Canva is a web-based template editor with graphics creation tools and a powerful presentation builder in its free plan. Canva offers you an array of slide templates designed for virtually any purpose, along with a suite of customization tools to tailor the presentation to your topic and setting.

Canva has made a noticeable effort to optimize presentations for the smartphone. The app’s most striking feature is its selection of mobile presentation templates, which don’t lag their desktop-based peers in either aesthetics or utility. But whether or not your presentation is designed for a mobile screen, Canva lets you run it right from your smartphone, with a presenter view that shows your notes and upcoming slides. The audience can likewise engage with your presentation from their mobile devices during Q&A sessions.

Depending on your use case, you may be able to get away with Canva’s comprehensive free plan. The free Canva has presentation creation and editing tools and gives you access to a huge selection of professional templates. However, it’s the $14/month Pro plan that lets you unlock all the premium tools and graphic assets. And if you need Canva to collaborate with teams, you’re looking at $29.99 per month for the first 5 users.

To help you decide whether Canva is worth trying out, we’ve made this quick summary of the app’s pros and cons:

  • Solid free plan with basic features and a large selection of graphic assets
  • Optimized for mobile presentations
  • Elegant templates for any use case
  • Intermediate design skills required
  • No direct integration with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 (possible through third-party apps)

3. Prezi — Best slide tool for creative users

Pricing (all plans are billed annually)

  • For students/educators: $3-8 per month
  • For individuals: $7-19 per month
  • For businesses: $15-29 per month

Prezi is a web-based tool for creating presentations, videos, and infographics that are suitable for business and educational settings. The tool offers a wealth of image and icon assets, as well as templates to get you started on your slide deck. The templates do not constrain your creativity with linear slides the way PowerPoint does — you can create your presentations on an open canvas. Prezi even lets you import and customize PowerPoint presentations in its app. And, with the help of Prezi’s new AI tool, you can create and edit entire presentations quickly.

One of Prezi’s most defining features is its integration with popular video conferencing apps, such as Webex, Zoom, Teams, and Meet. Crucially, Prezi lets your slides appear on the same screen as your own video feed while you’re presenting.

Prezi offers three pricing tiers. Students and educators get the least expensive options, with plans that range between $3 and $8 per month. For individual users, plans cost $7-19 per month, while business users pay between $15 and $29 per month. All of Prezi’s plans are billed annually, but you can try the tool for 14 days without committing to a subscription.

If you’re not sure whether this presentation tool is right for you, consider Prezi’s pros and cons below:

  • Design freedom and for creating unique and attractive slides
  • Graphic assets are readily available
  • Integrates with video conferencing apps
  • AI assistant generates and edits presentations
  • Inexpensive plans for students and educators
  • Video and infographic creation part of each plan
  • 14-day free trial
  • Design skills required to create quality presentations
  • Lack of integration with Google Slides and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • No monthly billing options

4. Visme — Best for graphics and special effects

website for presentation or visualization

  • Tools for creating special effects and animating graphics
  • Ability to import and edit Microsoft PowerPoint presentations
  • AI designer helps create a presentation draft
  • Integration with Google Drive, DropBox, Mailchimp, Slack, and other apps
  • Presentation analytics tools
  • Basic package: $0/month
  • Starter package (individual): $12.25/month
  • Pro package (individual or team): $24.75-$79+/month

Visme is a web-based app for producing various types of visual content, including presentations. The app’s most distinct feature is its suite of special effects you can use to make the slides’ content and graphics more engaging. The app also lets you animate the images and insert video and audio features into the slides.

Visme integrates with a whole host of other platforms and apps. These integration options are largely designed to let you import content seamlessly into Visme. For example, you have the option of importing your PowerPoint files into Visme, enhancing them there, and exporting them back in the .ppt format if you like. That said, Visme does not work as an extension in popular slide makers, like Google Slides or PowerPoint.

You have three main pricing options with Visme. The Basic plan is free, but you’re limited in access to collaboration tools, assets, interactive, and AI features. The more comprehensive Starter plan costs $12.25 per month (billed annually), and equips you with Visme’s more premium tools. Finally, the Pro team plan sets you back $79/month for a team of 5 and lets you use Visme’s entire suite of interactivity and collaboration functions.

Here are a few vital pros and cons if you need help deciding whether Visme is right for you:

  • Vast selection of special effects
  • Ability to animate graphics on the slides
  • Simple file movement between different web-based apps
  • Free plan available
  • Free plans extremely limiting
  • No direct integration with Google or Microsoft slide tools

5. Powtoon — Best for slides with animation

website for presentation or visualization

  • Templates with configurable graphics and animation
  • Customizable fonts, colors, and logos
  • Access to stock images, videos, and soundtracks
  • Lite plan: $50/month ($15/month when billed annually)
  • Professional plan: $190/month ($40/month when billed annually)
  • Agency: $117/month (annual billing only)

Powtoon is a visual web-based content creation platform with tools for making videos, animations, and presentations. The app’s presentation function lets you build slides using professional templates, in which you’re free to customize the fonts, colors, logos, and graphics. You can even animate the graphics and build custom avatars to present on your behalf — it’s one of Powtoon’s unique selling features.

Powtoon’s suite of slide tools includes a database of royalty-free stock images, video footage, and music. You can use all of these assets in your slides, or upload your own as you see fit. However, how much of these shiny tools you can use in your slide decks depends on the chosen plan.

There are three pricing plans available, and the discrepancy between monthly and annual payments is striking. Most presentation sites charge a few dollars more if you opt for monthly instead of annual billing, but Powtoon’s monthly prices easily triple and quadruple. For example, the Lite plan costs $15/month with annual billing, but $50 if you wish to pay every month instead. You get very basic features with this plan, especially as far as animation and interactivity are concerned. Likewise, the Professional plan jumps from $40 to $190 if you choose monthly payments. You get a bit more for your buck, but some rudimentary features are still absent (like font uploads). Meanwhile, the Agency plan costs a whopping $1400 annually (no monthly option), and this plan gets you all of the app’s bells and whistles.

Not sure if investing in a product like Powtoon is worth it? Consider its pros and cons below:

  • Comprehensive animation and video creation features
  • Graphic and audio assets available with subscription
  • Fonts and logos can be uploaded
  • Most customization, animation, and AI features only come with the expensive Agency package
  • Monthly payment options are not reasonable

6. Haiku Deck — Best site for image editing options

website for presentation or visualization

  • Minimalistic interface
  • Graphic design tools for improving slide aesthetics
  • Pre-loaded templates and image assets
  • Cloud-based file sharing for team collaboration
  • AI presentation builder (Haiku Deck Zuru)
  • Pro plan: $9.99 per month billed annually, or $19.99 monthly
  • Premium plan: $29.99 per month, billed annually

Haiku Deck is a web, desktop, and mobile-based presentation builder with a significant focus on design aesthetics. The app’s design tools allow you to refine the graphics in the preloaded templates and images you’re using in the slides. You can source the images right from Haiku’s repository, which boasts over 40 million assets.

To help you create your slide decks, Haiku offers its AI assistant. The AI feature can create new presentations from your outline, or enhance your existing drafts. Since the AI learns from other Haiku users, its algorithms are now trained to outfit slides with contextually relevant imagery and graphics.

Haiku Deck’s pricing has two tiers: Pro and Premium. The Pro plan costs $9.99/month when billed annually and affords full access to the slide creation tools. Meanwhile, the Premium plan will set you back $29.99/month (again, billed annually), and equips you with features such as analytics, live web tracking, and priority support.

Here’s a summary of Haiku Deck’s most prominent pros and cons:

  • Visually appealing slides
  • Large database of graphic assets
  • Advanced tools for editing images
  • Capable AI-powered slide builder
  • No free plan
  • No integration with Google Slides or Microsoft PowerPoint

7. Zoho Show — Best presentation site for budget-minded users

website for presentation or visualization

  • Clean interface with tools changing depending on the task
  • Library for templates, slides, and fonts to facilitate team collaboration
  • Over 100 templates
  • Imports/exports PowerPoint files
  • Presentations can be controlled from smartphone or smart watch
  • For individuals: Free
  • Professional Plan: $2.50/month and up (billed annually)
  • With Zoho Workplace Standard: $3.00/month (billed annually)

Zoho is a web-based suite of business tools, and Zoho Show is its slide creation app. Zoho Show is a straightforward, inexpensive, yet fully functional slide maker that offers most of the same features you’ll get from pricier presentation sites. You can build your decks using over 100 preloaded templates, work on PowerPoint presentations before exporting them to their original file format, and run your slideshow from a smart device. Show’s most unique feature is its clean, contextual interface that only displays tools that are relevant to your current task (whether that’s handy or limiting depends on your preferences).

Zoho Show’s pricing has three tiers. First, there’s the Free plan. This package lets you build basic presentations, but you miss out on key collaboration features and have limited access to graphic assets. Next, you get the more comprehensive Professional Plan, which costs $2.50; you must sign up for Zoho WorkDrive and have a team of 3 people to get this plan. Finally, you can get the entire Zoho Workplace suite for $3/month — this option unlocks the full functionality of the Show app and lets you use other Zoho tools, such as their Office Suite, Mail, and Workdrive.

Have a look at Zoho Show’s pros and cons below to see if this presentation website is right for you:

  • Interface automatically shows tools relevant to the task
  • Ability to add custom fonts and embed files into slides
  • Templates, graphic assets, and collaboration tools included
  • Supports PowerPoint file formats
  • Subscription to Zoho Workdrive or Workplace required to access paid plan — unnecessary if all you need is a presentation tool
  • Some plans require a minimum of 3 users
  • Free individual plan limits use of graphic assets, templates, and collaboration tools
  • No direct integration with Google Slides

8. Pitch — Best presentation site for use in business and sales

website for presentation or visualization

  • Lets you build presentations with AI, from a template, or from scratch
  • Supports custom fonts and colors
  • Provides team collaboration tools
  • Allows you to embed presentations on the web
  • Offers engagement analytics tools
  • Pro plan: $25/month
  • Business: $100/month

Pitch is a web-based presentation maker designed primarily for business use. The app helps streamline slide deck creation with its AI tool, which generates a first draft based on your prompts and leaves your team with the task of refining the slides to your liking. The slides have shareable links, so your entire team can collaborate on the slide deck. You can even invite consultants from outside your workplace to edit the presentations.

Once your slide deck is complete, Pitch allows you to embed it on the web in your CMS — much like you’d do with a YouTube video. And to give you a feel for how audiences engage with your presentation, Pitch equips you with engagement and analytics performance tools.

There are three pricing options with Pitch. The free plan comes with all the presentation creation functions, but you get no tracking and limited collaboration tools. The Pro plan costs $25/month (or $22 per month when billed annually), and gives you more freedom to use Pitch in a team environment. Finally, the Business plan costs $100/month (or $85/month with yearly billing) and gives you access to the full suite of features.

Can’t decide if Pitch is the best presentation website for your team? Have a look at its most vital pros and cons:

  • AI slide creation feature
  • Performance analytics tools
  • Integration with various productivity and collaboration apps
  • Media asset library
  • Engagement tracking only available in paid plans
  • No integration with Google Slides or Microsoft 365

9. Beautiful.ai — Best site for no-frills AI-generated presentations

website for presentation or visualization

  • AI-powered presentation maker
  • Slide creation from user’s prompts
  • Automated slide formatting
  • File sharing within the team (requires Team Plan)
  • Graphic assets database
  • Pro: $144 per year
  • Team: $40/month per user with annual billing ($50 with monthly billing)
  • Enterprise: Pricing available on request

Beautiful.ai is an AI-powered presentation builder that leverages full automation to make slide creation quick and easy. All you need to do is enter a prompt for your slide deck, and beautiful.ai will generate your first draft. These AI-generated drafts are quite simplistic in terms of both content and graphics, but they serve as a good starting point. Moreover, beautiful.ai’s presentations are formatted consistently, which should save you time as you edit each slide.

You get three pricing options with beautiful.ai — Pro, Team, and Enterprise. The Pro package is meant for individual use, and costs $144 per year (there’s no way to pay monthly). The plan equips you with the AI slide maker but limits your use of assets and team collaboration features. The Pro plan costs $50/month for each user, or $480 annual for each license you purchase. This plan affords access to more customization and teamwork functions and lets you use graphic assets. Finally, the Enterprise plan includes all the features of the Pro plan, but with more dedicated training and support for your team. You’d have to reach out to beautiful.ai’s sales team to get a quote for the Enterprise plan.

Beautiful.ai helps create slides quickly and with little skill. However, if you’re not sure this app is right for you, consider its most vital pros and cons below.

  • Quick way to create and format slides
  • Inexpensive plan for personal use
  • Elegant slide templates
  • No integration with Google Slides or Microsoft 365
  • Slide content is very basic
  • Limited customization and branding options

10. Google Slides — Best for Google Workspace Users With Basic Presentation Needs

website for presentation or visualization

  • Basic presentation creation tool
  • Limited selection of templates, fonts, and colors
  • Supports import/export of PowerPoint files
  • Allows collaboration within the Google Workspace
  • Free with a Google account

Slides is the web-based presentation tool you get with your Google account. This rudimentary app features a limited library of templates, fonts, and colors, along with a basic suite of tools for formatting the text and graphics in your slides. You can insert your own image, video, and audio files into the slides, but there is no access to a library of royalty-free assets.

Despite its functional constraints, Google Slides is a useful app because it lets teams using Google Workspace collaborate easily on presentations. To get the most of Slides, though, you need to boost its functionality with a suitable extension. Google Gemini now works as an extension within the app, but for the $30 it costs you, the output is disappointing. All Gemini knows does is generate simple, low-quality images; it won’t help you produce, format, or edit presentations.

In contrast, an app like Plus AI leverages artificial intelligence algorithms to give Google Slides powers it lacks on its own. By using the Plus AI extension, you can create entire Slides presentations from a single prompt, automate slide editing and formatting, and access a rich library of templates and ready-made slide decks. Meanwhile, Plus AI’s customization features help you brand your presentations with custom fonts, colors, and your company logo.

Not sure if Google’s slide creation tool is right for you? Have a look at its pros and cons below.

  • Allows collaboration in the Google Workspace
  • Compatible with PowerPoint files
  • Supports AI-powered slide-creation extensions, such as Plus AI
  • Free to use with a Google account
  • Limited capabilities without third-party apps
  • No library with image, video, or audio assets

11. Microsoft PowerPoint — Best For Highly Skilled Presentation Designers

website for presentation or visualization

  • Vast library of slide themes, variants, and layouts
  • Database of stock images and videos
  • Massive array of slide editing, formatting, and customization tools
  • Supports collaboration in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem
  • As a standalone product: $159.99 (one-time fee)
  • With Microsoft 365 apps, for home use: $6.99-$9.99/month
  • With Microsoft 365 apps, for business use: $6.00-22.00/user/month

PowerPoint is one of the world’s oldest presentation builders that’s been part of Microsoft’s arsenal since the early 1990s. To this day, PowerPoint has been the most commonly used presentation app. But there’s a reason we’ve ranked it last on our list. Buoyed by its popularity, PowerPoint hasn’t evolved much over time; you won’t get anything beyond the most basic and uninspired presentations out of it unless you’re an advanced user with lots of time on your hands.

The app’s user interface immediately overwhelms you with options and settings. Some of these seem similar in how they function, and you won’t know which tool to use until you’ve experimented with them all. Apart from the cluttered interface, PowerPoint disappoints with its simplistic selection of templates and designs.

You can use Microsoft’s Copilot to forgo the tedious task of creating your own PowerPoint presentation, but beware: like Gemini, Copilot is still limited in its slide-making abilities. You can get it to create a slide deck from a single prompt, but the output will feature basic and repetitive along with lifeless images.

PowerPoint’s pricing is a bit convoluted at a glance — you get different options whether you want the standalone product ($159.99) or the entire Microsoft 365 suite. If you choose the latter, the Home options range in price between $6.99 and $9.99 per month, while the Business plans cost between $6.00 and $22.00 per month per user.

We don’t believe that PowerPoint is worth your time considering the vast selection of more powerful and user-friendly presentation apps on the market. However, you can review the app’s pros and cons below and decide for yourself.

  • Massive selection of design and customization tools
  • Integrates with Microsoft Copilot
  • Lets team members using Microsoft 365 work on the same presentation simultaneously
  • Overwhelming user interface
  • Very basic templates and designs
  • Creating professional presentations is a challenge for novice users
  • AI assistant cannot produce elegant, content-rich slide decks

How we ranked the best presentation sites

To make your selection process simple and effective, we ranked the best presentation websites based on these vital criteria:

  • Functionality
  • Level of AI sophistication
  • Ease of use
  • Collaboration options

Integration with popular slide creation tools

Value for money, functionality .

The best presentation sites are loaded with handy functions that enable you to make visually appealing, info-rich, and engaging presentations with little effort and minimal editing. These include customization tools, templates, image assets, and graphics refinement features.

Level of AI sophistication

AI technology is at the forefront of slide makers’ drive to create the best product for their clients. AI-powered presentation sites save you from spending long hours on writing content, digging up graphics, and then formatting every slide — AI handles these tasks for you. But not all AI slide creators are made equal. Some leave you with rudimentary decks that feature repetitive content and unrelated imagery. Others give you a solid starting point for an informative and captivating presentation.

Ease of use

The best presentation sites greet you with an intuitive and uncluttered interface that takes you minutes (if not seconds) to master. But usability goes beyond navigating the UI. That’s why we also assess the simplicity with which you can actually produce presentations. Simply put, how easy is it to create and edit slides? Do you need advanced design skills to manipulate the graphics and give the slide deck your desired aesthetic ? The best slide makers take these questions into account, so that their product makes presentations a breeze. You worry about the content, and let the app do the rest.

Collaboration options

High-quality presentation apps allow team members to create, edit, and give feedback on presentations remotely. That’s because today’s business needs, along with hybrid work arrangements, mean that more and more teams are forced to collaborate electronically. Features such as cloud-based file sharing and integration with communication platforms help different members of your team work on the presentation from wherever they are.

Google Slides and Microsoft PowerPoint are the most commonly used presentation programs in the world. These two giants are the natural, go-to option for slide creation in the corporate, educational, and institutional world. Any presentation app that’s worth its salt should integrate with at least one of these tools. At the very least, a quality independent slide app should be able to import and export files that can be used in Google Slides or PowerPoint.

The best presentation apps are usually not free, but the money you pay for them should be worth the features and benefits you get in return. That’s why we’ve evaluated each of the slide makers above based on the balance between their price point and their offerings.

How to choose the best presentation website for your needs?

You can’t really go wrong by opting for any of the 10 presentation sites above; however, to get a tool that’s tailored to your use-case, you’ll have to do a bit more research and analysis. The four steps below should help you zero in on the optimal presentation maker for your needs.

  • Consider the purpose of the presentation. Some slide tools cater to sales teams (think Pitch), others to graphic-minded users (Haiku Deck comes to mind), while others, like Plus AI, are excellent all-rounders.
  • Decide on the level of customization you need. How concerned are you with personalizing and branding your slide decks? If a generic, templated presentation is all you need for a school project, investing in a feature-rich, customizable tool may be overkill. But if you need your slide decks to feature custom colors, fonts, and convey your brand identity, opt for a tool (and pricing package) that has this functionality.
  • Decide if you want AI help. Unless you’re a skilled designer with a passion for creating and formatting slides, AI can be incredibly useful. Consider this: would you rather spend hours on refining your slides and ensuring consistency, or have the AI tool produce a uniformly formatted first draft? Check out the best AI presentation makers here.
  • Factor in your budget. Most presentation sites have similar pricing, with monthly plans ranging between $0 and $40. However, some charge more — much more. Of course, the higher price points generally translate into richer offerings that may include other apps for visual content creation. Consider whether you need these extras or if a capable slide creation tool will suffice.

13 Best Presentation Websites in 2024

A computer showing the 13 Best Presentation Websites in 2024

Presentation websites are applications created to present information as a slide show. Slideshows are presentations that comprise charts, images, videos, and the standard text. They ensure that data is displayed clearly, summarized, and readable to the audience.

Slideshows work best when presented on a projector or a big screen. Intermittently, some users might print out slide shows as documents, but this is ill-suited for that purpose.

Any presentation tool must have three fundamental functions:

  • ‍ A text editor: to input the contents of the presentation.
  • ‍ An import function: to insert and manipulate images and other content.
  • ‍ A slide-show or presenter mode: that displays the content in a nice, formatted way.

Slide shows often consist of a combination of text, video, images and charts. Their primary function is displaying clear, readable and summarized data to an audience.

Most presentations are shared and presented on a larger screen or through a digital projector. In rare occasions, slide presentations are printed out as a replacement for text documents, but this is a really inefficient way to review data, that Garr Reynolds calls ‘ PresDocs ’ (Garr Reynolds is the author of Presentation Zen, one of the most important go-to reference for successful presentations).

What makes the best presentation website?

When looking for the best presentation apps, there is a need to consider not just pitch decks but also school lectures, religious sermons, and adverts. Therefore, an excellent presentation app should be affordable, have enough sharing and collaboration options, have a range of pre-built templates, and be flexible.

Visualization in presentations

A presentation without visual aids can be very boring. It's hard to remember things if they are just words on a page or screen. But with visuals, people retain information much better. So, ensure you have some great images to help your audience understand what you're talking about.

Consider using infographics if you want to add some spice to your presentations. Infographics are visually appealing ways to present complex information in a simple way. They can include charts, graphs, maps, diagrams, timelines, etc. Many online tools are available to create them, including Piktochart , Visually, and Canva .

Presentation or visualization names of websites

Presentation websites allow you to create amazing presentations through the use of web technologies.

There are many cases when you might need to create a presentation for a particular purpose. Creating a presentation on PowerPoint is easy, but that doesn't mean it's the best option. That's why we'll talk about how to create a presentation without PowerPoint and how to get the best out of these presentation website alternatives.

However, there exist today, numerous applications, software, and websites that can help create stunning designs and art for presentations other than PowerPoint. From Slidebean to Google Slides, there are more than enough presentation apps to help you. No matter your tastes, needs, and specifications, there is always one that fits your bill. Read on to find out more.

What makes a great PowerPoint Alternative?

Pitch presentations can also be integrated with Google Analytics, Google Sheets, and similar applications.

How do I create a presentation without PowerPoint?

Numerous alternatives to PowerPoint are on the Internet. The issue is not about creating a presentation without PowerPoint but getting that presentation tool or software that can help achieve your goal.

While many tools offer free accounts to peruse and utilize online and offline presentations, some do not. This does not mean the free tools are not good, rather, it is just a marketing idea.

What can I use instead of PowerPoint for free?

Here are some presentation tools you can make use of instead of PowerPoint;

WPS Office boasts functionality and a well-designed, along with offline document capabilities. Sometimes accused of having very similar features to Microsoft Office, users can efficiently work on PowerPoint files. It also offers many templates. However, collaboration might be a bit stressful.

WPS Office is available on Android, Web Windows, iOS, Linux, and macOS.

If there is one thing Canva has, it is templates. Canva makes PowerPoint look simple with a vast array of templates for every specification. If you have a problem with making decisions, do not use Canva.

However, that is its Achilles heel; many people find themselves scrolling for so long. Not all templates are free but, it helps narrow down your options.

  • Bonus Tool: InVideo

InVideo is considered a cloud-based online video editing tool with the feature of creating slideshow videos. it contains a huge selection of slideshow templates, stock footage, photos, and music to make great slideshow videos without a watermark. Although it is available for free, some features require a premium subscription.

Without a doubt, it can be stressful to get that one presentation software that can fit your exact specifications and give the required output. Although utilizing Slidebean can be very flexible, it can also be use to produce the best infographic presentation that compares data in an easily-understood manner.

Genially in a nutshell

How do I make a presentation interactive and how does Genially work? Find the answers to all of your slide-related questions here!

What’s an interactive presentation?

Interactive slides contain clickable hotspots, links, buttons, and animations that are activated at the touch of a button. Instead of reading or watching passively, your audience can actively interact with the content.

Genially’s interaction presentation software allows you to combine text, photos, video clips, audio and other content in one deck. It’s a great way to condense more information into fewer slides.

If you’re a teacher, you can share multiple materials in one single learning resource. Students can create their own projects using digital media and online maps. For business or training, try embedding spreadsheet data, PDFs, and online content directly in your slides.

An interactive slide deck is more user-friendly than a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation or Google Slides document. That’s because you can break information down into chunks with pop-ups, labels, voiceovers and annotated infographics.

The other benefit of interactive content is increased engagement. It’s easier to keep your audience’s attention when they’re actively participating. Try Genially’s presentation software and free slideshow maker to see how it’s better than other presentation websites. You won’t go back to standard presentation apps!

How do you make a clickable slide?

The best way to make slides clickable is to use Genially’s free interactive presentation program. Design your slide then apply an interaction. In a couple of clicks, you can add popup windows, hyperlinks, close-up images, games, animations, multimedia and other content.

Choose from the library of hotspot buttons and icons to show people what to click on. Go to Presenter View to get a preview and see how your content will appear to your audience.

How do I create presentations that look professional?

You’ve got a deadline looming and you’re staring at the screen with a blank presentation. We’ve all been there! Starting a presentation design from scratch is tricky, especially if you’re short on time.

Genially’s free online presentation maker has over 2000 ready-to-use templates for professional slide presentations, photos slideshows, and more. Each slide design has been created by our team of top graphic designers. No need to worry about fonts, centering images, or designing a matching color scheme. It’s all done for you.

Start by browsing our layouts and themes for education, business and then customize with your own text and images.

How do I share or download my slides?

Because Genially is a cloud based presentation software, you can simply share the link to your slides. Like other online presentation tools, there are no files to download or store on your computer. Everything is saved online.

When you publish your slide deck, it gets its own unique url, just like a website. Share the link with others to let them explore the content in their own time. If you’re presenting live, just click the Present button.

You can also embed your presentation on your website, company wiki, or social media. Genially is compatible with WordPress, Moodle, Google Classroom, and other platforms. If you use an LMS, you can also download your interactive design slides in SCORM format.

For slideshow videos and slideshows with music, share online or download as an MP4 video. Check out our free slideshow templates for ideas.

interactive presentation websites

  • Assess your presentation needs

First things first—determine your presentation needs. What does your presentation want to accomplish? Determine whether you require a formal corporate presentation, a presentation for an educational setting, a portfolio of your artistic work, or any other particular presentation style.

  • Look into the features the website offers

Next, evaluate available features. Look for websites that offer customizable templates, multimedia support, collaboration features, integration with other tools, and data visualization capabilities. Research different presentation websites and compare what they offer to find the right fit for your requirements.

  • Ensure the website is user-friendly

Don’t forget to consider ease of use! The website should provide a user-friendly interface and intuitive design tools. Time-saving features like drag-and-drop capabilities, pre-made layouts, and various formatting options can make your presentation look professional while saving you time.

  • Check for multimedia support

Examine your alternatives when it comes to choosing a template and multimedia support. Ensure your chosen themes and templates are appropriate for your desired look and feel. Additionally, confirm that the presentation website can display multimedia components, including interactive media, audio, video, and photos. These can improve your presentation and keep your audience interested.

  • Ensure the platform allows collaboration

Collaboration and sharing options offer another critical consideration. If you plan on working with others on your presentation, look for platforms offering real-time collaboration or other features that make sharing and feedback easy.

  • Check for mobile optimization and device compatibility

One more thing to remember — with the increasing use of mobile devices, ensure that the presentation website is optimized for mobile viewing. Check if the software works well with your Windows, Mac, or tablet. It should provide responsive design and compatibility across various devices and screen sizes.

  • Review the privacy and security policy

Finally, review the privacy and security measures provided by the presentation website. Remember to consider cost when evaluating your options.

What is a visual presentation

15 effective tips to make your visual presentations more engaging, 6 major types of visual presentation you should know , what are some common mistakes to avoid in visual presentations, visual presentation faqs, 5 steps to create a visual presentation with venngage.

A visual presentation is a communication method that utilizes visual elements such as images, graphics, charts, slides and other visual aids to convey information, ideas or messages to an audience.

Visual presentations aim to enhance comprehension engagement and the overall impact of the message through the strategic use of visuals. People remember what they see, making your point last longer in their heads.

Without further ado, let’s jump right into some great visual presentation examples that would do a great job in keeping your audience interested and getting your point across.

In today’s fast-paced world, where information is constantly bombarding our senses, creating engaging visual presentations has never been more crucial. To help you design a presentation that’ll leave a lasting impression, I’ve compiled these examples of visual presentations that will elevate your game.

1. Use the rule of thirds for layout

Ever heard of the rule of thirds? It’s a presentation layout trick that can instantly up your slide game. Imagine dividing your slide into a 3×3 grid and then placing your text and visuals at the intersection points or along the lines. This simple tweak creates a balanced and seriously pleasing layout that’ll draw everyone’s eyes.

2. Get creative with visual metaphors

Got a complex idea to explain? Skip the jargon and use visual metaphors. Throw in images that symbolize your point – for example, using a road map to show your journey towards a goal or using metaphors to represent answer choices or progress indicators in an interactive quiz or poll.

3. Engage with storytelling through data

Use storytelling magic to bring your data to life. Don’t just throw numbers at your audience—explain what they mean, why they matter and add a bit of human touch. Turn those stats into relatable tales and watch your audience’s eyes light up with understanding.

4. Visualize your data with charts and graphs

The right data visualization tools not only make content more appealing but also aid comprehension and retention. Choosing the right visual presentation for your data is all about finding a good match.

For ordinal data, where things have a clear order, consider using ordered bar charts or dot plots. When it comes to nominal data, where categories are on an equal footing, stick with the classics like bar charts, pie charts or simple frequency tables. And for interval-ratio data, where there’s a meaningful order, go for histograms, line graphs, scatterplots or box plots to help your data shine.

In an increasingly visual world, effective visual communication is a valuable skill for conveying messages. Here’s a guide on how to use visual communication to engage your audience while avoiding information overload.

5. Employ the power of contrast

Want your important stuff to pop? That’s where contrast comes in. Mix things up with contrasting colors, fonts or shapes. It’s like highlighting your key points with a neon marker – an instant attention grabber.

6. End with a powerful visual punch

Your presentation closing should be a showstopper. Think a stunning clip art that wraps up your message with a visual bow, a killer quote that lingers in minds or a call to action that gets hearts racing.

7. Tell a visual story

Structure your slides like a storybook and create a visual narrative by arranging your slides in a way that tells a story. Each slide should flow into the next, creating a visual narrative that keeps your audience hooked till the very end.

Icons and images are essential for adding visual appeal and clarity to your presentation. Venngage provides a vast library of icons and images, allowing you to choose visuals that resonate with your audience and complement your message.

8. Show the “before and after” magic

Want to drive home the impact of your message or solution? Whip out the “before and after” technique. Show the current state (before) and the desired state (after) in a visual way. It’s like showing a makeover transformation, but for your ideas.

9. Add fun with visual quizzes and polls

To break the monotony and see if your audience is still with you, throw in some quick image quizzes or polls. It’s like a mini-game break in your presentation — your audience gets involved and it makes your presentation way more dynamic and memorable.

10. Use visuals wisely

Your visuals are the secret sauce of a great presentation. Cherry-pick high-quality images, graphics, charts and videos that not only look good but also align with your message’s vibe. Each visual should have a purpose – they’re not just there for decoration.

11. Utilize visual hierarchy

Employ design principles like contrast, alignment and proximity to make your key info stand out. Play around with fonts, colors and placement to make sure your audience can’t miss the important stuff.

12. Engage with multimedia

Static slides are so last year. Give your presentation some sizzle by tossing in multimedia elements. Think short video clips, animations, or a touch of sound when it makes sense, including an animated logo . But remember, these are sidekicks, not the main act, so use them smartly.

13. Interact with your audience

Turn your presentation into a two-way street. Start your presentation by encouraging your audience to join in with thought-provoking questions, quick polls or using interactive tools. Get them chatting and watch your presentation come alive.

website for presentation or visualization

When it comes to delivering a group presentation, it’s important to have everyone on the team on the same page. Venngage’s real-time collaboration tools enable you and your team to work together seamlessly, regardless of geographical locations. Collaborators can provide input, make edits and offer suggestions in real time.

14. Incorporate stories and examples

Weave in relatable stories, personal anecdotes or real-life examples to illustrate your points. It’s like adding a dash of spice to your content – it becomes more memorable and relatable.

15. Nail that delivery

Don’t just stand there and recite facts like a robot — be a confident and engaging presenter. Lock eyes with your audience, mix up your tone and pace and use some gestures to drive your points home. Practice and brush up your presentation skills until you’ve got it down pat for a persuasive presentation that flows like a pro.

Venngage offers a wide selection of professionally designed presentation templates, each tailored for different purposes and styles. By choosing a template that aligns with your content and goals, you can create a visually cohesive and polished presentation that captivates your audience.

Video presentations are highly engaging and can be shared in both in-person and virtual presentations .

4. Charts and graphs

Effective data visualizations are crucial for simplifying complex information and Venngage has got you covered. Different visual presentations aside, different presentation methods also serve a unique purpose, tailored to specific objectives and audiences. Find out which type of presentation works best for the message you are sending across to better capture attention, maintain interest and leave a lasting impression.

To make a good presentation , it’s crucial to be aware of common mistakes and how to avoid them. Without further ado, let’s explore some of these pitfalls along with valuable insights on how to sidestep them.

Overloading slides with text

Text heavy slides can be like trying to swallow a whole sandwich in one bite – overwhelming and unappetizing. Instead, opt for concise sentences and bullet points to keep your slides simple. Visuals can help convey your message in a more engaging way.

Using low-quality visuals

Grainy images and pixelated charts are the equivalent of a scratchy vinyl record at a DJ party. High-resolution visuals are your ticket to professionalism. Ensure that the images, charts and graphics you use are clear, relevant and sharp.

Choosing the right visuals for presentations is important. To find great visuals for your visual presentation, Browse Venngage’s extensive library of high-quality stock photos. These images can help you convey your message effectively, evoke emotions and create a visually pleasing narrative.

Ignoring design consistency

Imagine a book with every chapter in a different font and color – it’s a visual mess. Consistency in fonts, colors and formatting throughout your presentation is key to a polished and professional look.

Reading directly from slides

Reading your slides word-for-word is like inviting your audience to a one-person audiobook session. Slides should complement your speech, not replace it. Use them as visual aids, offering key points and visuals to support your narrative.

Lack of visual hierarchy

Neglecting visual hierarchy is like trying to find Waldo in a crowd of clones. Coupling this with video transcription can make your presentation more comprehensive and engaging. Use size, color and positioning to emphasize what’s most important. Guide your audience’s attention to key points so they don’t miss the forest for the trees.

Ignoring accessibility

Accessibility isn’t an option these days; it’s a must. Forgetting alt text for images, color contrast and closed captions for videos can exclude individuals with disabilities from understanding your presentation.

Relying too heavily on animation

While animations can add pizzazz and draw attention, overdoing it can overshadow your message. Use animations sparingly and with purpose to enhance, not detract from your content.

Using jargon and complex language

Keep it simple. Use plain language and explain terms when needed. You want your message to resonate, not leave people scratching their heads.

Not testing interactive elements

Interactive elements can be the life of your whole presentation, but not testing them beforehand is like jumping into a pool without checking if there’s water. Ensure that all interactive features, from live polls to multimedia content, work seamlessly. A smooth experience keeps your audience engaged and avoids those awkward technical hiccups.

Presenting complex data and information in a clear and visually appealing way has never been easier with Venngage. Build professional-looking designs with our free visual chart slide templates for your next presentation.

Learn why it’s important to visualize core website data & include it in a deck of slides presentation & turn data into experiences.

How to Visualize Your Website Data Into Presentation

Presentations are widely used in the corporate business to drive more sales, establish connections with potential partners, and more. Professional-looking modern slides can help you take a company to the next level. While creating your next presentation, you should focus on visualizing website data. Adding plain text won’t be enough for success. This article will tell you why it’s essential to visualize your core website data and include it in a deck of slides or presentation to turn data into experiences.

Main Reason You Should Visualize Website Data

Any trusted presentation design service can help you create a presentation, insert visuals, and create a compelling keynote. But it’s crucial to understand the main reasons that demonstrate the necessity of visualizing website data and including it in slides. First of all, the audience loves visual elements and becomes more engaged and interested in your presentation.

You must understand that perceiving numbers, figures, and stats is pretty challenging for people, so you will make everything simpler by visualizing all core data. It will be easier to follow your main idea, and the audience will get clear and transparent examples that support your words. This is the best way to present and explain your topic.

  • Enhance comprehension: Visuals help people grasp complex information quickly.
  • Identify trends and patterns: Graphs and charts can reveal insights not immediately apparent in raw data.
  • Engage your audience: Visual presentations are more engaging and can keep your audience’s attention better than text-heavy reports.

Types of Visuals: Website Data Into Presentation

A few ways enable you to visualize all your website data. Feel free to add these visual elements to your deck of slides to turn data into experiences to turn data into experiences.

Depending on the information you want to share with the public, you can create bar charts (perfect for comparing various number categories), line charts (widely used in business presentations to showcase revenue growth), circle graphs (to demonstrate percentages), or Venn diagrams (used to highlight, compare, or contrast data on a certain topic).

You can include other visuals based on your business specialization : timelines (a great choice to demonstrate chronological changes), flowcharts (to describe the flow of processes), maps, and many others.

  • Traffic Sources: Where are your visitors coming from (organic search, direct, social media, etc.)?
  • User Behavior: Pages per session, bounce rate, and average session duration.
  • Conversion Rates: The percentage of visitors who complete a desired action (e.g., making a purchase, filling out a form).
  • Demographics: Age, gender, location, and other characteristics of your audience.

How to Visualize Website Data Effectively and Include It in a Presentation

Once you understand why you should focus on visualizing your website data and know the main types of visuals, it’s time to incorporate them into your slides properly. Now, look at these data visualization tips to help you include outstanding visual elements in a presentation.

Use Visualization Tools and Services: Website Data Into Presentation

Plenty of simple and effective visualization tools and services will make everything easier for you. Don’t hesitate to use it; doing it alone will take way too much time and effort to turn data into experiences.

Your main task is to decide what data you want to share with the audience during the presentation and collect it from a website. Modern visualization tools are pretty simple and convenient, so you can create the desired charts and graphs by filling in numbers or other data in just a few seconds.

Use Different Colors While Visualizing: Visualize Website Data Into Presentation

The functionality of visualization tools is pretty diverse. You can adjust all the details, and you should focus on colors. Don’t create visuals with one plain color. Diversify it with contrasting colors to create unique visuals that will be easy to perceive.

The audience should easily find what’s most important on your charts and diagrams, so use colors to make it happen. Make sure people will be able to differentiate variables. Besides, vivid colors will draw extra attention to your slides and verbal speech, as well as to view website data in a presentation.

One Slide One Data Visualization

You should include only one visual per slide to keep the audience focused and engaged in what you are saying; otherwise, you will overwhelm and distract people from the most important things.

It’s paramount to ensure the content you share through the visual is easy to understand. It’s a common rule to discuss only one point on a slide; the same goes for slides with visuals. Also, give people some time to familiarize themselves with the data presented on a slide, and don’t rush with your verbal speech .

Come Up With a Heading

Many people miss an important detail while creating a presentation: adding headings. Your job is to develop a clear yet engaging heading for each slide containing diagrams, charts, or timelines. It should reflect the main idea of data visualization.

This is an additional way to drive interest in a specific slide and explain it briefly. Try to be concise and to the point so that the audience can concentrate on the charts to visualize website data into presentation.

Be Wise With Fonts: Website Data Into Presentation

As mentioned, you can adjust your data visualizations in any tool. Don’t overlook the importance of fonts. Your job is to choose two to three fonts that you will use throughout the whole presentation. It would help if you used the same fonts for numbers and phrases on diagrams and graphs. Everything should look polished and consistent.

It’s better not to choose decorative fonts and opt for something simpler like classic sans-serif fonts. So, It will be the most appropriate choice for a professional-looking presentation.

Make Sure All Data Is Accurate

Before you run your presentation to your audience, it’s important to rehearse a few times and ensure that all data included in the content and visual elements is accurate and corresponds to the website data. Take your time and check every graph, chart, and diagram. It’s essential for your ultimate success. Once you check all the data , you will have a killer presentation that will impress everyone.

Choosing the Right Visualization Tools

Selecting the right tools for data visualization is essential. Here are some popular options:

  • Google Data Studio : Google Data Studio is a free tool that integrates seamlessly with Google Analytics. It offers a wide range of visualization options and allows you to create interactive reports and dashboards.
  • Tableau : Tableau is a powerful data visualization tool known for its ability to handle large datasets and create detailed, interactive visualizations. It’s handy for complex data analysis.
  • Microsoft Power BI : Power BI is another robust option that provides advanced data visualization capabilities. It integrates well with various data sources and is suitable for creating dynamic and interactive presentations.
  • Excel : Excel remains a popular choice for more straightforward visualizations. It offers various chart types and is ideal for quick and straightforward data presentations.

Website Data Into Presentation Summing It Up

In conclusion, visualizing website data and including it in your presentation is essential. You can present data and statistics in multiple forms to engage with the audience and draw their attention. Using Visualization to Reduce Anxiety Symptoms

This simple and effective technique can help calm your mind and body

Jamie Grill / Blend Images / Getty Images

  • Getting Started

Anxiety is uncomfortable and distressing. If you regularly experience symptoms of anxiety, then you know how disruptive they can be to your everyday life. While getting professional treatment is important, there are also a number of self-help strategies that can be extremely helpful for managing symptoms of anxiety, including visualization.

Visualization is a popular relaxation technique that involves using your imagination to experience feelings such as peacefulness, confidence , or motivation . Visualization can also help reduce feelings of nervousness .

By enhancing your relaxation skills with visualization, you can lower your flight-or-fight response that is often triggered during times of increased anxiety.

At a Glance

If you're feeling anxious, harnessing the power of your imagination can be a useful tool for calming your mind and body. Visualization allows you to create a mental picture of scenes or settings that bring you a sense of comfort and peace. This strategy might involve using guided imagery to picture yourself in a tranquil location, imagining yourself achieving a goal, or meditating on thoughts of self-compassion. The good news is that this technique can be done anywhere, anytime. The key is to practice, use your creativity, and think about the things that help you feel calm when fear and worry start to creep in.

What Is Visualization?

Visualization is a powerful technique that can help relieve the symptoms of anxiety . The technique involves using mental imagery to achieve a more relaxed state of mind. Similar to daydreaming , visualization is accomplished through the use of your imagination. There are some people who are unable to picture images in their minds. This is known as aphantasia .

There are several reasons why visualization can help you cope with anxiety. Consider how your thoughts wander when you feel anxious. Your mind may focus on the worry , the worst things that can happen, and other cognitive distortions that only add to your sense of fearfulness.

Visualization works to expand your ability to rest and relax by focusing your mind on more calming and serene images.

Hosted by therapist Amy Morin, LCSW, this episode of The Verywell Mind Podcast shares how to make visualization actually work for you.

Types of Visualization

There are limitless ways to practice visualization. What you choose to picture in your mind is totally up to you, but the following are some common types of visualization.

Guided Imagery

The following is a beach scene visualization exercise that you can practice on your own. Beach scenes are a popular visualization due to their calming and tranquil impact. Feel free to get creative and change it to better suit your needs and imagination. Use guided visualizations like this one to relax, unwind and briefly escape from your day-to-day tasks.

Visualization Exercise: White Sandy Beach

Imagine that you are resting on a white sandy beach and feel safe, calm, and relaxed as you think about the following:

  • Turquoise water and a clear, blue sky
  • The sound of soft waves as the tide gently rolls in
  • The weight of your body sinking into your beach chair
  • The warmth of the sand on your feet
  • A large umbrella keeping you slightly shaded, creating just the right temperature

Relax your face and let go of any tension in your forehead, between your eyebrows, your neck, and your throat. Soften your eyes and rest. Allow your breath to slow down and match the rolling waves of the water. It is effortless to be here; spend time just taking it all in.

Once this relaxation feels complete, imagine that you get up and slowly walk away from the beach. Remember that this beautiful place is here for you whenever you need to come back. Take your time and slowly open your eyes.

If the beach scene doesn’t really fit you, try coming up with your own visualization. Think of a place or situation that you find to be very relaxing, such as lying down in a large field of flowers and grass, or enjoying a beautiful view of a mountain or forest.

Visualizing a Goal

Another type of visualization is where you picture yourself achieving your goals . For instance, some athletes use visualization to improve their performance.

They might picture themselves feeling energetic on game day, walking out onto the field, and scoring a goal. Research shows that this type of visualization can help improve performance under pressure. But you don't have to be an athlete to practice this type of visualization.

If you're coping with symptoms of anxiety, you might visualize what it would feel like to be anxiety-free, or what positive feelings you're hoping to embody as you release tension and stress .

Say you have social anxiety . You're nervous about attending a birthday gathering for a friend because of how many people will be there, but you really want to go. You might visualize yourself going to the party, having fun, talking to people, and really enjoying yourself.

During your visualization, you might observe:

  • What it feels like to have less anxiety in social settings
  • How your mind is less focused on worrying
  • How your body feels more relaxed and at ease

When the time comes to actually attend the party in real life, you might find it less anxiety-inducing simply because you've already visualized it going well. Visualizing positive mental representations of yourself can help improve symptoms of anxiety and boost your own self-image as well.

Compassion Meditation

Visualization is also a key component of other practices like compassion meditation. This type of meditation can help boost your mood and promote feelings of well-being. It's also a great way to show yourself greater self-love and self-compassion as you cope with anxiety.

To practice compassion meditation, find a quiet place to sit or lie down. Focus your attention inward or visualize yourself. Repeat a mantra such as "I am worthy of love and understanding."

You can practice compassion meditation to show yourself support when you're experiencing high levels of anxiety.

You might also choose to visualize a person or a situation that is bringing you any anxiety or stress. Visualizing someone you've had a disagreement with, for example, can help you foster greater understanding for them and release some of your anger or tension. Repeat a mantra such as "May this person feel peace and understanding," or "May I find peace in this situation."

Getting Started With Visualization for Anxiety

Before beginning any of these visualization exercises, make sure your environment is set up for your comfort. To better relax, eliminate any distractions, such as phones, pets, or television.

Try to find a quiet place where you will most likely be undisturbed.

Remove any heavy jewelry or restricting clothing, such as tight belts or scarves. Get ready to relax by either sitting or lying down in a position that feels comfortable to you.

To begin, it can be helpful to slow your breathing down with a deep breathing technique . Close your eyes and try to let go of any tension you may be feeling throughout your body. To relax your body and mind even further, it may also be beneficial to try a progressive muscle relaxation (PMR) exercise before you begin visualization. Try to set aside about five to 15 minutes to visualize.

How to Use Visualization for Anxiety

When visualizing your calming scene, think about what you are experiencing through all of your senses. Notice what you hear, smell, taste and how your body feels. When you feel ready to leave your relaxation scene, take your time and gradually return your mind to the present.

To improve visualization, try practicing several times a day. Relaxation techniques tend to be more helpful if you start practicing at a time when you are not experiencing high anxiety.

Through regular practice, you will be able to use visualization when you really need it, such as when you start feeling the physical symptoms of anxiety or panic .

Visualization is a great technique you can practice whenever you feel anxiety. If you're new to visualization, it may take some time to get used to it, so try to be patient. If you find visualization isn't helping your anxiety symptoms, you can also try other common relaxation techniques such as breathing exercises , yoga , progressive muscle relaxation, and meditation .

If you find you are struggling with anxiety symptoms, be sure to talk to a primary care doctor or a mental health professional such as a therapist who can help you find the best ways for you to cope.

If you or a loved one are struggling with an anxiety disorder, contact the  Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) National Helpline  at  1-800-662-4357  for information on support and treatment facilities in your area.

Enterprise Data, Analytics, and Visualization: Connecting People with Data Faster

At a glance.

EDAV is a critical part of CDC's Data Modernization efforts. This cloud-based set of technology, tools, and resources simplifies data workflows and saves time throughout the data process, from data collection to visualization and action. It allows CDC scientists to work faster and work smarter to achieve our lifesaving mission.

abstract internet data light stripe in cyberspace and network information communication technology

What EDAV does

Connects people with data faster. It does this in a few ways. EDAV:

  • Hosts tools that support the analytics work of over 3,500 people.
  • Stores data on a common platform that is accessible to CDC's data scientists and partners.
  • Simplifies complex data analysis steps.
  • Automates repeatable tasks, such as dashboard updates, freeing up staff time and resources.

Keeps data secure. Data represent people, and the privacy of people's information is critically important to CDC. EDAV is hosted on CDC's Cloud to ensure data are shared securely and that privacy is protected.

Saves time and money. EDAV services can quickly and easily scale up to meet surges in demand for data science and engineering tools, such as during a disease outbreak. The services can also scale down quickly, saving funds when demand decreases or an outbreak ends.

Trains CDC's staff on new tools . EDAV hosts a Data Academy that offers training designed to help our workforce build their data science skills, including self-paced courses in Power BI, R, Socrata, Tableau, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and more.

Changes how CDC works . For the first time, EDAV offers CDC's experts a common set of tools that can be used for any disease or condition. It's ready to handle "big data," can bring in entirely new sources of data like social media feeds, and enables CDC's scientists to create interactive dashboards and apply technologies like artificial intelligence for deeper analysis.

EDAV illustration: integrate, transform, analyze, visualize

EDAV in Action

Below are just a few examples of how EDAV is already connecting people with the data they need to make decisions and improve public health.

Connecting data to help refugees and US health partners. EDAV connected US health partners caring for Afghan refugees with information about refugees' health status and vaccination history. This connection helped avoid repeat testing and unnecessary vaccinations, and prioritized follow-up care for people in need. This also provided accessible vaccination information to states for refugees enrolling in schools and jobs.

Reducing reporting times from days to minutes . EDAV allowed CDC to evaluate U.S. Customs and Border Protection travel trends in near real-time through automated data processing. Data that usually took days to compile was ready in minutes to use for analysis and provide updates on the threat of emerging diseases in the United States.

Collaborating with partners to find infectious disease patterns. EDAV built a data process allowing external partners of Tuberculosis Epidemiologic Studies Consortium to work with large datasets on the platform. This helps CDC and external partners better understand how latent tuberculosis (with no symptoms) affects patients, as well as how to improve patient care.

Data Modernization

Data modernization is focused on improving public health data to make it more accessible, flexible, equitable, and usable for action.

The convention theme will be "For the People, For Our Future," a message inspired by Harris' previous campaign motto as district attorney – "Kamala Harris, For the People."

While the convention itself is expected to draw between 5,000 and 7,000 delegates and alternate delegates, city officials expect the event will draw an estimated 50,000 visitors to the city throughout the week.

“A credential to get into the Chicago Democratic National Convention is a hotter ticket than a Taylor Swift concert,” Chris Korge, national finance chair for the Democratic National Committee, told NBC News . “We have to tell people there’s a limit to how many people we can get into the convention.”

When and Where Is the 2024 Democratic National Convention?

The convention will be held over four days starting Monday, Aug. 19, and ending Thursday, Aug. 22 at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. It will host events from 7-11 p.m. ET.

This app ate and left like 3 crumbs😌😂

I didn’t expect to enjoy this app as much as I did. The stories are so intriguing and I was a little shocked to see K-dramas. I do wish that some of the K-dramas weren’t voiced by English actors though. I prefer just reading subtitles. It gets irritating when the mouth and words don’t match. I’m not the biggest fan of the ad situation, but I also don’t mind it either. I wish every episode was 2 minutes long and that there wasn’t a recap at the beginning. I noticed there aren’t many shows but I don’t know how long this app has been a thing so I hope more are to come. Overall I love the app. The acting is cringe at times but not as bad as some reviews make it seem. I can tell there’s a low budget so I wouldn’t expect too much anyway. Plus I feel like bad acting can make shows funnier. Still this app eats every show it puts out. I get so invested off of just a trailer. I feel like the use of adds and coins brings back what it felt like to watch shows on cable TV. Sometimes the anticipation made the show better. I also loved commercial bathroom breaks. At least I’m not waiting for a 1-2 minute clip everyday. I only have to watch an ad.

Developer Response ,

Thank you for your feedback and we very appreciate that. Could you please tell us which show has the problem of discrepancy between the mouth and the words? We will convey your suggestion to relevant department and improve it. Please stay tuned for our new version. Thank you for your support.
Normally I do not leave reviews especially negative ones. These shorts are really entertaining and I ultimately enjoy watching them. However, I am very disappointed and upset that each “short” takes up a various amount of your coins. I started out watching every ad to get my coins for the day which landed me just over 230 coins. So I was a bit excited to watch more of the series I have been trying to get through. I figured that I would be able to watch at least 4 to 5 shorts (5 minutes or so of the series for the day) but I didn’t even get that. I was able to watch two which were less then a minute long. Afterwards it says I do not have enough coins. I would give this app a 5 star review if it wasn’t for the fact that somehow the price for each short adjusts based on how many coins you have. On top of that you cannot see the price of how much each episode costs until you are out of coins. Yesterday, the next episode said it was 58 coins. Today I had over 230 coins and was only able to watch two episodes? In other words one episode cost 58 coins and the next one took the rest. It seems like a major scam to get people to really fork out the money for the game without realizing what is going on. If the company fixes the issues then I will come back and update my review. If not my review will stay. Thank you for reading. Again this is not something I do in fact this is the first review I have ever done but I would hate to see people get scammed.
Hello, please rest assured that our app will not overcharge your coins/bonus for unlocking episodes. You can also check the record of spending coins to unlock episodes by yourself: by clicking Profile-My Wallet-Detail-Episodes Unlocked. If you still have concerns in your Bonus History, please reach us via Profile-Feedback.❤️❤️

Money Hungry App

This app is a money grab. I downloaded it because I kept getting an ad for one show. I was like I might as well watch it. They prompt you every like 7 words to buy the app or watch more shows. It’s ridiculously expensive for corny shows. It cost more to buy this app then ANY streaming services and the shows are short and corny. I don’t think anyone besides children who aren’t spending their own money would do that. Anyway I watched one show over like a month would watch the ads whenever I was bored enough to do it then I get to the end of the show and they won’t let me watch the last few episodes without paying I can no longer use adds. As if they don’t make money from the ads already. Luckily because the show is corny and predictable I already know how it ends so it is what it is. And it’s $20 a week (which is $100-$120 a month, $1040 a year). not even for unlimited shows you get a certain about of coins that let you watch certain shows. It’s all confusing and a way to take money. The most expensive streaming service I know of hulus bundle with live tv is like $74 a month and that’s 3 services AND live tv. The ads are all over a minute long for less than an minute of content you will be wasting your time if you are using this app. I wouldn’t waste your time with this app. Just watch your corny shows on your normal streaming platform and save yourself the time, energy, and money. You’re not missing anything by skipping this app.
Dear, during the VIP period, you will gain unlimited access to all series on ReelShort without coins/bonus watching ads, and you can also earn free rewards: 1. Daily check-in; 2. Watch Ads; 3. Watch Ads to unlock episodes without paying. As we now with 2 new shows added weekly, hope you can give the subscription a try!

Eight Texas A&M Schools To Become Colleges

Texas A&M University is officially changing the names of eight academic units from “school” to “college,” following approval from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board earlier this year.

The change, which goes into effect Aug. 15, was announced by Texas A&M Provost and Executive Vice President Dr. Alan Sams in an email to faculty. All seven units that transitioned to using the “school” label during the university’s academic realignment in 2022 will return to their prior status as colleges. In addition, the School of Performance, Visualization and Fine Arts — created during the same realignment — will become the College of Performance, Visualization and Fine Arts.

“I appreciate your patience with the phased transitions as we graduated students this summer under the outgoing names so that we begin the fall semester with the now fully transitioned colleges,” Sams said in the email.

The updated names of all affected units are as follows:

  • College of Architecture
  • College of Education and Human Development
  • College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences
  • College of Medicine
  • College of Dentistry
  • College of Nursing
  • Irma Lerma Rangel College of Pharmacy
  • College of Performance, Visualization and Fine Arts

Among other changes approved by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, the Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences degree program will return to the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences after being moved under the College of Arts and Sciences during the 2022 realignment.

best presentation tools - header wide

Looking for the best presentation tools to help you get your presentations to the next level? Powerpoint alternatives like Visme have tons of features and tools to amp up your presentation. In this guide, we will discuss how you can make the most of some of the tools like:

  • Templates and themes
  • Slide layouts
  • Color themes

We’ve got a lot to cover, so let’s get into it.

18 Best Presentation Tools for Beautiful Presentations

Tool #1: templates and themes, tool #2: slide layouts, tool #3: fonts, tool #4: color themes, tool #5: icons, tool #6: shapes, tool #7: stock photos, tool #8: charts and graphs, tool #9: maps, tool #10: tables, tool #11: flowcharts, tool #12: icon charts, tool #13: radials, tool #14: progress bars, tool #15: animation, tool #16: transitions, tool #17: interactivity, tool #18: audio and video.

At Visme, we have two different options for users to get started with a new presentation.

The first option is presentation templates . There are over 100 editable presentation templates in Visme that range from 2 to 15 pre-designed slides for you to easily plug your content in.

Another important tool for your presentations that you have access to in Visme is free fonts. There are over 100 fonts for users to choose from in the presentation design dashboard.

Stick to three fonts or less. Too many different font faces can make your slides appear cluttered. It’s best to incorporate one font for headers, one for body copy and a possible third for an accent font.

If you don’t find the font you want, you can also utilize Visme’s Brand Kit to upload and access your own preferred fonts. This can include your company’s brand fonts or simply a personal favorite or two.

While many of the presentation themes and templates come with an already established color scheme , absolutely nothing is set in stone. You can switch out the color of every item in your presentation to match your company or your topic.

One great presentation tool that Visme has is color themes. This allows you to change the color scheme of your entire presentation with a single click.

best presentation tools - color themes visme

You can add your own brand color scheme into the Brand Kit section of your Visme dashboard so you can easily access them later. There is also a section to create your own color themes from scratch.

The color themes you create will appear at the top of the list and will switch the colors of your presentation for you without you having to pick and choose which individual elements are which color.

Using icons in your business presentation is a great way to visualize the text in your slides. You don’t want to include only text for your audience to follow along, so incorporating graphics as a visual aid is a great way to make your content more engaging.

In Visme, users have access to over 10,000 icons with four different styles to choose from.

Since you want to stick to a single icon style throughout your presentation, this gives you a way to differentiate each presentation you create while still having tons of icon options.

Access thousands of high-quality icons and graphics!

  • Vector icons to spice up any Visme design or document
  • Free to use , and great for print or web.
  • Customize colors to fit your design needs.

Use these high-quality icons and graphics to help visualize the main points in your next presentation.

Another great way to add a few design touches to your presentation is by incorporating shapes. These can be used to emphasize photos and text by surrounding them or to create a design by themselves.

Check out the presentation slide template below. It's a great example of how using circular frames around photos can help draw attention to them.

best presentation tools - shapes visme 2

Here's another presentation slide template that incorporates shapes into the design.

best presentation tools - shapes visme 3

Incorporating different shapes can help to add depth to your presentation. It’s not all text, photos and icons. Instead, there’s an entire design aspect to your slides as well.

Here’s a video of how to format shapes and lines in Visme.

Visme partners with Unsplash to bring its users a massive library of free stock photos to incorporate into presentations, infographics , social media graphics and more.

While you may have your own photos of your team, business, products and services, there are still many other options for including stock photos in your presentation.

best presentation tools - stock photos visme

You can use the search bar to find exactly what you’re looking for in the photo library and easily drag and drop it onto your presentation slide.

If you have a preset slide with images you want to change out, click on the photo to have the option to replace it appear in the top bar.

There are many ways to use presentation images , so be sure you browse through the photo library to see what options are available for you to use in your own slides.

If you’re presenting financial data, charts and graphs are key presentation mediums . There are many different chart and graph options available, from bar charts to line graphs and pie charts to funnel charts and more.

best presentation tools - charts graphs visme

Want to create your own charts and graphs?

  • Upload an Excel file or sync with live data from Google sheets
  • Choose from 16+ types of charts, from bar and line graphs to pyramid and Mekko charts
  • Customize anything, from backgrounds and placement of labels to font style and color

The Graph Engine is the first option available to users when you open up the Data tab in the design dashboard, giving you 15 chart and graph options right off the bat.

You’re able to input your data manually or import an Excel or Google spreadsheet and your dynamic chart will automatically update to reflect it.

Change colors, name axes and customize the legend. All charts and graphs in Visme can also be animated to make your presentation look even more engaging and creative.

If you’re talking about demographics or sharing information that pertains to a location within your presentation, consider adding in a map to visualize the area.

Visme’s map maker allows you to insert a world map or pinpoint any location in the world, color coding areas and creating an engaging visualization for your audience.

best presentation tools - maps visme

Set a global color for your map and color code different areas based on your information. You can hide areas on the map or showcase just one specific country or continent in the world.

There are many reasons you may need to add a table to your presentation.

You can create a schedule for the event or presentation, create a pricing table or even include a table of data next to the chart that visually represents it.

best presentation tools - tables visme

It's very easy to add a table to your presentation in Visme. You can set the number of rows and columns your table has, change cell colors, customize fonts and more.

A flowchart can help you visualize business processes, chains of command and more. And Visme makes it extremely easy to customize a premade flowchart or create one entirely from scratch.

best presentation tools - flowchart visme

There are several slide layouts that include flowcharts you can edit to fit your content, but it’s actually quite fun to play with the shapes and lines to create your own flow.

The flowchart elements are fully customizable so that you can choose outlines or filled in shapes, corners or rounded edges in your lines, line width and more.

An icon chart or an array is a way to represent data with icons. You can use this to differentiate between the number of men and women, cats and dogs, etc., that fall under different categories.

best presentation tools - icon chart pictograph visme

While the array visualization automatically comes with two icons, you can add more, change colors, switch the icons with any options from our library and more.

A radial, or circular counter, is a more engaging way to represent numbers or percentages than having them stand alone on the slide.

The thing is, not many PowerPoint alternatives have this tool. However, there are many different styles to choose from in Visme's data widget sidebar.

best presentation tools - radials data widgets visme

You’re able to customize the colors, the number, the maximum and minimum values and even whether you’re visualizing a percentage or just a number.

You can even add icons to the center of your radial to better visualize what each percentage is referencing.

Want to let your audience know how much time there is left in the presentation? Add a progress bar to the bottom of each slide.

You can also use this to show how far along the company is with creating products or gathering funding.

best presentation tools - progress bars data widgets visme

In Visme, you can choose from many different styles of progress bars, creating a new look and feel in each presentation you add this feature to.

To make your presentation more engaging , consider adding animation to the elements in your slides. This makes them move on the screen and helps grab the attention of your audience.

best presentation tools - animation effects visme

In Visme, you have six animation options:

  • Fly from left
  • Fly from right
  • Fly from top
  • Fٖٖٖly from bottom

Just remember that you only want to stick to one animation type per presentation. Having elements fly in from all different directions is not a good look and can easily overwhelm your audience.

Create beautiful and animated presentations!

  • Add your own text, images, colors and more
  • Add interactive buttons, transitions and animations
  • Customize anything to fit your design and content needs

Watch this video to learn how you can animate text, video, shapes and images in Visme.

Your transition is the way your slides appear and disappear, and it’s a great idea to give this a bit more flair than your typical slide interchange.

With Visme, you can create transitions that not only move your slide, but each of the elements simultaneously. Simply click on the gear at the right corner of the slides to access the transitions.

best presentation tools - transitions visme

The Staggered Fade, Enter from Side, Enter from Bottom, Enter from Top and Zoom In transitions all include both slide and element transitions. However, if you want to animate your elements separately, you can choose the transition Simple Fade or Slide In.

Visme also offers several great ways to make your presentation interactive.

Have Q&As, bring props, have your audience raise their hands and more. You create hyperlinks between slides and even design elements to create a unique experience for your audience.

This is a great way to make your presentation stand out and get your audience involved, so be sure to keep some of these interactivity ideas in mind.

Adding an audio narrative, recording a voice-over for your slides, incorporating background music or even embedding a video can be a great way to increase engagement in your presentation.

You can record audio directly in Visme, embed video links or embed any other type of online content directly in your presentation slides.

This can also give you a break from presenting during longer sessions, breaking up the monotony of your audience listening to the same thing for the duration of the time.

Watch the video below to learn how to embed video into your presentation and capture your audience's attention.

Frequently asked questions

What is a virtual presentation.

A virtual presentation takes place online and allows you to present to people who aren’t in the same room as you. They’re convenient ways to sync with your remote and hybrid teams, but require a different set of skills than presenting in person.

How do you create a virtual presentation?

Creating a virtual presentation is a little different than making an in-person presentation, starting with one obvious difference – you need some kind of technology in order to show your presentation virtually. Most people share their presentation on a video conferencing platform. Create your virtual presentation using a tool specifically designed for the virtual format — Prezi Video , for example, incorporates visuals and content right on your screen — for the most seamless experience.

What makes a good virtual presentation?

Since your audience is attending virtually, they’re less inclined to give you their full attention (they may try to get a little work done or check their email instead). Breaking down your presentation into bite-sized chunks allows you to take multiple breaks throughout your presentation to check in with your audience. Bite-sized pieces of information are also easier to digest, and in an age of video conference fatigue , it’s best to make your virtual presentation as easy to understand as possible. Use visuals to grab their attention, and incorporate animations with GIFs and video to help convey emotion and tone.

Why are virtual presentations important?

As more people are working remotely and businesses are transitioning into a hybrid work model , virtual presentations are becoming a staple in the modern workplace. They take place online, making it so that more people are able to attend. A highly visual virtual presentation that is packed with relevant content can be even more engaging than in-person presentations and can promote better online collaboration among teams.

How do you make a virtual presentation interesting?

Unlike a traditional presentation, you don’t have the benefit of being in the room to establish a presence. In a virtual environment, presenters need to use their cameras to make a connection with their audience. Using visuals instead of text and keeping things moving along are good ways to keep your audience engaged and interested in your virtual presentation.

Prezi’s Virtual Presentation Innovators have made the transition from in-person to virtual events, and they’ve done it in style. They use Prezi Video to put their visuals next to them on-screen and create virtual presentations that can be even more engaging than traditional, in-person speaking events. Learn how they’re re-shaping the industry and get their advice for better presentations.

W.H.O. Declares Global Emergency Over New Mpox Outbreak

The epidemic is concentrated in the Democratic Republic of Congo, but the virus has now appeared in a dozen other African countries.

The rapid spread of mpox, formerly called monkeypox, in African countries constitutes a global health emergency, the World Health Organization declared on Wednesday.

This is the second time in three years that the W.H.O. has designated an mpox epidemic as a global emergency. It previously did so in July 2022. That outbreak went on to affect nearly 100,000 people , primarily gay and bisexual men, in 116 countries, and killed about 200 people.

The threat this time is deadlier. Since the beginning of this year, the Democratic Republic of Congo alone has reported 15,600 mpox cases and 537 deaths. Those most at risk include women and children under 15.

“The detection and rapid spread of a new clade of mpox in eastern D.R.C., its detection in neighboring countries that had not previously reported mpox, and the potential for further spread within Africa and beyond is very worrying,” said Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the W.H.O.’s director general.

The outbreak has spread through 13 countries in Africa, including a few that had never reported mpox cases before. On Tuesday, the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention declared a “public health emergency of continental security,” the first time the organization has taken that step since the African Union granted it the power to do so last year.

“It’s in the interests of the countries, of the continent and of the world to get our arms around this and stop transmission as soon as we can,” said Dr. Nicole Lurie, the executive director for preparedness and response at the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations, a nonprofit that finances vaccine development.
