S3 is a film directed by Hari starring Suriya,Shruti Hassan and Anushka Shetty in lead roles.It is a sequel to the cop series Singam 1 and 2 by the same team.

Singers : Javed Ali, Priya Subramaniyam, MC Vickey Lyrics :PA.Vijay,MC Vickey

O Sone Sone is that song from Harris’s album that has lyrics that are whacky and have a catchy tune to it. Javed Ali’s voice is perfect for the song. MC Vickey’s rap portion adds to it well. The song has hosaka and many other meaningless words but makes us like it, thanks to the tune. The guitar portions in between have worked well too.

Singers :Harish Raghavendra,Swetha Mohan,N.S.K Ramya, Karthik Lyrics : Thamarai,N.S.K Ramya

A melody with one of the best voices. Lyrics by Thamarai are impressive as usual. The beats get a little repetitive but the tune is catchy as we expect it to be. Vocals by Swetha Mohan, Harish Raghavendra are pleasing to the ears. The second part of the song that has Karthik rendering his voice is also pretty good.

Universal Cop

Universal Cop is another fast paced song by Harris for S3! It fantasizes the kind of cop Suriya is in S3. Strong,quick and unbeatable sort of a worship song that has a monotonous tone to it. The song’s rap portions are good. Harris’s special saxophone sounding voice is present in this song.

He’s My Hero

Singer : Malavika Manoj Lyrics :Director Hari,Malavika Manoj

The song is an English jazz-based carol. It has lyrics predominantly in English with a few Tamil lines in between. It is a pleasant jazz number with a single beat as the tempo playing throughout. Vocals by Malavika Manoj are good.

Singers : Karthik,Nikita Gandhi,Christoper Lyrics :Director Hari,Harris Jayaraj

Wi Wi Wi Wi Wifi has a very dance based theme. It is a song that has Nikita Gandhi showing why she is such a good singer. Karthik does well as usual. The song has a few variations and layers after it’s first minute. It is a very danceable song and has something catchy about it too! Perfect for the commercial genre from Harris Jayaraj.

Mission To Sydney

Singer :Lady Kash Lyrics : Director Hari,Lady Kash

Mission to Sydney is a proper commercial rock number that might suit the pace of the film. This is also a song that has lyrics by the singer and director themselves. Lady Kash has scored well with her peculiar voice. The song seems a little abrupt towards the end but ends with the same bang it started with.

S3 Theme Music

Singer: MC Vickey Lyrics : Director Hari

S3 theme is a proper commercial theme that is super fast paced. It is perfect for the kind of cop story that Singam is. MC Vickey’s vocals and Hari’s lyrics are good and apt for the song and genre. It, however, is not a goosebumps theme music. It just has the pace required for the film.

Singham 3 has been facing all sorts of troubles to see its release light. After being postponed for over three months now, the action entertainer has finally hit the screens today. Let’s see whether it gives Suriya some much-needed relief.

Narasimha(Suriya), who is quite popular as an aggressive cop is deputed to Mangalore to deal with a special case involving the murder of a police commissioner. Upon landing in Karnataka, Narasimha easily cracks the murder case but finds out that there is a dreaded mafia don called Vittal(Anoop Singh Thakur) behind all this.

At the same time, Narasimha also finds out that Vittal is managing his nexus from Australia and is creating huge problems all over. Rest of the story is as to how Narasimha manages to nab the international criminal Vittal and where do Shruthi Haasan and Anushka feature in this entire set up.

Plus Points:-

As always, one of the biggest assets of Singham series is the man Suriya himself. Even in the third installment, Suriya packs a punch and his performance will be loved by the fans and masses. Be it his fights, aggressive dialogue delivery and electrifying screen presence, Suriya holds the entire film with his impressive performance.

Shruthi Haasan gets a meaty role and does well in the acting department. Coming to the villain Thakur Anoop Singh, he makes an impressive debut and gives a tough competition to Suriya. Also, credit should go to director Hari for showcasing the villain in a very stylish and menacing manner.

The action sequences need a special mention as they have been designed in quite a racy way. They look real, especially those designed in the second half elevate the film quite well.

Minus Points:-

The basic backdrop of Singham 3 is the same like its previous parts. Story wise, one should not expect much as the film has the same context of a powerful cop solving a high profile case. The only difference is that the villain and the scale of the film are quite huge. There is nothing new about the storyline as things are quite predictable most of the time.

The film has many traces of the second part as multiple scenes quickly remind you of Singham 2. There are a few scenes throughout the film where logic goes for a toss. Comedy track in the film is not that good and does not help the proceedings much. Too much of action episodes many not be liked by a certain section of the audience.

Technical Aspects:-

Singham 3 has superb production values. The film has some great visuals and the makers should be lauded for going all out and not compromising on the look of the film. As said earlier, action choreography looks real and boosts up the proceedings. Harris Jayraj’s music is the biggest drawback of the film. None of his songs impress one bit. Editing is just about okay but the dialogues written for Suriya are quite good.

Coming to the director Hari, he has done an okay job with the film. Even though he increases the scale of the film, the core emotion which was the highlight of the earlier 2 parts is surely missing in Singham3. He has just taken the same old storyline and has made things look grand. Narration wise, there is nothing much to rave about his direction.

When you talk about the Singham series, you instantly get reminded of Suriya’s rocking cop avatar and action packed fights. Well, Singham 3 has all of this but there is nothing novel or special to rave about. The story, concept, and execution are the same as previous parts but Suriya once again holds Singham 3 with his superb performance. The action entertainer will mostly be liked by the masses and hardcore action movie lovers. So, go in well prepared as there is nothing much that you have not seen before.

I just saw a film that made made realize Tamil cinema should never do sequels. Singam 3 is directed by Hari and it stars Surya, Anushka, Soori, Shruti Hassan (for some reason) and Thakur Singh. The Good

Surya. The man can act. He has saved some horrid scripts in the past (I’m looking at you Anjaan .) He delivers what is necessary as Durai Singam. This is his 3rd venture with the character, so there isn’t much to with it. This isn’t his fault - that’s completely on the script.

The other actors are fine in it. They work well with the script given to them. The plot itself is quite interesting in its social message. Sadly, there isn’t much else that's good.

One thing I can guarantee is that Hari cannot write or shoot comedy. The comedy in this film is horrible, but for one joke about oranges. The rest of the humour falls flat and you can feel it. Even Soori couldn’t save the jokes - and that man cracks me up.

Although the plot itself was interesting, the execution was bad. The sped-up frames, the horrible action scenes, the bad subplots of a love triangle (really Hari?). Everything was going so fast that if you sneezed, you would miss the entire film - that's how fast the film is moving. You cannot take a breather in order for you to catch up on what’s going on - there is always something moving and none of it had to do with the plot.

The thing is Hari isn’t a bad director. He is known for his speed that’s how he told stories. Some of his good commercial films - Saamy , Singam 1 , Seval and Arul (one of my favourite films) have the same feel. In this it felt too claustrophobic. This was clearly a producer thing or a horrible misstep by Hari - but I haven’t even covered the surface of how bad this film is.

Shruti Hassan. Once upon a time - a lifetime ago - I thought she was pretty and a good actress. A lifetime later, I’m regretting that thought. She is a horrible addition to this film. She serves nothing except for being a bumbling idiot to drive a horrible plot. She is such a 2-dimensional character and actress.

The villain was the worst. All the character does is scream, go shirtless, insult India, and repeat. I miss the days of Mark Anthony and Muthupandhi. Harris Jayaraj is a generally a good composer but I don’t know what happened - the music in this movie was atrocious.

Overall, this is yet another poor representation of Tamil cinema. It's odd because Hari is a competent director with some great films. But this was a complete misstep and clearly a money-grab film. Let’s hope Saamy 2 isn’t subject to the same flaws.

I give this film a 1.5/5.

'Singam 3' Review: Suriya Roars!

Suriya and Hari have created "Singam" series seven years ago and the franchise has become hugely popular in all languages.

The first movie in the series was successfully remade in Hindi too. So, ever since the third installment was announced, the fans and general audiences have been waiting for its release.

Although the movie got postponed several times, the expectations on the movie have not diminished. So has the third part lived up to the standards set by the earlier parts? Let's find out.

Story: DCP Narasimham (Suriya), who belongs to AP cadre, is sent to Mangalore city when some gang kills the city's Police Commissioner. As per rule, he cannot work in another state, but he is sent to Mangalore on central deputation.

Narasimham is married to Kavya (Anushka) but he tells everyone that he is divorced so that the gang would leave his wife.

In Mangalore, comes to know about MS Reddy (Sharat Saxena) and his link with Australian businessman Vittal Prasad (Thakur Anoop Singh).

The Australian businessman is dumping all the medical waste and other scrap from Australia in Mangalore. This whole nexus is interlinked with the killing of Police commissioner. How DCP Narasimham cracks the case is the rest of the story.

Artistes’ Performances: If there is no Suriya, there is no Singam movie. He is the epitome of an angry young cop. As Narasimham aka Singam, he has lived in the role in the earlier versions and he is even more aggressive in this third part too. The movie is completely Suriya's show.

Anushka who was also seen in the earlier two movies has played her continuation part but hers is minor role here. She looks very stout.

Shruti Haasan's is regular masala movie heroine's character that we see in Hari's movies. She has played the journalist role but mostly does what Hansika did in the second part. Radhika and other actors have done their job well. 

Technical Excellence:   Major feature of "Singam" movies has been the high-octane action episodes shot with high technical values.

Kanal Kannan’s action stunts are the main strength. He has come up with some good action episodes, while the cinematographer Priyan has filmed them in an equally grand way and those are edited with sharp pace.

The slick editing and rich photography are noticeable. Music by Harris Jayaraj is bad. 

Highlights: Suriya's performance as Singam Better second half Classy taking  Racy action episodes

Drawback: Weak story Dull first half Shruti and Anushka both lack appeal

Analysis: The first and second parts in the "Singam" series have already prepared us what to expect from this third. While the first movie "Yamudu" was 100 percent paisa vasool cop drama, the second instalment was pretty average.

The third part also goes in same way but the racy action episodes and rich visuals in the second half make this movie worth a watch.

Truth be told, there is no dhum in the story at all. But director Hari makes the movie racy, giving us no time to think but enjoy Suriya's action and performance. As always, Surya carries the entire film on his shoulders with his terrific charisma.

Since story is single point - bringing down the Australian businessman, there are no major twists and turns in the screenplay. This has made the movie seem lengthy. Despite typical Tamil style comedy track, it is Suriya who makes the movie interesting.

His aggressive performance, damn fit look, and terrific screen presence score over everything. And the action sequences deserve special mention. The container chase sequences are mind-boggling in the second half. The proceedings post-interval are super-racy.

There are many clap-worthy moments post-interval too. Though overall, the movie is not as gripping as the first part. But if you are fan of Suriya or Singam series, you will not be bored.

The director has completely followed the same template of earlier two movies but he has shot the film with classy production values. Though songs are shot richly, they are not catchy.

On the downside, the movie doesn't have any novelty; it follows the same path of the first two parts. In the second part we have Hansika trying to win the love of Suriya, here Shruti Haasan fills in her shoes.

In earlier part, Suriya goes to some African country hunting the main villain; here he goes to Australia to do the same hunt.

As said earlier, director Hari’s grip in handling action episodes with high technical strength and extracting best output from heroes has helped this movie too. After "Yamudu", Suriya has shown high energy now.

All in all, "Singam 3" works due to never-a-dull-moment in the second half, Surya's excellent and fab performance and Hari's racy narration. This is paisa vasool for Singam lovers.

Bottom-line: Only for Singam!

The wait for Suriya's much anticipated film Singam 3 , aka Si3 has come to an end finally. In fact, it's been a long wait for Singam 3 as the makers had initially announced it as a Christmas release. However, various factors forced them to push forward the release dates.

Interestingly, the film had the premiere in US and Canada on Wednesday and is set for a grand release on Thursday in India. While the film will open in 500 plus screens in Tamil Nadu, its Telugu version Yamudu 3 is set to release on a whopping 850 plus screens in Telugu states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Suriya has a huge fan base in Kerala and hence, the release of Singam 3 is going to be a very special one in the state. Also, it’s the first time his fan club is releasing a movie across the Kerala.

'Singam 3' aka Si3 will be bigger and better, says director Hari

The All Kerala Singam Suriya Fans and Welfare Association (AKSSFWA) owns the film’s distribution rights in collaboration with Sopanam Entertainment. The fan shows have already begun from 8 am at various parts of Kerala.

Plot: Durai Singam (Suriya), a fierce honest cop has been promoted as Commissioner (Crime Branch). He is all set to head to Andhra Pradesh to investigate the murder of former Commissioner of Vizag. The course of investigation leads Durai Singam to international mission where me meets up with the villain. Why was the Commissioner murdered and how he handles the case forms the crux of Singam 3 .

Going by the early reports, the movie directed by Hari is fast paced and has some amazing action sequences. Check for a few tweets:

Racy screenplay in a typical Suriya style is the best part of the movie. Anushka and Shruti Haasan just make few appearances but barely manage to make an impact. Keeping away the logical part, Si3 is a power packed action entertainer.

Singam 3 Review : A Heavy Dose of Action Sequences !

After getting postponed on numerous occasions, Suriya’s much awaited cop drama Singam 3 is finally released today ( Feb 9th) all over. Singam-3 stars Shruthi Haasan and Anushka Shetty as the female leads. Singam’s electrifying trailers promise high voltage action drama and Suriya will be seen as a dynamic cop in a larger than life characterization. S3 did a phenomenal prerelease business in Telugu states and is set to register thumping openings due to solo release. Directed by Hari, S3 is a production of Gnanavel Raja and has its music score done by Harris Jayraj. Let’s us see if the Singam franchise continues to impress with its third part or not.

The third installment of ‘Singam’ franchise , Singam 3 ( titled ‘ Yamudu’ in Telugu), is about a fierce cop Narasimha who investigates the murder of the police commissioner of Mangalore city. Narasimha ( Suriya ) , belongs to AP cadre, has been promoted to CBI in order to be transferred to Mangalore assignment. During the course of investigation, Suriya learns that local mafia don A.S. Reddy ( Sharad Saxena) was the one who murdered the police commissioner. While trying to close A.S.Reddy, Narasimha realizes that there is much bigger plot behind the commissioner murder. Further investigation drives Suriya towards the mining and steel baron Vittal Prasad ( Thakur Anoop Singh ) who is an immigrant citizen of Australia. Vittal , who is also the son of Indian union minister , operates a globally networked mafia of Medical waste , e-waste such toxic material dumping.

Watch it on big screen to know why an international mafia is connected to Mangalore local mafia, how Narasimha tracks down to Vittal and punishes latter.

Performances:

Suriya as Narasimha is simply superb, carries Singam 3 solely on his shoulders. With his fiery eyes, handle bar mustache and well-toned body, Suriya is a perfect fit for ruthless police officer role. His daring stunts, swift movements are eye feast for fans and masses.  Anushka , in Suriya’s wife character, has limited screen time and as she was totally out of shape. Shruti Hassan plays investigative journalist, has limited scenes as her co-heroine. She looked good in Wi Wi WI WiFi song. Senior actress Radhika has played an important role. Comedian Soori ’s comedy thread is totally annoying, one of the major negative points in this film. Robo Shankar got considerable role as Suriya’s assistant officer, fits well to the role

Singam 3 has thin story line, entirely based on action scenes. Right from the word go, scene after another, it is all about a strict police officer’s tirade against the bad. With background score being very loud, by the end of the movie audience will be exhausted. Previous parts of Singam 3, especially Singam 1, was filled with highly charged up elevation scenes, and succeeded. But in Part 3, only couple of episodes came out well. The one in Australia airport is highlight of the film. Comedian Soori’s thread comes as an annoying speed breaker throughout the movie.

Movie picks up momentum right before the interval, continues the tempo for majority of the rest of the film. While the screenplay is superfast, no boring moments, but regular audience will be exhausted because of action episodes and loud BGM. Director Hari made a racy film for masses and fans of Suriya’s ferocious Singam series.

Singam 3 is an outright action thriller that caters to the fans of Suriya and action movie lovers. The racy screenplay is one of the highlights, high intense action episods are impressive at times. However, the failed comedy thread and loudness in action scenes hampers the experience to some extent. Overall, Singam-3 is an average film which may do good business in mass centers.

Singam 3 movie review: Suriya roars too loudly in this potboiler

Singam 3 Director: Hari

Half an hour into Singam, a fact that is too glaring is how regressive the franchise has become in terms of packaging and characters. When the first film released in 2010, it was an out-and-out money spinner at the box office, that sort of paved the way for Singam 2. Despite a mediocre plot, Singam 2 became the second highest grossing film of that year. After the teaser of Singam 3 went viral, we were hoping that the makers would come up with something solid this time. But we've been proven wrong.

DCP Duraisingam (Suriya), an honest police officer from Tamil Nadu is assigned a case by the Home Minister of Andhra Pradesh Sathyanarayana (Sarath Babu). He's in charge of the murder of Visakhapatnam police commissioner Ramakrishna (Jayaprakash). Since the film is set in Andhra, Duraisingam beats up some 30 goons in his introductory scene. Through his investigations, Duraisingam comes to know about the illegal transportation of non-biodegradable wastes from Sydney to Vizag by a billionaire Vittal Prasad (Thakur Anoop Singh).

After establishing the film's subject, Duraisingam sets out on an international mission to nab Vittal and hence, the song Universal Cop. Be it Duraisingam's punch dialogues or the noisy background score, Singam 3 is too loud and leaves us exhausted towards the end.

For most parts of Singam 3, there's hardly any scene that is hard-hitting or makes an impact. Except, probably, the one where Duraisingam confronts Vittal for the first time in Sydney. It is laced with too many dialogues that sometimes it tickles your funny bones. In fact, when Duraisingam meets Vidhya (Shruti Haasan), he says, "Ennaku athigama pesina pudikathu." Ah, the irony.

Soori plays a comical police constable Veeram, whose one-liners are pathetic. His portions with Shruti Haasan are cringe-worthy. Singam 1 worked mainly because of its villain played by Prakash Raj and the cat-and-mouse game was enjoyable. Thakur Anoop Singh as Vittal Prasad fails to carry on the legacy left by Raj. There's an interesting portion about e-wastes and organ wastes, but Hari seems to be less interested in exploring that. Instead, all we see is Duraisingam, 100 junior artists and 200 cars flying in the air.

Actors Anushka Shetty, Nassar, Vijayakumar and Radharavi are part of Singam 3 just to keep the franchise going. Shruti Haasan has a song with Suriya and a couple of scenes. She has been used as a filler in most of the films and yet, Shruti is omnipresent in Hari's films.

Given that it's a commercial film, Hari expects the audience to take Si-3 light-heartedly. However, we deserve well-made entertainers like his Samy, Vel or even Singam. Singam 3 might not be Harris' best work, but definitely not bad either. It's a pucca masala album that works well for the B and C centers. Having said that, the jarring BGM in this instalment has gone up by several decibels.

Normally, after watching a film, people would want to know about your experience. In case of Si-3, it is summed up in a dialogue from comedian Goundamani: "Naaku cevilu vilipinchi lenthandi babu."

Singam3 Review (Si3) - Roars Louder

Following the commercial success of Singam 2 despite mixed reviews, Hari has teamed up again with Suriya to bring to screen Singam 3. It is clear even after delivering successive hits had not made Suriya nor the director Hari complacent. 

Suriya's dedication and hardwork is evident in every frame. It is clear that Suriya has not taken the success of Singam franchises for granted. Suriya takes the effort to still maintain the continuity in his characterization, high energy levels on screen and lion-sized aggression intact as in previous episodes. Suriya looks fit and young while rest of the cast members show some ageing during the course of last 7 years. Suriya has a number of applause worthy performances throughout.

Director Hari

Hari sticks to what has been working; he has not taken any risks in changing a thing. The basic structure of all his 3 parts have essentially followed the same pattern. The scope and scale of issues that Duraisingam takes on has gotten bigger. Hari must have taken the mixed reviews from 2nd part to his heart. Hari has worked harder on getting a tighter script with more plot details packed tightly. Hari has made sure he closed the links and loose ends from the past episodes. For example, Hari ensured that Manorama's demise is intelligently weaved in as part of the story and to give a closure. Similarly, referencing a few scenes from 2nd part when trying to get away from the Australian cops at the Airport. Hari is more keen on hunting down the baddies and less on allocating screen time for love, romance and emotional scenes. The movie could have cut down multiple sub-plots and probably focused on delivering more impact on setting up the key scenes. Despite these minor criticisms, Hari keeps it engaging and quite literally running for most parts.

The cast and characters are essentially the same with minor changes. Anushka screen time continues to decrease. Similar to Hansika's role in Singam-2, Shruthi plays the one-side love interest infusing some lighter moments. There is an army of renowned star casts making very brief appearance. One new addition is Radhika with a couple of short and impactful scenes. Soori provides comic relief, taking over the mantle from Vivek and Santhanam in previous parts.

Music and Technical 

With minimal changes to the technical crew, Hari has managed to keep Si3's style and making very consistent with previous parts. The fast ramp edits, whizzing camera work, loud background scores are very much the same and keeping up what is expected of Singam franchise. Harris Jayaraj is probably the biggest change on the technical side. Harris sacrificed his personal style to adopt Devi Sri Prasad's style of background music, which has been an integral part of Singam 1 and 2. Harris' background score helps the scene despite being continuous and loud. However, Harris' contribution in the songs department is weak, further aggravated by familiar choreography and picturization. The intensity of stunts have been amped up to incredulous levels as Suriya tosses and kicks villains in all directions. The art work is most noticeable in "Sone Sone" song with elaborate set design. The editing is so dense with no room for emotions as it rushes all the time.

No doubt, Singam 3 (Si3) is better than the 2nd part. However, Si3 still doesn't match the first installment in terms of engagement. Hari has put in more effort to keep it more interesting. Si3 episode has all the necessary ingredients to keep the Singam franchise flying high. However, the inopportune timing of release while TN people are pre-occupied by political turmoil in Tamil Nadu may prove to be a dampener for the movie.

When a Police Commissioner of Mangalore city is killed, the much-respected Andhra Cadre DCP Narasinham (Suriya) is called in. He comes to this Port city and takes up the case. Here he meets a girl Vidya (Shruti) who is impressed with his honest cop image. She teases him and expreseses her love to him. But he doesn't reciprocate. His wife (Anushka) also lives in Mangalore but for outside world they pose as divorced couple for safety. DCP Narasimham soon realises the nexus between local mafia man (Sharat Saxena) and Vittal Prasad (Thakur Anup Singh), the Australian businessman who is dumping e-waste and medical waste in India. What these both have got to do with the killing of DCP, and how he takles with them is the remaining story.

Analysis: Hari directed Suriya starrer 'Yamudu' (Singam) was riveting masala action drama. It was sucessfully remade in Hindi too. The sequel was released with the title 'Singam' in Telugu was also an okay entertainer. Racy screenplay and stunning action are the strength of these movies. But the director seems to have run out of ideas for the third installment though he has used same tropes and tricks of earlier two movies.

30 minutes into the movie, we come to know that the movie is just circling on same spot, not progressing further as the "plotline" is wafer thin. Why Narasimham is deputed to Mangalore is revealed before the titles have rolled, why Narasimham is not living with his wife is also revealed in the first ten minutes, who the villains are and what they are doing is also told in the 30 minutes. Still, the director runs the drama for another 120 minutes without any major conflict or twists.

The first half is filled with this setup and some outdated comedy track by Suri and laughable and repetitive track of Shruti-Suriya. In fact, what director has done is repeating the second part and first part scenes with less aplomb.

The feel of deja vu exhausts. Predictablilty of the narrative is another drawback. Despite that, the action stunts and Suriya's performance impresses. The action episodes are shot well, the Mangalore/Vizag is captured beautifully. Suriya as usual has come up with superb performance in the role of Narasimham.

Suriya is the main asset to this series and he single-handledly drives the movie with roaring acting style. He holds the film his classyness in the role of agressive cop.

None of the actors any impact though it has large cast. Thakur Anoop Singh in his debut role as villain is okay but he is too weak for Suriya. Anushka has no role in the movie other than appearing in one song or two scenes. Shruti Haasan's role is xerox copy of Hansika in the second part. Suri's comedy track is yuck.

Cinematography, action stunts are first rate. Apart from Suriya, these two technicians in the movie get brownie points. As writer and director, Hari has failed to tell or add anything new in this series.

Bottom-line: 'Singam 3' is by and large is exact copy of 'Singam 2'. Other than Suriya's performance, everything gives the feel of deja vu. It may work well for mass audiences, though.

Singam 3/ S3 is an Indian action-masala film written and directed by Hari. A sequel to Singam II and the third film in the Singam franchise, it stars Suriya, Anushka Shetty and Shruti Haasan in the lead roles. The movie released in Telugu and Tamil languages simultaneously.

Titled as SI III in Tamil and S3 in Telugu the movie released worldwide today. Singam 3 is already the most popular sequel in the super cop series and is expected to debut at the box office. It is the third sequel of Yamudu movie. Here is the complete review of Suriya’s SIII/ Singam 3 movie.

Singam 3/ S3 Movie Story:

Si3 aka Singam 3 action thriller drama features Suriya as DCP Durai Singam, Anushka Shetty as Kavya and Shruti Haasan as Vidhya. The film keeps crowd drew in as a result of the very much outlined screenplay with intriguing factors which makes audience entertained.

Suriya (Durai Singam) as a wild and ferocious cop has been promoted to Commissioner (Crime Branch) will make a beeline for Vizag to explore the murder of the previous Commissioner of Vizag. During the course of the investigation, Suriya unfolds the mystery over the murder which leads to the international mission. What’s the deal about the mission and why was the Commissioner murdered forms the crux of the story.

Singam 3/ S3 Movie Review:

After entertaining the audience with power packed action scenes with 2 sequels here is Singam3 finally got released after a long time. Suriya impressed the audience with his powerful performance and manly looks. He is simply superb as Narasimha. It is a one man show. After Mangalore commissioner got killed, Law and order situation goes out of control and Karnataka govt hands over the case to CBI. AP cadre Narasimha ( Suriya ) deployed on the task to investigate the case.

The film has some real life incidents attached and is also going international in terms of crime and action. Anushka And Sruthi Haasan done justice to their roles. Unlike the first 2 parts, Singam 3/ S3  revolves around the Commissioner murder. It is the only thread in the investigation. The Intro scenes are very powerful.

Comedy track based on a constable is not that much impressed. Some scenes featuring Anushka doesn’t impress the audience. Last 30 minutes before the interval is good with back to back action episodes. Australia episode is one of the highlights of the movie, in terms of heroism elevation. The Second half is non-stop action compared to the first half. With a lengthy chase in the climax the movie comes to an end. The movie is an out and out mass entertainer.

Singam-3 is a non-stop action movie which may work for Suriya Fans and for those who like action films. Director Hari succeeded in designing and executing few episodes but failed to create an overall positive impact like previous parts. Worth a watch!

O Sone Sone is that song from Harris’s album that has lyrics that are whacky and have a catchy tune to it. Javed Ali’s voice is perfect for the song. MC Vickey’s rap portion adds to it well. The song has hosaka and many other meaningless words but makes us like it, thanks to the tune. The guitar portions in between have worked well too.

A melody with one of the best voices. Lyrics by Thamarai are impressive as usual. The beats get a little repetitive but the tune is catchy as we expect it to be. Vocals by Swetha Mohan, Harish Raghavendra are pleasing to the ears. The second part of the song that has Karthik rendering his voice is also pretty good.

Universal Cop

Universal Cop is another fast paced song by Harris for S3! It fantasizes the kind of cop Suriya is in S3. Strong,quick and unbeatable sort of a worship song that has a monotonous tone to it. The song’s rap portions are good. Harris’s special saxophone sounding voice is present in this song.

He’s My Hero

Singer : Malavika Manoj Lyrics :Director Hari,Malavika Manoj

The song is an English jazz-based carol. It has lyrics predominantly in English with a few Tamil lines in between. It is a pleasant jazz number with a single beat as the tempo playing throughout. Vocals by Malavika Manoj are good.

Wi Wi Wi Wi Wifi has a very dance based theme. It is a song that has Nikita Gandhi showing why she is such a good singer. Karthik does well as usual. The song has a few variations and layers after it’s first minute. It is a very danceable song and has something catchy about it too! Perfect for the commercial genre from Harris Jayaraj.

Mission to Sydney is a proper commercial rock number that might suit the pace of the film. This is also a song that has lyrics by the singer and director themselves. Lady Kash has scored well with her peculiar voice. The song seems a little abrupt towards the end but ends with the same bang it started with.

Singer: MC Vickey Lyrics : Director Hari

S3 theme is a proper commercial theme that is super fast paced. It is perfect for the kind of cop story that Singam is. MC Vickey’s vocals and Hari’s lyrics are good and apt for the song and genre. It, however, is not a goosebumps theme music. It just has the pace required for the film.
