.

It is in the middle east. The name of the city is Dubai, and it is the capital of the United Arab Emirates.

Dubai is famous for many things. The first and foremost is shopping . Millions of tourists come here to purchase fashionable clothing, gold, diamond and many other things.

The second famous thing in Dubai is the tallest tower named “Burj Khalifa”.This city has carved out a niche by displaying such a masterpiece. The city authorities have left no stone unturned to provide a world-class experience to the visitors to this tower.

The other major attraction in Dubai is the desert safari. Although I have done many off-roading tours in my life, this one is remarkable. The itinerary consists of many other features, and visitors get an opportunity to taste various mouth-watering delicacies from throughout the world.

I know this city because I have visited it umpteen times. Moreover, being a voracious reader, I have read numerous blogs and websites on it.

This city sounds interesting because it is the perfect epitome of perfection. The authorities have constructed a masterpiece in a barren land.

Moreover, the city boasts of its growing infrastructure. Earlier, this city developed due to oil reserves: however, now it is not at the mercy of its petroleum products. The development of this city has blessed it with numerous options to strengthen its economy.

Although I have visited numerous cities in my life, I have found one of them the most interesting.

The city name is Port Blair, and it is the capital of the Andaman and Nicobar islands. It is close to the Bay of Bengal and the Andaman Sea.

It is famous for numerous things. The most prominent place to see is ‘The Cellar Jail”.When Britishers had ruled India, they used this prison for the freedom fighters. The authorities organise a light and sound show every day to appraise the people about the atrocities done to the prisoners. I had a tear in my eyes after watching the show.

The other famous place in Portblair is Havelock Island, it is popular for Radhanagar beach that is among the top ten beaches in India.

I came to know about this city from the books. Moreover, I visited this place two years back during the summer holidays.

This place is interesting because it is different from other places for holidays. Although Portlblair has all the attributes of a good destination for a perfect vacation, it doesn’t have much hustle and bustle.

Moreover, the city has less carbon footprint because the residents focus on maintaining natural beauty. It was a fascination to see that no shopkeeper uses plastic bags. Furthermore, the drainage system of the city is world-class.

Finally, considering all the positives, I staunchly believe that Portbair is the most interesting city I have ever visited.

Two problems result from maintaining historical cities. First and foremost, it weakens the economy because the administration requires substantial funds, for the upkeep of the infrastructure.

Moreover, it causes inconvenience to the natives of that place. Sometimes they have to move to a different place because of government policies.

4. Do you think having too many tourists is a positive thing for historical attractions?

In my opinion, excess of everything is bad. There is no denying this conviction that having too many tourists could generate more revenue for the government and the locals. But it puts a burden on the city’s infrastructure, due to that the maintenance of historical attractions become a daunting task .

Moreover, it leads to more pollution that is detrimental for historical attractions.

5. What can we do to stop visitors from damaging historical places?

A few visitors have this uncanny knack for damaging historical places. To tame such miscreants, the higher authorities need to think beyond the conventional domain.

The first possible action that the government must take is to use technology to track the offenders. All the historical monuments should have CCTV surveillance. The benefit it serves is that it acts as a deterrent for the miscreants.

Moreover, authorities must frame stringent guidelines. Those who cause damage needs to be put behind the bars. Taking harsh steps would set the right precedent and refrain the offenders from doing damage.

6. Do you think too many tourists is a positive thing for historical attractions?

Havings two many tourists have both pros and cons. The pros are as follows:

• It generates revenue for the government and the locals. It helps both of them, as many businesses thrive primarily on tourism.
• It spreads awareness of the historical attractions throughout the world.

Some young people like to live in cities due to two reasons. Firstly cities provide too many sources of entertainment.

The elderly know the benefit of spending life in the arms of nature, that is why a large percentage of senior citizens live in the countryside.

The city in which I live is New Delhi. It is one of the most populated cities and is famous for its remarkable structures. Each day millions of tourists from around the world come and experience my city, its rich culture and brilliant architecture such as Qutub Minar, built by Qutb-Din-Aibak, Red Fort, etc. My city is of great historical importance too. It has been the centre of many previous empires and now it is the capital of India. I very much love my city and once I grow up and become a successful person, I would love to keep living in this city with my family and friends.

Essay on My City in 200 words

My city, New Delhi is the one where I was born and brought up. It is one of the busiest cities in the country. It is crowded and has a lot market places such as Lajpat Nagar, Sarojini Nagar, Connaught Place, etc. which have visitors in thousands daily.

Delhi is home to many recognised educational Institutions such as the University of Delhi which is known for its brilliant education and colleges such as Kirori Mal College, Miranda House, etc. Students from all over the country land their dream jobs and institutes in Delhi. Various MNCs such as Microsoft and Google have their offices in my city. Hence, a large population resides here and provides services.

However, one major drawback of living in my city would be the pollution. New Delhi is one of the most populated cities in the world because of all the developmental projects and construction projects being run at the same time. The morning and evening commute traffic adds to this on a major part as well. 

Since there are plenty of opportunities for individuals, people from all around the country relocate to Delhi and with them, they bring their own culture which adds to the diversity of my city.  Although I do wish that the government would be a little more conscious of the alarming pollution levels, I still love my city with all my heart.

My city, New Delhi, which I proudly call home, has been a centre of culture, trade, art, and architecture for centuries now. The population here is over 1 crore. New Delhi is situated on the banks of the Yamuna River. It has been more than 18 years that I have been living in this city. Now, since the population is very much, most of the people in Delhi live in apartments. Many highlights make my city one of the best in the country such as:-

A Heaven for Food Lovers

When you hear of Delhi, one of the most anticipated foods associated with it is the Parathas from the Paratha Gali of Chandni Chowk. Delhi is very much known for its food. Be it momos from the mom stands in Lajpat Nagar, or the Chicken from the chicken stalls of Jama Masjid, tourists and visitors from all around the country and the world come to taste the same. From roadside street food to lavish expensive restaurants, my city has it all.

Places to See

My city has many malls, cafes, parks and marketplaces to explore. All of these are flocked by visitors. It remains a big hustle and bustle city the whole day. It is an urban centre in its true sense.

New Delhi is home to a vast network of Metro which covers the entire NCR. it is one of the most effective public transportation systems and lakhs of people use the same on an everyday basis. 

One other public transport system includes travelling in buses which is a part of Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC).

Things I Love About Delhi

Some of the things that I love about my city are mentioned below:-

• I explored the different bazaars and many other places such as Connaught Place etc with my friends.
• One of the best of my city to visit is the Delhi Zoo. it has an amazing variety of animals of all kinds. My favourite animal in the zoo is the majestic lion. Also, I love watching different parrots there as well. They are so vibrant. 
• I love travelling by Metro, It’s fast, it’s clean, it’s affordable.

Although the pollution levels are alarming in my city, I still love it. It has so much more to offer and it’s a beautiful place to live. I have formed many memories here and will continue to do so in the future as I can never part with New Delhi, my city.

I often watch travel documentaries and shows that talk about picturesque and interesting locations around the world. I add some of those locations to my bucket list which eventually I would visit. One such place that is very interesting is Tokyo, the capital city of Japan. I had the chance to visit it a year ago and it was a once in a lifetime kind of experience. 

I am a fan of anime which are the Japanese animated shows and movies. There are many events conducted to celebrate the brilliance of the shows and their makers. There are many anime setups in Tokyo, and it is also one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It is renowned for the stunning locations during springtime with cherry and wisteria blossoms. Furthermore, there are many delicacies offered which have intricate flavours and taste amazing.

One of the major reasons that I came to become fond of the city was when I first saw a documentary of all the lovely places and tourist attractions on TV. I immediately made an itinerary and travelled to Tokyo with my friend Jane, who also loves the city as much as I do. It was an exhilarating journey where I had a chance to meet some amazing people and taste lip-smacking food. 

I was extremely excited to see all the places that I had in mind, and it was no less than a piece of heaven on earth. The people were kind and very respectable. The food was absolutely delectable and the best I have ever tasted, which made the experience all the more interesting. I had a wonderful time exploring the city and if I ever get a chance to visit it again, I definitely would.

Carson Steele's pet alligator Crocky J mentioned during Kansas Chiefs vs Baltimore Ravens

Carson Steele 's pet alligator Crocky J was made famous during the NFL season opener between the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night.

Steele, who was given the alligator as a Christmas present in elementary school, made the 53-man roster for the Chiefs despite being an undrafted free agent this year. The Center Grove graduate and 2020 Indiana Mr. Football Award winner ran twice for 3 yards in a 27-20 Chiefs win .

According to Steele , Crocky J is "around 4 or 5 feet" and is "probably 90 to 100 pounds." Steele said the alligator resides in an aquarium in Indiana.

Steele, who has been billed as " the most interesting man in college football ," first attended Ball State and then later transferred to UCLA. When he got to southern California, then coach Chip Kelly commented on Steele leaving the unique pet in Indiana.

"Glad he made the decision to leave him back in Indiana," Kelly said. "If it was here, I think we'd all know."

Steele ran for 3,294 yards in three college football seasons and registered 30 total touchdowns.

During the NFL preseason, the running back/fullback totaled 87 yards on 11 carries. Steele found the end zone twice.
