10 creative Ideas for your Title- and End-Slides in Presentations

Of all the slides in a PowerPoint presentation, the ones that are without a doubt the most important ones are the first and the last one. It makes perfect sense â the title slide sets the general tone. Make it boring and youâll loose your audienceâs attention within the first few minutes. If youâre making it exciting and innovative on the other hand, youâre taking a big step towards giving an amazing presentation and having an engaged audience. It is very similar with the final slide. It will be the one that people are going to remember most, the one that is supposed to make people leave the room thinking âWow! What a great presentation!â A bad ending could even mess up what would otherwise be a good performance overall (just think of a good TV show with a bad endingâŚ).
The most common mistakes for title and final slides
If you asked 100 people what belongs on your PowerPointâs title slide, the majority would answer âThe title, maybe a subtitle, the presenterâs name and company, the dateâ. That kind of title slide is alright, but you usually say all of these things in the beginning of a presentation anyway. Also, it is very likely that most of your attendees know these things â they usually signed up for it after all. So whatâs the point in listing all of that information on your title slide, when you could also use it for making a stunning first impression? Not only the title slide is commonly designed in an uncreative and conventional way. Too often, you can see PowerPoint presentations ending with the âAny Questions?â or even worse â the âThank you for your attentionâ slide. âThank you for your attentionâ is a set phrase that has been said so many times it canât possibly be delivered in an authentic way anymore. Therefore, itâs better to think of something else for your grand final. Finding an unconventional ending that suits your presentation style makes you seem much more charismatic and authentic than using an empty phrase.
1. An inspiring quote
An inspiring quote on your slide is a perfect way to both start and finish your presentation. Well, it does not have to be inspiring. It could be any quote that is somehow connected to your presented topic. Just have fun looking through books and the internet to find interesting quotes that you want your audience to hear. Good pages to look at for inspiration are goodreads and brainyquotes.com .
2. A blank slide
This might seem strange to some people, but a blank slide can be really powerful if you want to have your audienceâs full attention. You can use the advantage of blank slides by incorporating them at the beginning, in the end or even in between your regular slides. You can either use a blank slide of your regular template (so there will still be some design elements on it) or go all in and make the slide completely black (or white).
3. A call to action
If the goal of your presentation is to really make your audience act in some kind of way, there is no better way to start â or better yet end your presentation than with a call to action. This can be literally anything from little trivial things like âDrink enough water during the presentation so your brain stays intact!â â which will lighten up the mood â to more serious calls like âHelp reducing waste by recycling whenever possible!â.
4. A question
Usually, it is the audience that asks questions after a presentation. However, you can also turn that around and ask your attendees instead. However, itâs important to ask a question that can be answered easily and individually â the best questions involve previous experiences and personal opinions (asking about facts or questions that are hard to understand can often lead to silence and no one wanting to answer).
5. An interactive poll
Nothing engages the audience like a live poll. Conduct one right at the beginning to get everybody envolved, and/or wait until the end to get your audienceâs opinion on something. Icebreaker polls are the perfect way to start, as they lighten the mood. You can easily create polls for free with interactive software tools such as SlideLizard .
6. A funny picture, meme, or quote
Iâm pretty sure that every student nowadays has that teacher that just tries a little too hard to be cool by throwing in a meme on literally every single slide. That may be a bit too much. But just a little comedy at the beginning or in the end can make you seem very charismatic and entertaining and catch the attention of your listeners. Open (or close) with a joke, a funny picture or a quote â whichever you feel comfortable with. It is usually best if it has something to do with the topic youâre presenting.
7. An interesting fact
Catch the audienceâs attention by putting an interesting fact concerning the topic on one of your slides â ideally at the beginning, but maybe also in the end (to keep up the audienceâs interest even after the presentation is done).
8. The title, but with a twist
If you feel like you need to put the presentations name/topic on the front slide, but still want that little creative twist, just change the title slightly. According to what Iâm proposing, rather dull presentation titles like e.g. âMarine Biology â An Introduction to Organisms in the seaâ can be transformed to âMarine Biology â Diving Deepâ (or something less cheesy if you prefer). Make it either funny or over-the-top spectacular and catch the audienceâs attention!
9. A bold statement, opinion, or piece of information
This is probably the best way to capture your audience from the beginning on. Start with a radical, crazy opinion or statement and then get your attendees hooked by telling them that during the presentation, they will learn why youâre right. It could be anything, really, as long as it goes well with your presented topic â from the statement âEverybody has the time to read 5 books a monthâ to âGoing to college is a waste of timeâ or âThe human species is not the most intelligent on earthâ â Take whatever crazy, unpopular theory or opinion you have, throw it out there and (very important!) explain why youâre right. Youâll have your audienceâs attention for sure and might even change some of their opinions about certain things.
10. No title and end slide at all
Yes, thatâs a possibility as well. If you absolutely canât think of any creative or otherwise good way to start and end your presentation â even after reading the tips mentioned above â then simply donât. Thatâs right - no title and end slide at all. You can pull that of by simply introducing yourself in the beginning, then getting right into the topic (which makes a good impression, long introductions are usually rather tedious) and when youâre at your last slide just saying a simple âGoodbye, thank you and feel free to ask questionsâ.

How to Design a Great Presentation Cover Page
A cover page is a quick and easy way to add polish to your presentation. We'll cover a few tips for creating a great cover image, and we've got ten free PowerPoint cover image templates you can download at the bottom of the page.
The cover image sets the tone for your presentationâyou don't want to dive right into the contentâand is a great opportunity to start your deck off on the right foot.
What to include
Your cover image should include these basic facts:
- Title Short and sweet.
- Your contact information. Email or phone number
- Your company logo. It's all about branding.
Bonus tips:
Cobranding. Presenting to a customer? Add their logo to personalize the presentation.
Conferences. Including your Twitter handle is a great ideaâyou might gain some followers, and it gives your audience someone to tag when they gush about your awesome presentation.
Know your Audience
Consider how your audience will view your presentation deck (projected, on their laptop, or printed like it's 1995), and make sure that the scale of your design is appropriate.
If you're presenting at a conference, your type needs to be big enough to read from the cheap seats, and make sure you have enough contrast that the text is legible even if there's poor projector quality. You don't want your audience squinting at the screen before your presentation even starts. And rememberâthe title page will be what's on screen when you're getting readyâwalking up to the stage, fixing your microphone, or just swallowing back the sheer terror of public speaking.
If you're emailing the presentation, make sure your cover image works well as a thumbnail. That will be the first thing your reader sees when she receives the fileâand, let's face it, a better image is going to drive more opens than a boring one.
Know your brand
If you have an established brand, your cover image needs to reflect it. One of the biggest problems we see with decks out in the wild is when the creator goes off-brand and uses the wrong colors or typeface. Imagine how surprising it would be to see a presentation from Coca-Cola without their trademark red, or Facebook without their blue.

Now that we have the basics down, here are some techniques you can use make a well-designed cover image.
Stock Photography
The workhorse of cover images is stock photographyâan attractive photo with plenty of negative space, then place your text on top of it. The trick is to find the right photo and make it work for you. Pexels is a great place to find free images you can use anywhere. When you're looking for stock photos, keep these tips in mind to help you find the right image.
Sometimes you'll need to do a quick bit of editing to make the image work for you. The important thing is to find an image that works in the background âone that lets your reader focus on your message, not the photo. These images tend to look boring all by themselvesâyou need to use a bit of imagination to see how it will work once you layer text on it.
Once you have an image, you can desaturate and tint it to give it better contrast for your text, or manipulate the image to give it more negative space, as you see below.
Typographic
Nice typography will take a you a long way, and it's something you can do in PowerPoint without any special tools. We're in a renaissance of great, free fonts. Take a look at this selection of the best Google Fonts from the always awesome TypeWolf for inspiration.
Using custom fonts can be tricky in PowerPoint. If you're having trouble getting your fonts to show up, take a look at this article . If you're sharing the PowerPoint with others, they'll need to have the fonts installed (we recommend always exporting your deck to PDF before sharing with customers to avoid font problems).
We all know PowerPoint isn't the greatest design toolâbut it does the basics well enough, and you can use it to make a minimal design that works well.
Even though they're "easy" to do, with the right layout and sense of balance you can make a design that really sings with hardly any design elements.

How to create an effective title slide in PowerPoint

Presenters often overlook a valuable opportunity to connect with their audience: their title slides.
Think about it. Your title slide is up there on the screen while you wait for the audience to arrive and find their seats. It might be onscreen while you’re being introduced by your host. Your title slides can be very effective billboards for you, but only if you design them well.
The most important elements of a title slide
Since title slides are usually on display for a while before a presentation, you want to make sure that they’re doing a good job of marketing you, your topic, and your company. Always include the following elements on your title slides:
- Title of presentation, with a subtitle if the presentation’s title is unclear
- Contact information (email address, Twitter account, website, etc.)
- Company logo
Providing this information on the title slide tells the audience what they’re about to hear, who’s responsible for the presentation, and how to get in touch with you if they need to.
Simple title slides
Let’s look at a typical title slide for a corporate presentation:
- There is too much text on the slide and it’s all competing for our attention.
- The abundance of Facebook logos distract viewers from the logo of the presenter’s company.
- That subtitle looks more like a paragraph.
- You don’t have to point out the organization to which your audience belongs. The audience already knows what company they work for.
- You also don’t have to tell them what day it is.
Here’s how I would redesign this slide while remaining true to the template:
- The multiple Facebook logos have been replaced by an image that appears to be on a computer screen. Because I chose the typographic Facebook logo, it doesn’t compete with the presenter’s company logo.
- The presenter’s name appears to be a window on a computer screen, and his email address and Twitter name have been provided.
- The company logo is now on the top of the slide, giving it the most importance.
- The subtitle has been shortened from 19 words to four.
Animated title slides
Sometimes your subject matter will lend itself to a more interesting approach to your title slides. Animating a title slide can be a great way to provide contact information, to invite people to subscribe to your blog or newsletter, or to introduce opportunities for audience participation. The animation reveals information a little at a time, creating anticipation and interest.
We begin with a plain, unimaginative title slide:
Wake me when it’s over
ZZ ZZZZ ZZ ZZ ZZ … snork! Wha…what? I’m awake, I’m awake. I wasn’t sleeping!
The title and subtitle are fine, but, again, the remaining text doesn’t tell the audience something they don’t already know. And the layout is totally boring.

Click on the video link below to see how the animations play on this title slide. I’ve sped up the animation for this demo, but if this slide were actually being used in a presentation I’d wait a couple of minutes between animations.
Presenting this information in the form of sticky notes is a good idea for this particular subject because they are used to organize thoughts and messages. They are often overused, being pasted on top of one another until their original purpose of organization is lost. Take a look at the image below, which is what the audience would see after the animations have played out.
This slide tells the audience who the presenter is, provides a personalized greeting, and includes four calls to action, including an opportunity for an audience member to win a prize. This last bit will keep people interested and engaged in the presentation, because everybody likes getting something for nothing!

How To Create A Title Slide For Presentation
Based on the device or platform youâre using PowerPoint on, you can pick from three different methods to create a presentation title slide in PowerPoint.
Method 1: Choosing A Template From The PowerPoint Library For Creating A Title Slide
Step 1: To create a title slide, open the PowerPoint presentation application and click on âNew.â
Step 2: You will find many PowerPoint templates; double-click on the template you like and click on âCreate.â
Step 3: The template you chose will appear. Now, the template will already have a title slide design.
Step 4: Click on the title and edit it according to your needs.
Step 5: Select the title and edit its font style, color, thickness, etc. You can customize the title, keeping in mind the background color or image of the slide.
Step 6: You can play around with the title slideâs image by cropping or adjusting it to meet your presentation style requirement.
Step 7: If you donât like the background image, you can even delete it and adjust it according to your liking by clicking on the âDesignâ tab and then on âFormate Background.â
Step 8: Tip: A plain title slide looks boring; therefore, add animations by clicking on âAnimationsâ on the file menu bar. Select the title and choose any animation.

The cover page is at the very start of a document. From the beginning, the purpose of this page is to provide the reader with a good idea of what your document is all about. You communicate this information by including all the relevant information on this page. Here are some helpful steps to follow when making a cover page for the project in Microsoft Word:
- First, open a new document in Microsoft Word.
- Click on the Insert tab to find the drop-down menu for cover page templates. From there, you can choose which template you’d like to use for your project.
- When you click on a template, it will appear as the first page of your document.
- Click on the fields which have already been pre-formatted and start typing the information. First, the title of your document then the subtitle, the date, your name, and more.
- If you don’t see a style you like in among the available templates, you can also customize one of the pre-formatted templates. For instance, you’d like to change the background image of the template, simply right-click on that picture then select “Click Picture” in the menu.
- If in the middle of making your document, you’d like to change the cover page, you can do this too. Just go back to the first page then choose a new template from the menu. In doing this, the information you’ve added won’t get changed.
- After you’ve added all the information on your cover page, don’t forget to save it in a location that’s easily accessible.
As we’ve said, making a cover page doesn’t require much effort. Even if you want to make your own customized template, you can do this in a matter of steps and in very quick time. The pre-formatted templates available in Microsoft Word will save you a lot of time and effort. However, using such a template would mean that you can’t make your own personality and style shine through. Here are some steps to follow if you plan to design your own portfolio cover page:
- Choose one of the pre-formatted templates from the Insert tab then start editing the template. Change the colors, font styles, and all the other elements in the template.
- You can get stock-free images online and use those for your cover page. Move the elements around and see which arrangement is the most aesthetically appealing.
- When you’re happy with how you cover page, save your document to preserve your customized design.

How to create a title page?
Title pages are simple and easy to make. However, you need to follow some specific guidelines when making them. You can download our title page template if it fits into the style you’re instructed to follow. Since making such a template isn’t complicated, you can also make it yourself. Just follow these steps:
- Space the title of the document about a third down the page. If your document has a long title or it has a colon somewhere in it, you can use two lines for the title.
- Make use of “title case capitalization” wherein you use a capital letter at the beginning of the important words such as the verbs, nouns, adjectives, and adverbs.
- Add your name as the author of the document right below the title. Use your complete name and start with your first name, middle initial, then your surname. If more than one person wrote the document, include all of the full names.
- Add the name of your institution, organization or university. This will tell the readers where you performed most of your research. If several authors from different institutions wrote the document, add the name of the institution right below the name of the author/s.
- Now it’s time to format your template. Your title page should be double-spaced. To do this, highlight the text and choose the double space option in the line spacing drop-down menu.
- Your title should have a horizontal center alignment.
- Then add a running header which appears at the top of the page and continues throughout the document. But the header isn’t the title of the document, just a few keywords or about 50 characters.
- The next thing to add is the page number which appears at the upper right-hand corner of the cover page and all the other pages in the document.

Title a slide
There are multiple ways to add titles to your slides in PowerPoint. Use the Layout option to create a standalone title slide or to add a title to a slide that contains other text. You can also use the Outline view or the Accessibility ribbon to create and update the titles of your slides.Â
Select a heading below to open it and see the detailed instructions.
Use the Accessibility ribbon to title a slideÂ
You can use the Accessibility ribbon to add or edit slide titles and to make sure your slides are accessible to everyone.
Select Review > Check Accessibility . The Accessibility ribbon is displayed, and the Accessibility pane opens to the right of the selected slide.
Select one of the following options:
Note: The available options depend on whether a title placeholder exists or not, and what type of element is selected on the slide.
To move the cursor to the title placeholder, select Edit Slide Title .
To add a title placeholder to the slide and move the cursor to the placeholder, select Add Slide Title .
To add an off-slide title placeholder and move the cursor to the placeholder, select Add Hidden Slide Title . Because the title is positioned off-slide, it will be invisible during a slide show, but the title is available to help users navigate or select the slide.
If there is no title placeholder on the slide, to let the Accessibility Checker select the text box or shape that seems most like a title, select Set as Slide Title . This makes the selected object your slide title. If there is another text box or shape you want to use as the title, select the object, and then choose this option. Only objects with text that aren't in groups can be made into a title.
Selecting the Slide Title  button without expanding the dropdown menu does the following:
If an object that can be set as the title is selected on the slide, that object is set as the slide title ( Set as Slide Title ).
If there is a title, but no object is selected, the cursor moves to the title placeholder ( Edit Slide Title ).
If there is no title and no object is selected, a title placeholder is added and the cursor moves to the placeholder ( Add Slide Title ).
Type or edit the slide title.
Tip: To review your presentation for missing or duplicate slide titles, run the Accessibility Checker, and then check the Accessibility pane to find them.
Use the Layout option to title a slide
You can name or rename a slide by using a slide layout that has a title placeholder .
Select the slide whose layout you will change so that it can have a title.
Click Home > Layout .
Select Title Slide for a standalone title page or select Title and Content for a slide that contains a title and a full slide text box. Many other layout options include titles, too. Pick the one thatâs best suited for your presentation.
Select the Click to add title text box. Enter your title for that slide.
Use Outline view to title a slide
You can also create a slide title in Outline view. This view also shows the titles for any other slides in your presentation.
Click View > Outline View .
A slide without a title will have no text to the right of the slide number.
If your slide already has a title, it appears next to the slide number.
Click to the right of the slide number.
Type your new title here, or update an existing slide title. Your text will appear on the slide as you enter it.
Tip:Â You can use Outline view as your notes when you give a presentation.Â
Put a title on a slide, but make the title invisible
You can position a title off the slide. That way, the slide has a title for accessibility or sorting reasons, but you save space on the slide for other content.
On the View tab, select Zoom and then lower the zoom percentage to about 50% so that the margins outside the slide are visible.Â
Type a title in the Title placeholder box.
Drag the Title placeholder upward or downward and then drop it outside the slide boundary.Â
You can confirm that the title will be invisible during a slide show by selecting Slide Show > From Current Slide .Â
Systematically hide slide titles
If you want all or many of your slide titles to be hidden, use Slide Master view to achieve it. Duplicate the slide layout for which you want to have hidden titles. Then on the duplicate layout, move the title placeholder off-slide. Then apply the new layout to the appropriate slides.
For example:
On the View tab of the ribbon, in the Master Views group, select Slide Master .
In the slide thumbnail pane on the left side of the PowerPoint window, right-click a slide layout (such as Title and Content Layout ) that you want to alter and choose Duplicate Layout .
Select the duplicated layout.
Select the title placeholder, drag it upward, and drop it outside the boundary of the visible slide.
If PowerPoint doesn't allow you to drag the placeholder that far, use View > Zoom to make the slide surface area appear smaller so that there is adequate room to move the placeholder fully off-slide.
Close Master view and return to Normal view.
Select a slide whose title you want to hide. Right-click it, and apply the "hidden-title" slide layout that you just created.
The title moves to an off-slide position, but it still exists. You can see the title of the slide by switching to Outline view.
Put the same title on every slide
If you want the same title on every slide, you may be thinking of what PowerPoint calls a footer . For instructions on putting footers on your slides, see Insert or change footers in PowerPoint slides .
Why slide titles are important
Having slide titles is valuable for:
Accessibility    A visually impaired person that uses a screen reader relies on the slide titles to know which slide is which.
Helping various PowerPoint features work correctly    Design Ideas, Apply Layout, and Reset Slide work better on slides that have titles. Insert Hyperlink, Insert Zoom, and custom shows all refer to slides by their titles.

It also helps them to understand the topic much better. Especially if the presentation is about some study with a lot of terminology and facts.
While some people would argue with me that sometimes “less is more” – having a title on every slide will give you many benefits I already mentioned.
Another thing to keep in mind.. you don’t need to make them visible to your audience. Just keep them there so you can remind yourself where you are in the presentation. It helps a lot.

How do you make a good title for each slide?
When crafting titles for your slides, try to always keep in mind a bigger picture. Step back, and try to think: “What sentence would draw the best conclusion for this specific slide?” and “How it would impact the rest of my presentation” ?
Don’t make the mistake of titling your PowerPoint slides without deeper thinking. It’s essential that it makes perfect sense.
Now be careful.. while it can make perfect sense to you, your audience might not get it. So what I recommend to avoid this scenario is to always show your presentation to a few people and ask them, if they understood everything.
That way you get non-biased opinions and feedback.

The title page of your thesis or dissertation should include your name, department, institution, degree program, and submission date.
Usually, no title page is needed in an MLA paper . A header is generally included at the top of the first page instead. The exceptions are when:
- Your instructor requires one, or
- Your paper is a group project
In those cases, you should use a title page instead of a header, listing the same information but on a separate page.
The title page of your thesis or dissertation goes first, before all other content or lists that you may choose to include.
In most styles, the title page is used purely to provide information and doesn’t include any images. Ask your supervisor if you are allowed to include an image on the title page before doing so. If you do decide to include one, make sure to check whether you need permission from the creator of the image.
Include a note directly beneath the image acknowledging where it comes from, beginning with the word “ Note .” (italicized and followed by a period). Include a citation and copyright attribution . Don’t title, number, or label the image as a figure , since it doesn’t appear in your main text.

What should be included on the title page of a conference presentation
I am preparing slides for a conference.
And I struggled (a bit) for what to put on the title page.
I know the paper title is a must, maybe the conference name, place, date.
How about authors and affiliation?
Should I put all the authors name on the title page?
Or only the presenter?
How about if they are from different institute?
Should I put all the institute names on the first page?

- @LyndonWhite: You're right that it's redundant, but it seems to be traditional. Slides don't usually go online by default, but sometimes people do post them or share them privately, in which case this is useful information to have attached. Practically, it helps you check that you have loaded the correct slides, and I think maybe it also lets the audience feel subconsciously that this is a very special talk created just for them (although in fact it fact it probably isn't). – Nate Eldredge Commented Sep 13, 2017 at 13:25

Yes, of course, unless there are tens of authors (common in particle physics: I dunno how they handle it... maybe with a group photograph). You can then highlight the speaker's name.
Frequently, one puts institutes' logos instead.

To answer from a slightly different perspective: As somebody watching the presentation, I would like to see the following:
- A title (if possible, one that reflects what you're actually going to talk about, rather than what you thought you would be talking about a year ago when you submitted the abstract ;-))
- The authors' names and affiliations. Make it clear who is speaking, in case I don't know you personally.
- An email address for queries (put it at the end as well, but if it's at both ends there's a stronger chance that it'll remain up for long enough to note it down)
Try to resist the urge to turn it into a dense mass of extraneous information and logos. Do not include the following unless you have to:
- The name or city of the conference
- Funders' logos
If I am at a conference I know where I am. Unless it's been a very long and tiring conference I probably know the date as well. These things may be useful metadata for archival purposes, but it isn't needed by the audience - so put them in small grey text somewhere on the slide, invisible (or at least not attention-grabbing) from a distance.
Similarly, if I'm watching your presentation I probably care about the research, and maybe who did it - not who funded it. Don't include funders logos on the title page unless required to do so; instead, put them on an acknowledgements slide at the end, with anybody else that you owe acknowledgements to.

What is an advisory committee.
Advisory committees provide independent expert advice to the FDA on broad scientific topics or on certain products to help the agency make sound decisions based on the available science. Advisory committees make non-binding recommendations to the FDA, which generally follows the recommendations but is not legally bound to do so. Please see, " Advisory Committees Give FDA Critical Advice and the Public a Voice ," for more information.

Location: The public may attend the meeting at the FDA White Oak Campus, 10903 New Hampshire Ave., Bldg. 31 Conference Center, the Great Room (Rm. 1503), Silver Spring, MD 20993-0002. The public will also have the option to participate, and the advisory committee meeting will be heard, viewed, captioned, and recorded through an online teleconferencing and/or video conferencing platform.
The Committee will discuss new drug application 213972, for oral sulopenem etzadroxil/probenecid tablets consisting of 500 milligrams (mg) sulopenem etzadroxil and 500 mg probenecid, submitted by Iterum Therapeutics US Ltd., for the proposed indication of treatment of uncomplicated urinary tract infections caused by designated susceptible bacteria in adult women 18 years of age and older.
Meeting Materials
FDA intends to make background material and the link to the live webcast available to the public no later than two (2) business days before the meeting in the Event Materials section of this web page. If FDA is unable to post the background material on its website prior to the meeting, the background material will be made publicly available at the location of the advisory committee meeting and on FDAâs website at the time of the advisory committee meeting. The meeting presentations will also be heard, viewed, captioned, and recorded through an online teleconferencing and/or video conferencing platform. The online presentation of materials will include slide presentations with audio and video components in a manner that most closely resembles an in-person advisory committee meeting.

Interested persons may present data, information, or views, orally or in writing, on issues pending before the Committee.
FDA is establishing a docket for public comment on this meeting. The docket number is FDA-2024-N-3538 . The docket will close on September 6, 2024. Submit either electronic or written comments on this public meeting by September 6, 2024. Please note that late, untimely filed comments will not be considered. Electronic comments must be submitted on or before September 6, 2024. The https://www.regulations.gov electronic filing system will accept comments until 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time at the end of September 6, 2024. Comments received by mail/hand delivery/courier (for written/paper submissions) will be considered timely if they are postmarked or the delivery service acceptance receipt is on or before that date.
Comments received on or before August 29, 2024 will be provided to the Committee. Comments received after that date will be taken into consideration by FDA. Oral Presentations
Oral presentations from the public will be scheduled between approximately between 1:45 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. Eastern Time. Those individuals interested in making formal oral presentations should notify the contact person and submit a brief statement of the general nature of the evidence or arguments they wish to present, the names and addresses of proposed participants, whether they would like to present online or in-person, and an indication of the approximate time requested to make their presentation on or before August 21, 2024.
Time allotted for each presentation may be limited. If the number of registrants requesting to speak is greater than can be reasonably accommodated during the scheduled open public hearing session, FDA may conduct a lottery to determine the speakers for the scheduled open public hearing session. Similarly, room for interested persons to participate in-person may be limited. If the number of registrants requesting to speak in-person during the open public hearing is greater than can be reasonably accommodated in the venue for the in-person portion of the advisory committee meeting, FDA may conduct a lottery to determine the speakers who will be invited to participate in-person. The contact person will notify interested persons regarding their request to speak by August 22, 2024.
Webcast Information
CDER plans to provide a free of charge, live webcast of the upcoming advisory committee meeting. If there are instances where the webcast transmission is not successful, staff will work to re-establish the transmission as soon as possible. Further information regarding the webcast, including the web address for the webcast, will be made available no later than two (2) business days before the meeting in the Event Materials section of this web page.

Avatar 3 is officially titled Avatar: Fire and Ash.
James Cameron and stars Zoe Saldaña and Sam Worthington took the stage Friday at D23 to show off concept art, not footage, with a look at the fire Na’Vi people.
“I came 7,000 miles from New Zealand for this,” Cameron told to the full house at the Honda Center before revealing the title in a snippet of footage. The filmmaker wasn’t ready to show off any clips.
